Hi Martin - Radha had filed this query on my behalf.  Let's call these 2 teams T1 and T2.  I've double- and triple-checked that T1 and T2 meet all 4 criteria, specifically:

  1. Team schedule:  Scrum / Iterations
  2. Start:  Monday
  3. Iteration length:  2
  4. Custom Sprints:  7 total (for each), and the NAMES, STARTS and FINISHES for all 7 Sprints are identical for T1 and T2.

So since both teams use Custom Sprints, and per your response it seems that the Capacity View cannot be used if any team uses Custom Sprints (even if they're identically named/starte'd/finish'ed), then  guess we'll have to use the "Per Team" view.  Can you you confirm/refute definitively?

Thx!

-Rick

The message appears if:

  • Not all teams use the same methodology (e.g. some Scrum some Kanban)
  • Not all teams use the same sprint length (e.g. 2 weeks vs. 3 weeks)
  • Not all teams start their sprints on the same weekday
  • Some teams have custom sprint with a custom name defined (even if they are the same lengths)

Maybe the last point is the reason in your case if all teams are scrum and have the same length: Check in the details view of the teams if there are any custom sprints. If yes, then you'll have to use the "per team" view.
