How can we use Roadmaps across federated jira instances?

We have an internal JIRA instance and an external JIRA instance (provided by a supplier).

We would like to know how we can report across both instances.

The higher levels are in the internal JIRA instance and this instance has Advanced Roadmaps installed. The external instance has only a few projects for some DevOps teams.

We can not find options to do this with Advanced Roadmaps.

We came up with some possible options:

  • synchronize the relevant projects across both instances
  • issue a feature request for Advanced Roadmaps
