So, I'm writing a book, called "The Accelerator". It's going to be a series of simple, actionable recipes about how to accelerate your software development based on my 41 years of experience in the industry, which is truly 41 years, not the same 6 months 82 times.
The most broadly applicable recipe is what I've figured out about managing your bug backlog. I'd like to present this on X, as a live broadcast.
How this would work:
You would have to be willing to screenshare your companys Jira at least to me, but ideally to the public as well. After that, I would just coach you through the various aspects of my method:
1. Being rigorous on feature vs. bug. What's the verb for this issue?
2. Being rigorous on what the next-action is for a remaining bug.
3. Driving Technical-driven features organically using Jira.
4. Discussion about there being only really 3 priorities that matter: 0, 1, Duly Noted.
Takers?
