First Atlassian Community Event in Vietnam: World Class Software Development - A Recap by David Bui

Hello Atlassian Community!

As the first Atlassian Community Leader in Vietnam and CEO of BiPlus.com.vn, I'm excited to share the success of our inaugural Atlassian Community Event in Hanoi. On February 13th, we gathered 30+ passionate tech professionals both in-person and virtually to discuss World Class Software Development.

The energy was incredible. As a former CTO, I've seen firsthand the challenges Vietnamese teams face in software development. Our initial poll revealed familiar struggles:

• Low productivity and focus issues

• Difficulty tracking work against objectives

• Challenges in talent acquisition

• Time management concerns

What struck me most was seeing that 50% of attendees are already incorporating AI into their development processes - a promising sign for our tech community's evolution.

During the session, we deep-dived into:

1. The complete software development lifecycle

2. Building the RIGHT thing (not just building fast)

3. Enhancing developer experience

4. Leveraging AI in development workflows

5. Creating transparency across teams

The Q&A session was particularly engaging. Teams wanted to know about:

• Connecting insights from Jira Product Discovery to development

• Using AI to reduce administrative overhead

• Measuring improvements in developer experience

One key takeaway:

Looking ahead, we're committed to building a vibrant Atlassian community in Vietnam. This event was just the beginning. We're planning regular meetups, knowledge sharing sessions, and hands-on workshops.
