Explore boards, lists, and cards
What's a board?
A board is a place to store related tasks or information. They're a great way to visualize tasks and ideas in one place. You can use boards to track your own work and ideas or collaborate with others.
👇A team uses this board to manage their projects.
What’s a list?
A list is a place to hold related information within a board. You can use them to categorize information like incoming orders, ideas for social media posts, new hire onboarding, team goals, or the steps in a workflow.
👉 For example: Many people use Trello to track their daily responsibilities with lists like To do, In progress, and Done.
👉 Another example: Many people use Trello to plan their week with a list for each day of the week, and another list for completed tasks.
There’s no limit to the number of lists you can add to a board, and you can arrange and title them however you like.
👇 Here's a look at four lists, all sitting within a board.
What’s a card?
A card is the smallest unit in Trello, representing tasks, ideas, and information.
👉 For example: A card could represent a blog post you need to write or a homework assignment.
You create cards within a list. Then, you simply drag and drop cards to other lists as needed. You can add as many cards as you need.
👇 Here's a look at a few cards, all sitting within different lists.
Cards have a front that you see when you’re looking at the entire board, and a back that includes a lot more detail.
👇Click a card to open it and see more information.
Explore workspaces
Workspaces are collections of boards shared with a set of users.
👉 For example: Every Trello user gets a personal workspace by default. This is a great place for boards that track your personal work, brainstorm ideas, work on new skills, and even plan a birthday party!
👇 Here's a personal workspace with several boards in it.
