Thomas Schlegel Community Champion

Once upon a time, the admin was asked once again for something, that Confluence was not providing out of the box. A space administrator told him that his space includes pages belonging to five different topics. The space admin designed a great home page for his space and five logos for the five topics. People should…

Hello everybody, here we are again - it's the special time of the year - the smell of fresh baked cookies, gingerbread, a lot of blinking and glittering lights, children with big eyes staring through big shop windows (or searching on their most favorite online shop, but that idea is not so romantic...). Regardless of…

He who asks is a fool for five minutes, but he who does not ask remains a fool forever - Mark Twain Today, the admin wants to encourage you to ask questions here in the community. Not as if there weren't enough already, but maybe your own special question is still missing. First of all, don't hesitate to ask anything.…

Hello everybody, it's the beginning of the most wonderful time of the year. A time for baking cookies (and giving your admin some of them), peace on Earth, decorate almost everything, listen to "Last Christmas" in an endless loop. A time for hunting christmas gifts in crowded cities, drinking "Glühwein" at Christmas…

Once upon a time, there were a lot of people in the admin's kingdom who wanted to get rid of their old Doc2Help and MS Word grimoires. They wanted to have them in their Confluence, but, of course, didn't want to transcribe all the recipes once again. Since most of the books were saved in MS Office format, it was easy to…

Once upon a time, there was a Confluence holding pages with very very large tables with lots of columns and even more rows. People used the browser's search function to jump to the data they need, but they asked for something that would hide all rows except the ones they were searching for. The Admin thought about it and…

The admin is sure, you already noticed these little tags, you can (and should) add to your questions, discussions and articles here on our Community Platform. Music, at its essence, is what gives us memories. And the longer a song has existed in our lives, the more memories we have of it - Stevie Wonder This week's Friday Fun is exactly about this: music and memories. Let's talk about the soundtrack of your life. Are there albums or songs you associate a story with?…

Hey everyone, Well, it's hard to remember three things I wish I'd known on day 1 of my Community experience. Once upon a time, it was in 2011, Community was not, what it is today. It was just a platform for asking questions. Its name was "Atlassian Answers" and I used it mainly for getting answers to my own questions. But…

Due to the article size limit, older days have to be removed from the main article. Here is day 15: Song of the day is a special request by Jimmy: Hey Santa by Bowser & Blue - but be careful: this song is not suitable for work! Ho Ho Ho It’s December and you know what that means: the return of the Elf. I’m leading a withdrawn life since I had to leave my beloved fairyland almost two years ago. I’m still stuck here at the North Pole with all my brothers and sisters, craft toys, withstand Santa’s moods and listen to Mariah Carey's song (you know…

As usual, I had to remove older days from the main article. It's getting too large. But here they are again: Song of the day is requested by @Laura Holton _ACE Manchester_ : “Merry Christmas Everyone” by Shakin' Stevens A great song from 1985 - and since 2007 it is in the UK charts every year again. What's your favourite…

Hello everyone, today I will show you some Christmas bakery. I will bake "Hildabrötchen" or "Hildabrödle" as Thomas grandmother called them. Little Thomas liked them and the older one even more. You need some time for them, but they are not complicated, I think you'll manage to bake them. So, that's what you need: 300 g /…

Because of size restrictions for articles on the Community platform, I had to remove the first days of the Admin's Advent Calender 2017 Here they are again: Do you export your Confluence pages to pdf? And do you know that you can customize the look and feel of your exported content? This is the first part of the pdf export…

It's May. What would May be without a very special TV event, happening every year since 1956. And I remember, watching this since I was a child. I'm still watching the show every year. It's like Christmas, Halloween and Birthday, a highlight of every year. And it has something in common with all of these, the glitter, the…

Once upon a time... no, to be honest, regularly, the admin is asked how to hide content from curious people, from people that should not know anything or just from any people, hide from all, hide from a group, just show to a group, etc. The first answer to these questions is, that this is not exactly the meaning of…
