Hi @Mayuresh Kamble , As I've mentioned in a previous response, I haven't been using Confluence as excessively as I used to in a long time. Unfortunately I also do not have any experience with Cloud or the migration from Server to Cloud. If you included the User Macro directly on single pages, you're probably out of luck…

Hi Sidhartha, I'm afraid I haven't been using Confluence in over 2 years now. I remember that the KB Survey Plugin used to be open source, I believe it was an internal plugin of one of the Atlassian devs. At my old workplace we used to update a fork of the original code to support newer versions of Confluence. I may be…

Haha, thanks @Andy - PTC Redundant, I wouldn't call myself a master, though. I can play a straight note out of most I get my hands on (loving my nose flute), but I'm far from mastering a single one. My DooD is all black. I also have a jSax in black and green and I want a TooT. I don't like the new revision of the TooT,…

Hell yeah. I'm from a very (!) musical family. My mom and dad were founding members of very successful competitive choir Vokalensemble Hannover, my dad still sings with them. My sister plays the flute and had harp, piano and organ lessons. My dad plays the viola, piano and guitar. My mom plays the flugelhorn in a trombone…

I love your Agent P mug. Guess I'll have to go shopping. :D I do have my own special mugs for work, too: Sorry for the profanity...

I don't have pictures at hand, but my drawer is an interesting collection of coffee stuff. Fun fact: I never liked coffee. When I started at this place in 2015, I decided at some point, that I wanted to try and drink less soda at work and get my caffeeine kick somewhere else. Energy drinks weren't much better, and I still…

Have you tried just inserting the macro to a single page? If you set it up as described in the article, you should be able to find the makro in the makro browser by searching for "Feedback for Documentation". The correct rendering for the macro is "no macro body". Categories are only for the macro browser. The feedback…

Hi @[deleted] don't be sorry for just starting out on your amazing Confluence journey. :-) So, you configure the KB Survey macro in the space where you want to collect feedback. Click on 'Configure Space' and then look for the Knowledge Base Survey tab. Just write the additional questions down in the Add an Additional…

Hey @[deleted] Sorry, I can't confirm if it still works. We went ahead with a different approach of getting feedback. We are still using old, deprecated Atlassian plugins and they still work in Confluence Server 6.14. If you have a system for testing, go ahead and try for yourself. It's easier than it might seem from the…

Found this question on accident. Even though it is already over 2 years old, I'd still like to post an answer. I wrote a user macro to identify outgoing links in our documentation spaces. It works a treat for me, but having just re-scanned the code (also 2 years old) I noticed that it is not really optimized for large…

We used to have hamsters and bunnies. Currently we share a big scared baby Tinker mix and a megalomaniac Welsh pony with my sister in law. This was their first spring time leg stretch after the ground had finally thawed.

Mmmmh, sausage rolls. My ex girlfriend's mom used to make these. After I had some for the first time, she always had to do extra when I was coming. :-D

Yorkshire puddings are vastly underrated. I am German and although I only know them from an English cook book and never had authentic, they are the best. My daughter loves them, too, just like you, Karen. As long as there's Yorkshire puddings and gravy, she's happy.

I wrote this in the "what is unique in your home town" thread, but it can't be said often enough: Panzerotti. I'm from Hannover, Germany. If you ever happen to pass through and have some waiting time when switching trains, try to walk up or down the Niki-de-Saint-Phalle-Promenade below the station. There are a couple of…

You forgot the pasties. :-p

I grew up in a city that is (well... was) the only place in Germany where you could buy panzerotti. They're deep fried calzone pizzas. It took me a good 20 years or more to realize, that you won't get this culinary delicatesse anywhere else in the vicinity. Today, they are somewhat wider spread throughout Germany, but the…

I would like to answer my own question: I investigated the copy space plugin, because it does something similar to what I was trying to do, and that plugin calls saveContentEntity after making changes (like copying attachments or setting the original author). Calling saveContentEntity on the pageManager in my macro after…

Haha, @Meg Holbrook you picked the most boring of my first jobs. :p I guess visiting the aunt and uncle can be boring. Especially with a huge family like mine. So whenever we were visiting and I got bored, I went with my uncle to feed the trouts. He farmed salmon trouts. We would also catch a couple and feed them into the…
-
I had a couple of teenage jobs. I'll try to go chronologically: * Paper boy * Temp at my uncle's trout farm * Temp waiter in a restaurant (the first thing I'd call a job, although I had a contract, through my mom, as a paper boy) * More temp work at the trout farm * Temp at my uncle's trout market stand (Yeah, seems like a…

Lot's of them... let's see. * Jingles! You can trigger lots of jingles by just saying a single word. Works also for songs I have heard on the radio at least once. * Remembering stuff. Unfortunately, I have difficulties recalling anything useful (it's there, I know it), but I can tell you lots of totally useless facts. * I…

You're welcome. I just noticed that your question was not very recent. I didn't realize that last week. Funnily, one of my users just had the same question the other day. ;-)

Okay, so on Confluence Server you can do that like I suggested earlier, with the section and column macros. I'm not completely sure if those are available on Cloud, though. * Put the section macro under your Column 1a panel * Then put the Column 1b and 1c panels each in a column macro inside the section macro * Then put…

Do you mean like this: Or rather like this:
-
Or did you want to say you need one of the columns to be divided again at some point? You can do that with the section macro and two 50% column macros inside.
-
Hi Jennifer. Columns are independent of each other. They are not automatically filled to be the same height. If you need 2 of the panels side by side, you need to put each in their own column. Do you use the column macro or the page layout columns?
-
Hi Katherine, did you make sure that the person has at least read permissions on the parent pages? If the parent pages are hidden from them, they cannot edit a child page even if they have the permission to do so. Best Jens

Hi Michael, we sometimes have similar problems. I believe it happens after pasting text from other sources most of the time (Word, Excel, ...). What *may* help is discarding the changes and reverting to the last published version of a page. You can then redo the changes you made. If you have to paste from Word, try using…

Oh, it's c-l-i-c-k... The word broke so badly that I actually read the c and l as a single character. I was really confused as to what it was supposed to mean, but hey... it's a rant, right? ;-D

Nice article. I've had it opened on a tab for a couple of weeks now. Coincidentally, I am currently sitting in my car on the parking lot of a hospital where I dropped my wife off for an MRI, working remotely. :-D I am only working remotely every now and then, maybe once in two months. I get distracted easily, so I was…

There's 2 things I am not: * A morning person. * A breakfast person. I do eat between getting up and having lunch, so the second one might be arguable, depending on the definition of "breakfast". ;-) Recently I started bringing a peanut butter sandwich to work. I usually have one half with a cup of hand-brewed coffee…
