Hi @Gonchik Tsymzhitov - yes, the United States uses "type A" as shown in your photo and "type B" too. Read more on this website: https://www.worldstandards.eu/electricity/plugs-and-sockets/ (Specifically, https://www.worldstandards.eu/electricity/plugs-and-sockets/ab/) I'll add this to the "For Internationals Travelers"…

Thanks @JiraJared. Do you have a recommendation for a good portable battery? I'm currently testing the Thinium 3000 (http://thinium.com/rechargeMUsb.htm) but it has some pros and cons. Summit will be the true test. My number one spec is weight. This gram weenie doesn't want to carry a heavy backpack! :)

The verdict: not comfortable or practical. I removed my pins and threw the suspenders away in Barcelona. Not sure how you guys wear those things! See you at Summit 2019 to continue the flair challenge! https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Summit-articles/Summit-Flair-Challenge/ba-p/634246#U1030852

For Summit 2018, I attempted to make Atlassian Summit Suspenders to display my growing flair collection. https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Summit-articles/How-to-Make-Atlassian-Summit-Suspenders/ba-p/881070 The verdict: not comfortable or practical. I removed my pins and threw the suspenders away in Barcelona. Not sure…

It's great to see that this project is a success and there is so much online engagement! Just another testament to the great community fostered by Atlassian, partners, and customers. The very best part: Meeting someone in person after we've chatted on the Community site. Keep up the great work everyone!

Hi @travis, nice to see you in here. :) I would definitely recommend keeping the Engineering department in one project. In fact, you only really ever need an additional project when you need a different Permission strategy, Notification strategy, or can't agree on a common naming convention for Components and Versions. You…

Hi @Claudia.Funie You can create a filter that limits the results to issues related to a certain date range. For example: project = XYZ and created >= 2019-01-01 AND created <= 2019-03-31 Save that search result as a filter, create a dashboard for "issues in Q1", and use that filter there. Then, next year, just change…

Hi @Warren and @Gonchik Tsymzhitov, those are good questions. I'll ask Atlassian next time I get to chat with them. For the roadmap question, I know a lot of companies freeze their deployment schedule at the end of the year, so no one has to respond to emergencies during the holidays. I'm sure it's also possible they…

I'm honored to be associated with such a fabulous list of fellow Community members! Thanks @Bridget, the Atlassian Community team, and all the wonderful users who make this group so helpful, vibrant, and legitimately fun to be part of.

Hi @Rodel Inacay, can you tell us more about what you mean by the word "streams"? You'll want to make sure you're using Epics, parent issues (like Tasks, Stories, Bugs, etc), and child issues (like Sub-tasks) which include some of their own "roll-up" capabilities. For example, time logged in Sub-tasks is automatically…

Hi @aj, I don't think you can reach into the linked issue, to grab the status, with JQL. What you could do however, is modify your query to include the linked issues. So for the example above, your query would be: issue in linkedIssues(APPX-351) You can also specify the link type, if that's of interest: issue in…

Hi @Amir Katz (Outseer), I don't know but I'm interested in the solution! I only see the "Click to edit" option when I tried this in my Server 7.12.1 instance. Can you post a screenshot of what you're seeing? Next, can you make sure your custom select field is present on the "Edit" screen (not just the "Create" screen?) In…

Hi @Mel Brooker, Here are my instructions for creating a custom notification. The use case is a little different (notify QA that an issue is ready for testing) but you'll get the idea. Adding a custom notification is a three step process. In the example below, let’s add a custom notification called “Ready for Verification”…

Hi @Vinícius Cassol, I just wanted to confirm that I see what you're seeing as well. There's no URL field or Category field yet, for a Next-gen project. I'm sure it's on Atlassian's "To Do" list. I'd recommend following their public roadmap list of what they are working on. It's here:…

Hi @Vinu, for me it was two things: learning even more about Jira and preparing for the badge process to keep my cert active. I've written an article on both! See: * 9 Ways to Learn Jira Administration: https://www.jirastrategy.com/jira-certification/9-ways-to-learn-jira-administration * How to Extend Your Jira…

Hi @kumar jira, let me see if I understand. You're trying to see the parent issue's ID when querying for child issues, right? If so, that's part of the default view of the "Search" (filter results) page. In the screenshot example, the issues DEMO-12 and DEMO-11 are Sub-tasks of DEMO-10, as shown in the "Summary" field. I…

Glad you didn't get held up @Nic Brough -Adaptavist-! I've always wondered what happens if I mistype my name or forget to include or exclude my middle name when booking travel. I hope it never happens. See you soon in Barcelona! Here's another travel tip for those flying domestically in the US: Read up on the "Real ID…

The retrospective and final post in the "Boondocking with Jira and Confluence" series is here: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Off-topic-articles/Retrospective-Boondocking-with-Jira-and-Confluence/ba-p/854930#M76

Thanks @LarryBrock! We're north of you in Amarillo this week. Under my RV stairs right now is not a Commodore 64 but a big mud puddle from last night's storm. Texas and Florida sure know how to host a scary thunderstorm!

Hi @P_D_ Foerster - migrations are a great one for the list! Thanks for contributing! I find it hard to start talking to people too. I'd rather just hide in the corner and play on my phone. But I force myself to do it and like Nic said, the AUG environment is so welcoming and supportive! Have you considered starting one…

Hi @carolyn french, thanks for commenting! Yeah, I can't get the table to look the way I'd like it to. There are about 32 people and 28 RVs at the convergence. They are all seasoned boondockers so I'm trying to learn everything I can from them! The next post is up!…

Thanks for the encouragement @Paz! The next article in the series is up. In the recap of day 1 & 2, you'll see how I use Confluence to store our travel checklist. It is vital to the moving and travel process. Missing any item could put us, others, or our property in danger while rolling down the road. Read Next:…

Hi again connie.nomann@slcc.edu, you can initiate a support request from within your app. Visit: Admin > System > Troubleshooting and support tools. Then click the "Get Help" tab. You can also visit: support.atlassian.com to see the help options or https://support.atlassian.com/contact/ to raise an issue. You'll need your…

Hi connie.nomann@slcc.edu, Thanks for the additional details. What happens when you try this link? https://dsa-projects.atlassian.net/rest/collectors/1.0/template/form/cba667f8 It doesn't load anything for me, but it doesn't give the error either. If that's doesn't work, here's what I'd try next: 1. Create a brand new…

Hi @[deleted], I only know of two real ways to do it: with an application/add-on/plugin or by adding users directly to the database. Check out Bob Swift's "Jira Command Line Interface (CLI)" which lets you do lots of stuff via CSV. https://bobswift.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/JCLI/overview There are two other things to…
-
Hey @withonlyamap, Do you have a way to identify the issues you care about besides the issue key? I ask because a JQL query like: labels = johns-cool-thing is much nicer to write than a query like this: key in (ISSUE-1, ISSUE-2, ISSUE-3...all the way to...ISSUE-80). For the fastest loading, I'd recommend creating a filter…
-
Hi connie.nomann@slcc.edu, Here's the URL format I've always used: https://[Jira URL]/rest/collectors/1.0/template/form/[collector-ID] I just tested it on a Cloud instance and it worked for me. What happens when you try to visit the Issue Collector in Jira? The URL to the collector's setting page should be in the format:…

Oh, I didn't know we were talking about JSD emails. :) Thanks very much @Oliviu Nita for posting the solution!!

A physical Atlassian Community? Sounds like a cross between "Real World" (US TV series) and arcosanti.org, an architecture and ecology community (cult?), in Arizona. I'm in! We should invite @AyBee who knows how to build the structures we'll need.

Hi @Adrian Chrostowski, I don't know of a way to do this within Jira's settings, but what if you filtered the messages on the mail server side first? You could have your mail that is "fit for Jira" forwarded on to a different mailbox which Jira is then connected to. And of course, don't give this second address out to…
