Hi @Mary Stahly You can create consolidated burn down either using Excel (which is mostly manual as you mentioned) or you can try using eazyBI. Take a look at this page for a wonderful explanation. Ravi
-
..and I forgot to mention if you have ScriptRunner then you can use "Fast-track transition an issue [ScriptRunner]" on your last approval transition to move the issue to the next status.

Hi @harshit29dx If you always have 3 approval stages then create 3 user group fields for those 3 stages. Then add a condition using "user is in group picker" field. If you have ScriptRunner then you can add a custom script condition based on any field to check for approvers (like user picker field). What I also prefer…

Hi @Saurav Pant You can try using Components field if you want to limit these categories to n options. Components have advantage over custom fields because you can use Component lead to auto assign issues to them. This can be useful especially when you want to route the tickets to people. I hope it helps. Ravi

Hi @Utkarsh.Jaiswal If those issues are linked to each other then I believe you can use the branch rule with linked issue. You can then save the value in a variable which you can later reuse in the rule. Or try {{triggerIssue.customfield_10269}} to get the value. I am quite sure one of these method should work.

Hi @Stephen Elkington Kind of. What I normally do, I keep with me a csv of all the issues with relevant fields. I import this csv field get the set of issues that I need for my next project. Check this page for more details. You can generate this file by exporting the issues with the fields (columns) you need. To quickly…

Hi @Briana McKinnon You are on the right track. I suggest you look at these 2 pages. https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/installing-jira-applications-on-linux-from-archive-file-938846844.html https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/installing-jira-applications-938846823.html It seems like you might…

Hi @Gene LaMantia Try not using "For Most recently created issue". Ravi
-
@Charanjit Sandhu Yes indeed eazyBI is a great app and one of my personal favourite app to build custom reports. The links shared by @Fabian Lim will give you plenty of idea to build similar reports. I recently build a consolidated burn down chart across multiple boards and also roadmap (GANTTish) based on start and end…

Hi @Wenping Li How are you using the API? From Jira automation rules or a ScriptRunner or any other tool. For retrieving the information by making a REST call you will get a JSON that you need to parse to get the information you are looking for. If you are using ScriptRunner then take a look at this page for some…

Hi @[deleted] Were those past employees service desk agents? Are they no longer active? Try using the basic search in your Issue Navigator. You need to use reporter, assignee, resolution and/or status fields in your search criteria. Ravi

What I normally do is first check the type of comment using {{comment.internal}}, it will return true for internal comment and in those cases I don't use the add public comment checkbox. I use if else block for either adding internal or external comments.
-
Hi @Jeff St_Germain You should be able to do that using Automation on Jira Cloud using various Sprint related events but I just noticed that you are on server then you can either try Automation or ScriptRunner for Jira where you can create a script listener. Ravi
-
Hi @Mark Cogan I don't have a complete code to do exactly that but you can fetch all the attachments on an issue using the attachmentManager. def attachments = ComponentAccessor.attachmentManager.getAttachments(issue) So I guess first fetch all the issues in the scope may be using a JQL then for each of those issues use…

Hi @Urmo Luts Read all the exam topics on the official documentation and practice on a test Jira instance which you can signup for free or a trial of standard plan. Keen an eye on Atlassian Community posts to learn about Jira Cloud. Ravi
-
Hi @Azahara Camacho As @Kevin Johnson mentioned use the automation rule. Apart from paren-sub-task a similar automation rule can be built for linked issues. I made a video on this topic where I described how to create this rule. I hope it helps. Ravi
-
Hi @scott_boisvert You can use a screen with that field and use it as a transition screen on the approval transition and use a workflow validator (Script Validator if you have ScriptRunner) to check for the required field. I hope it helps. Ravi
-
Hi @Suporte Vitara Go to the workflow used in that issue type and for the close transition add a validator "Field Required Validator" and then select "Time Spent" field. Also make sure for the close transition there is a transition screen with the "Time Spent" field. Ravi
-
Hi @Vidhya Mohan If you have ScriptRunner then you can add a script condition on the transition. issue.projectObject.key=="PROJ" However I was curious why not create a different workflow? It will be less confusing for the users if they see all the unreachable transitions on the workflow diagram. Ravi
-
Hi @Malka Jackson [Isos Technology] You can use Automation to make a web request along with webhooks to integrate those instances. Ravi
-
Hi @Nagaraju Reddy Try this. {{issue.url.customer}} Ravi
-
Can you create company managed projects? That is the one you need.
-
Hi @Phillip C Yes I agree with you. Especially with SLAs there won't be much confusion due to different time zones as well. Ravi
-
Hi @Joseph Cohen When you clone an issue (by going to 3 dots menu on top right) you have further options to Clone sub-tasks, Clone links and Clone sprint value. When clone the issue and the sub-tasks statuses are reset to-do. Ravi
-
Hi @Romel This is not possible on cloud. One server (using ScriptRunner) you can achieve this using Behaviours but not on cloud, hopefully in future. Ravi
-
Hi @Katherine Stevens Yes, you can use Automation to update the Organization field using the reporters email. Ravi
-
Hi @John Pfotzer Are you trying to generate the report on custom field usage? There is a really good page from Atlassian that talks about not only finding the usage of the fields but also some best practices. You will find lot of SQL queries that you can run on your Jira database using native database tools. What I…
-
Hi @Inayat Nahvi I think it can be done. I haven't played with checkboxes using behaviours recently but if you look at this page you can use the script and try it yourself. Ravi
-
Hi @Lucas Romani de Araujo You can use native database client utilities for MySQL, Postgres or whatever database you are using. Also take a look at the database schema. You can also do that using ScriptRunner by either writing a Groovy script or using the Resources feature. I hope it helps. Ravi

Hi @ayesha Apart from using apps you can also look at using Confluence Jira macros (if you are using Confluence). You can create a page there with some of the familiar gadgets (not all though). It is not a solution to mail the reports to people but Confluence pages can be exported in PDF and I thought I will might share…
