Yes it will have configurations as well.

Hi @Albert Nkansah I guess you are using a board to manage those issues. Simply select them all and drag them to an Epic. Or go to your issue navigator (search), filter those issues, bulk modify them and edit their Epic Link field. I hope it helps. Ravi

Hi @Eric Mason I understand you, this is what I did couple of years back when I had to start (restart) using Jira Cloud after a while and I ended up creating my own materials, start from the last video. However problem is that Jira Cloud is changing rapidly so the interface might be different. Starting on Jira Cloud is…

Hi @Hansika Wijenayake Go to Setting | System | Backup manager (Under IMPORT AND EXPORT) Then you can create a backup for either cloud or server. I hope it helps. Ravi
-
Hi @AB Since you are on server and also have ScriptRunner for Jira you can definitely build this logic in your workflow's condition. I guess Party 1 or 2 is a group or you have mapped somewhere who is in Party 1 or Party 2. May be you can use Project roles here. If you need staged approval then you can use a hidden custom…
-
Hi @Tyler Stephens Configuring Jira schemes to use project roles instead of groups is preferable mainly because you can delegate "adding users to role" to project administrators. Groups can only be managed by admins. Ravi
-
Hi @Fawad Haq Why do you want to use Permission Scheme? For filtering? You can use this end point. /rest/api/3/project/search?expand=lead This will give you project name with their names. I have a script that will generate a csv file with project names along with leads. I explained how it works here. I hope it helps. Ravi

Hi @Soren Riis-Vestergaard Let me try to help. 1. Native feature in JSM, there is also a customer portal apart from email requests. 2. Native feature in JSM. 3. You can use Automation on Jira cloud or use an app like ScriptRunner for Jira (Cloud or Server) for doing that. I made a video showing how to parse the description…
-
Hi @April Lee Did you create the Jira instance or was it created by someone else? If you created the instance then you should have admin access and should be able to create new projects. Ravi
-
Hi @Carol Lee Vosteen There are few ways of doing that. Assuming that your projects are in the same Jira instance. * Use Jira issue linking feature to create a link from one issue to another. * Jira issue links won't do anything on its own, however using automation you can transfer information between linked issues. This…

That's a great script. My only concern was that it relies on Confluence page to exist with a specific table, which is can be tricky sometimes to control because people can edit the page easily. Thanks for sharing this, Jsoup is a great for parsing. Ravi
-
Hi @Bhupesh Nagda Well using Confluence page to store these key-value mapping is also not the best approach IMO. Since you have ScriptRunner, you can always access your Confluence page (using application link or REST API) and parse that table where you have that key-value mapping. Technically it is possible but relying on…

Hi @Albert Nkansah The attachment view on the issue can changed to list view so you can see more details of the attached files. However this is only for that issue not its subtasks. There might be a way to do it using a custom app though. I hope it helps. Ravi

Hi @Samuel Schmidt Jira doesn't have these features, however Jira can definitely be integrated with other popular HR tools which is what companies usually do. For example use Jira for * Onboarding employeed where a request is created in JSM * Based on action taken the employee's account can be created in AD * An asset can…

Hi @Jean-Pierre Perreault Since you have 6 components the most simple thing you can do is to create separate filters based on a JQL like "component = Admin" or "component = UI" and then use these filters in your reports. If you have an app like eazyBI then you can just create one dashboard with common filter on top for…

Hi @Rob Horan Thanks a lot saying that. Means a lot. I try my best to share whatever I could in my limited time.
-
Well Atlassian do have courses but you are right those courses are not free.
-
Hi @Zulfiqar Bin Zafar That is a really good objective. Just spending few minutes on the community daily has helped me tremendously over the period of time. If you monitor questions people are asking or answering here then you will surely learn a lot about Atlassian tools. Have fun :) Rvi

Hi @[deleted] Did you delete the project from the trash as well? Ravi
-
Hi @Ashok ashok Remove that field from the edit screen and only show that field on transition screen. Other possibility would be to use ScriptRunner behaviours (if you have that app). I hope it helps. Ravi
-
Hi @changjinsheng You need to pass the relevant transition id for that particular issue based on its current status. You can get the valid transitions using the same end point but GET method. I made a video exactly on this topic explaining how to get transitions and make a transition. I hope it helps. Ravi

Hi @Jeanne Higgins Advanced Roadmaps has an Auto-schedule feature that can plan the work based on various inputs. There are lot of such features in it, I made a free course to help people understand how to use Advanced Roadmaps with a real world example. Check if you plan is configured to use hours and make sure…

I have the exact same rule and it works. Are you sure your Scope and Projects are correct?
-
Hi @Melissa Pather Check the audit log, the rule should work but most likely the scope and condition of the rule is excluding the issues. I was just curious to know why you want to flag all the issues if they are added to active sprint? The Sprint burndown chart will show you this information or may be you want to filter…

Hi @Devendar Gangapuram Check if your Jira has taken some scheduled xml backups in the export directory. If you can find the xml then install fresh Jira 8.13 and restore the latest xml. Also it is worth checking the permissions on dbconfig.xml, check if the user running Jira has permissions to this file. Most importantly…
-
Hi @Leo Lu Did you create a custom REST Endpoint using ScriptRunner for Jira or were you using Jira's REST API to create an issue? For ScriptRunner's custom REST end point you have to remove the groups from your script to allow anonymous users to make a REST call. Ravi
-
Hi @khushboo_puri Yes that is correct. If there is a need to change configuration in one project then you can always create a copy of that specific configuration. For example if a separate workflow is needed for one issue type then you can create a new workflow and use a new workflow scheme to attach it to the project. I…
-
Hi @Thomas Wohlwend This is a common request. Proper way to handle this scenario is to create a linked issue for development team. Incident -> linked to -> bug Now good thing about issue links in Jira is that you can use automation to transfer the information from bug to incident. For instance when a comment is added on…
-
Hi @Alessio Conti Just create a task with a due date, then create a filter to not show issues where due date is not equal to today and finally use that filter in a gadget. It is the simplest approach. You can also do bit of automation to transition issues/tasks based on due date using automation rules as well. Ravi
-
Hi @SWAPNIL SRIVASTAV Move feature has been there in Jira for cases when issue was created in wrong project. What you are trying to achieve can potentially be done using ScriptRunner for Jira but it might be too much work. Ravi
