Hi @Hai Ha It really depends on what you are trying to achieve. Advanced Roadmaps is good to plan across different levels, scheduling across multiple projects and track the overall progress in your plan in one live view. You also have scenarios to play with the plan. If your projects are already using SCRUM then Advanced…

Hi @Max Benek There is no separate screen for creating a linked issue. Just modify the screens used in the target project. If fields are there in the screen but not visible to the users then may be the user has chosen to show only field field. This can be modified by the user while creating an issue. Ravi

Hi @Sudheer Kumar No, it cannot be done with a scripted field. Usual way would be to copy/display the previous value to that field. BTW if this field is modified more than once then do you just want to track the last one? What is your use case with this field? Is it some milestone that you want to track to calculate…

Hi @Kofi Adu-Amankwah There are few possibilities. You can create these tasks automatically and assign it to others, however it will be difficult to enforce the order of these tasks. The other option could be to define a workflow for your use case. Then create tasks using automation when the main issue is moved from one…

I explained this here in this video.

Hi @Vasilis Angelakis It is a common question. Dependencies are not really enforced in Jira automatically. So even if you link issue-1 to issue-2 using blocks link type, it is just a type of link. You can use this information in a roadmap or create some reports out of it. If you use Advanced Roadmaps then there is an…

Hi @Sandeep Kumar Global Admin or Jira Administrators may not have access to the project (check the project permissions), however they can also add themselves. So I guess you have to trust them. Usually adding/removing people means adding/removing people from the project roles but there is not automation rule trigger for…

Hi @Julie Fuller It is possible. You just need to spend some time on Jira terminology - Projects, Issues, Issue Type, Workflow (Status, Transitions, Conditions), Automation and bit of reporting. - You can create a project automatically. - You can also create tasks and their sub-tasks automatically based on a transition. -…

Thanks for the update. This is indeed exciting.

Hi @Louise Overmars It is a common question. You can add an If/Else condition in your rule and check if the issue was created earlier. To check that it could be based on something like a specific summary. If in that issue there is already subtasks with that summary then don't create further issues. You can use the Matching…

Hi @Anne Dixon Time tracking report and Sprint report can give you this information but if you want to build a customised report then you will either have to do this outside Jira or use an app like eazyBI. If you have a custom field on issues then it can also be imported in eazyBI. Ravi

Hi @Frederike Häusel_resolution_ JPD is quite new and just came out of beta. I also looking for use cases and valid reasons to use it. May be someone from Atlassian can share some use cases around it. Ravi
-
Well you can create a project in Jira (if you have rights) or ask your system admin. Series of project and project milestones - need a bit more context on this but may be you need one project with multiple Epics.
-
Hi @David Harkins I did this (and a bit more) few months ago for a client. Have you checked the following? import com.atlassian.servicedesk.api.organization.OrganizationService import com.atlassian.servicedesk.api.organization.OrganizationsQuery I cannot share the entire code (because someone paid me for it) :) but let me…

Hi @Stephanie Barlow I don't think this is available on the on-prem version but since you are on DC, you have more customisations and reporting options. Insight on Jira Cloud or any report you want to create comes from the stored data. Are you looking for a specific report? Ravi
-
Hi @Esther Dede Lawer There is no term or feature like workstream in Jira. What is a workstream for you? Is it a Value Stream? or team or pod or projects? How are these workstream going to work with each other? Are these working on a common feature? There could be different ways to do that in Jira - it could be one project…
-
Hi @David Pleşu Instead of using headless browser to take a screenshot why not using Jira REST API, pull the data, dump it somewhere and build your own report? I would just use Google App Script or Excel VBA to pull the data from Jira and build a report. Other options include using something like Power BI. Jira reports are…
-
Hi @Asaf Yosovich What you need to do is to create two transitions one with and other without a transition screen. And then use a workflow condition to show/allow one of these transitions based on a custom field value. I hope it helps, Ravi
-
Hi @Ivan Torres-Candelaria This has been asked by others as well but currently this is not possible. The hierarchies are define globally across the instance. Ravi
-
Hi @Maria Peter Chrisalagose What is your definition of quality here? Default dashboards can help you show a count on a timeline. I believe there are fields for environment, value and external bugs. You can create different filters and use them in your dashboard but native reporting in Jira is basic. My recommendation…

It is not even possible to evaluate Analytics unless you are on an Enterprise plan :(

Hi @faizajannat028 You have perform a move operation on the issues. You will then be able to modify project and/or issue type. For Epic you will have to provide Epic Name as well. Ravi
-
Hi @Ronja Rothenberger Let me try to help. * Make sure the field is added in the screen associated with the issue type. To simple create a list of issues with your preferred fields you can always create a filter for yourself and save it/share it. * Jira search/filter or lists will not perform any calculations for you. Some…

Hi @Giada Marras Add yourself as the watcher and ensure that in the notification scheme watchers are notified. Ravi
-
Hi @Kelli Archer Epics can also appear without these dates. In fact when you start planning the epics will not have dates and you can use Advanced Roadmap to create a schedule and commit changes to your epics. I hope it helps. Ravi

Hi @Duy Nguyen How your customers raising these tickets? I assume you are using JSM. You can integrate your portal with a knowledge base, so your customers while raising ticket get suggestions based on the kb articles and hopefully self serve themselves. Ravi
-
Hi @MarcSch Creating a linked issue for a Change is absolutely fine. You can create this link using automation as part of a transition. Linked issues are bidirectional so updates can be seen by respective users/teams and you can also selectively pass the comments from a Change or Dev task to JSM. Ravi
-
Hi @AjayShankar AN Are your defects linked to the stories? Ravi
-
Hi @Somsubhra Banerjee What is a 3D Jira model? There are plenty of options for doing advanced reporting in Jira using apps. I personally prefer using eazyBI which will let you create dynamic reports but not real time. You can also look at using Power BI or similar tools to do reporting outside Jira. Ravi

Hi @Martina Bassi On your Reopen transition add a transition screen and add the field you want to capture. Make it mandatory if needed using Workflow Validator. Ravi
