Hi @Gnanabaskar Move is the best option, in fact that is what move is supposed to do. Why do you think it is not working well for you? Ravi

Good to know.

Hi @Piyal Nanayakkara What is the hierarchy of your Advanced Roadmaps. Also those other issue types like Initiative and Capability, are they from another project? In that case you can add that project to your plan source. Ravi
-
Hi @Ben Weisman That is what workflow schemes do. You can create these schemes and associate issue type > workflows. Ravi
-
Hi @Eswar Vandanapu You can just link the issue as usual and then setup an automation rule to create comments on the linked issues. Apart from comment you can also transition the issue if you want to automate further. You mainly need to create an automation rule with branch: For Linked issues (of a specific type) You can…

Hi @Eya BEN OTHMEN Good question. Validators are used to check whether information is filled in by the user during the transition. It could be something like "Analysis field should be filled in before resolving the issue". Post functions can also be used to update custom fields after the transition has happened. When doing…

Hi @Jyoti Sahu Well you can always convert xls to csv easily but if it not convenient to do the conversion then you also use issue navigator. Just create a filter to list the issue of that project, make sure time tracking fields like original estimate, time spent are in the columns and use the export feature there to…

Hi @Amardeep Banga The queues in JSM are based on JQL which can be based on any field in Jira. In your case you can use workflow to define the lifecycle of the incident. For instance if you move the issue from one state to another then you can also create a queue based on that status. For instance when you escalate the…

Apps are installed within Jira. It would be good if you check with your Jira Administrator about it. The other thing you can do is export data in csv and report in Excel.

Hi @Nitin S I understand what you are trying to do, filters will give you the list of issues based on the query and when you use that query the gadget won't exclude labels. You would need to use an app for this. Take a look at eazyBI, you can create variety of reports like this and select only specific labels. Ravi

Hi @James Perry Learning path depends on what you are trying to achieve. When you say super user, are you trying to become Jira Admin or Consultant or just want to become really good with using Jira/Confluence and may be some common apps. The best way to learn is to sign up for a free Jira Cloud instance and play with it.…

Hi @Administrator I would recommend raising a ticket for Atlassian support to help you with this issue. Ravi

Hi @da You can link two epics together using Blocks issue link type. and it will show up on the roadmap but as you probably guessed it already the standard roadmap is a bit limited and won't let you plan at the story/task level. You would need Advanced Roadmaps for that or other roadmapping apps. I hope it helps. Ravi

Hi @Matthew Hutchinson Try one thing. Go to this url: JIRAURL/secure/admin/NotificationHelperAdmin.jspa or System | Notification helper (under ADMIN HELPER). Enter you username, issue key, select event and check if you are supposed to get emails. Simple fix could be to add yourself to the notification scheme. Ravi
-
Hi @Neil Stokes You would need to use an app like eazyBI or Custom Charts for Jira or an external BI tool like PowerBI. Share an example of a report that you want to build. Ravi
-
Hi @Pascal Bosshard Well I would say take a look at Tempo. It has plenty of features. You can evaluate the app to see if it meets your needs. Ravi
-
Hi @Naveen kumar Can you please share the screenshot of what button you want to modify. Transition buttons on Jira screen are nothing but transitions which you can modify. To change text of submit button take a look at this page. I hope it helps. Ravi
-
Hi @Abdelmoghny Mohamed You can create either Jira Business or Jira Software based project for your teams to use. Ask your Jira Administrator to do that for you if you don't have right. Make sure your team has permission to create issue in that project. Also train them little bit on how to create issue of a specific type…

Hi @John Diaz Using ScriptRunner Behaviours will let you do that easily. Take a look at this script. Ravi

Hi @[deleted] If you are not using an app then try using two dimensional filter statistic and use Sprint and Components (which I guess what you are using for technology). It will give you a table showing count. I hope it helps. Ravi
-
Hi @Muhammad Fayyaz Quick Filters are the links that you get on top of your board to filter the visible issues. Try changing the Filter query by going to your board settings. I hope it helps. Ravi
-
Hi @Ramya Jayaram Seems like your application or network is not able to reach Jira. Ravi

Hi @[deleted] What is the resolution of those Epics? Ravi
-
Hi @Praveen Kundavaram Do you have a cloud instance of Jira? If yes then you need to install Zephyr app in your instance. Ravi

Hi @Charu Singhal Assignment date is available in the issue history but filtering issue based on assignment date is a bit tricky. Try this JQL. assignee changed ON '2022/02/07' TO 12345:sdfsdf99w79wee7r-werwerwewe Where last part is the account id, which you can find my just doing assignee=... and use the username from the…

Hi @Marco Brundel I am biased towards ScriptRunner (for good reason) because you can write custom scripts not only in workflows but other places as well like listeners. It opens up lots of possibilities and you can implement variety of use cases to cover lot of automations and customisations. The only things is that you…

Hi @Louis Andrews I believe using switch case will be convenient, readable and a bit more manageable in future. Take a look here on how to use it in Groovy. Did you search here on the community, there are plenty of examples. Ravi
-
Hi @[deleted] I don't think issue will be created using this method. What is your use case? It seems like you want to create an issue from an external system, the best way would be to do it using Jira REST API. Ravi
-
Hi @Vaishali Pareek Can you please elaborate your use case? What is in the Excel sheet? Since you are on cloud my recommendation would be to use Jira REST API. You can create a VBA macro to update data from Excel to your Jira Cloud. Ravi

Hi @Brittany Clark This is interesting and common thing that people want to do. Let me try to answer your question. Is there a way to have a set time to complete a task in Jira? For example, if we know that to complete a specific, repeatable task it takes 5 days can you set Jira up so when that particular task is part of a…
