Great tool. Thanks for chiming in @Peter Van de Voorde.

It is very unpredictable. However my current setup works with one Jira DC node. I run into other issues when using multiple nodes. Currently I am using volumes instead of mapping directories. And Jira version 9.4.2 which is LTS I guess.
-
Thanks. I would definitely like to fix this.
-
This works. I have also tried to pass `user: jira` in `docker-compose.yml` service definition. But that didn't work. This should ideally be fixed in the docker image. The entry-point script that is creating those folders should fix the ownership.
-
Initially, I have no directories. So directories are created by `docker compose up`. I don't know why the directories are created with root ownership. Even if I pass `user: confluence`, the host directories are still owned by `root`. Another point, if I use named volumes then it works fine. but I want to use host…

Wow. That was an amazing flashback. Thanks for sharing.

I am just guessing here... One possible solution to this issue could be to try editing the macro from the parent page. Since the child pages are using the macro embedded in the template, any changes you make to the macro on the parent page should be reflected in all of the child pages that use that template. If this does…

Thank you for providing more details. Based on your clarification, I understand that you want to change the visibility of the "Part 1" form from "external" to "internal" after the "Part 2" form is attached to the request. To achieve this, you can create an automation rule that triggers when the "Part 2" form is attached to…

Yes, it is possible to show and hide forms in Jira Service Management using automations. You can use automation rules to trigger actions based on certain conditions, such as the submission of a form. To achieve what you're looking for, you could create an automation rule that triggers when the first form is submitted. The…

You can try the following options: Reset the project permissions: As a Jira administrator, you can try to reset the project permissions for the affected projects. This will remove any custom permissions and restore the default project roles and permissions. To reset the project permissions, go to the project settings page,…

To do this, you'll need to create a custom data source that retrieves the data from your Google Sheet and returns it to the form. That you are already doing. Here are the steps you can follow to extract the values from a custom data source: * In Jira Service Management, navigate to the "Forms" section and click "Create new…

I don't have personal preferences or biases, but I can provide you with some information on the best PlantUML Diagram add-ons for Confluence and their differences. * PlantUML Diagram for Confluence: This is a popular add-on for creating various types of diagrams, including UML diagrams, flowcharts, network diagrams, and…

More or less what @Oday Rafeh has already suggested... Yes, it is possible to obtain metrics on Jira labels that include the time elapsed between when a label was added to a ticket and when the ticket was resolved or closed. You can use Jira's built-in reporting and filtering features to generate such metrics. Here are the…

In Jira Server/Data Center, removing a project category without assigning a new one is not directly possible through the REST API, unlike in Jira Cloud. This is because in Jira Server/Data Center, project categories are required for projects and cannot be null.

I see, my apologies for misunderstanding. In that case, to hide inline comments for the specific user group, you can try adding custom CSS to the page. You can do this by going to the page and clicking on the "..." button in the top right corner, then selecting "Edit" > "Edit in HTML". Once you're in the HTML editor, you…

To prevent a certain user group from creating, editing, replying, or liking comments in Confluence while still allowing them to view comments, you can use ScriptRunner for Confluence. Yes, it is possible to create a PDF template with the information you mentioned in Confluence Cloud, Data Center, and Server. To achieve this, you can create a custom PDF export template using the built-in Confluence PDF Layout Editor. Here are the steps to create the template: * Go to Confluence Administration and…

When an agent hovers over to a reporter or assignee name in Jira, they can see basic information about the user, such as their name, avatar, and email address. This information is visible to all users by default, and it can help agents quickly identify who is involved in an issue. The specific information that is visible…

In Jira, the ability to view a user's profile summary depends on the user's permission settings and the permission settings of the user who is trying to view the profile summary. By default, any Jira user can view their own profile summary, which includes their user details, activity stream, and recent issues. However, to…

@Ben This worked. Thanks a lot. I created a non-admin group and assigned that with write permission on prefixed patterns. And this worked.
-
Nope. Just tried to assign "Administrator" to "*" pattern. And this is still overriding the permission settings for other patterns.
-
Thanks. I've added my vote and also added a comment.
-
Yes. That is correct. The group is not visible in the drop-down but as I type, it starts to appear as completion suggestion. Looks like a bug.
-
What I did was something similar. But team members could not push to bugfix and feature branches using my settings. My settings were:
-
May be that I was not clear. Rephrasing. Only "Administrator" should be able to create branches without prefixes like - "feature/", "bugfix/", "hotfix/". Other people should be allowed branches with the mentioned prefixes. How can I configure this?
-
Yes @Dave LIAO , I used to post on dev community but not many people go there. It is better to post here and tag it for developers. And thanks a lot for reading and giving me feedback. It really helps.
-
@ChuckieAJthat's another feature request. ;-)
-
I just tried to simulate it. And I acknowledge that error is reproducible at my end as well. This is happening because Jira is intercepting the request and trying to display the preview itself. But it doesn't know how to do it. The browser knows how to display it but the request is not reaching the browser event loop. No…
