Migrating any Atlassian product is easy. I would suggest that you move your Atlassian Jira Service Management to Access first. Just follow the guidelines here - https://confluence.atlassian.com/cloud/determine-your-user-migration-strategy-991930388.html Once you migrate your Atlassian JSM to Access, start with your own…

XSL is nothing but an XML file. If your browser is not displaying the content then probably your browser doesn't know how to display it. But generally, the browsers can display XML content. Let us try to debug why you can't view XSL. When you click on the link to the file, it sends a request to the portal and the response…

Without having an account would be difficult. But certainly you may use some kind of SSO mechanism to map the users (customers+employees) from your service management portal to the users on your site. For SSO, you may look for something like Atlassian Access. The steps would be: * Migrate your sites user to Atlassian…

What are other ApplicationKey values available. From the example I got, "jira-software", "jira-servicedesk". And I guess there would be "jira-core". I searched through the docs and API docs but it isn't documented anywhere.

Great! I will be waiting for more articles.

@Mario CarabelliI am not sure if I am allowed to post our App here. But because you have asked, here it is - https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/30899/rmsis-requirements-management-for-jira?hosting=datacenter&tab=overview

In case of 'paid-via-vendor' App, it is decided by the App vendor. In case of 'paid-via-atlassian' the decision is with Atlassian. One of our App is 'paid-via-vendor' and the number of users of our App can be separately configured. In this case it doesn't matter if the user has upgraded or downgraded Jira license. For the…

In my previous company I used to maintain a plugin. Technical writers used to use all sorts of tools. Writing text with pictures created with gliphy or using an external tool. For tables we had purchased a plugin at that time. Our plugin would then generated a PDF and HTML bundle. That was then shipped with the product…

I'll definitely put it here if I come across any.

As far as I know there is no direct way to view GitHub issues in Jira. Probably one of the Apps might be of use. Just check them out - https://marketplace.atlassian.com/search?query=github. Otherwise if you want to do it yourself then you can do it using the wonderful APIs provided by GitHub and Jira.…

There is a REST API to do this. If you have all the content ready then you can simply upload it using this API, you can fully automate this. For detailed information on the API go to,…

Wow! what a great idea. Here is mine - https://www.linkedin.com/in/pankaj-jangid/ I am sending connection requests to all. Please accept. :-)

I have tried a couple of options but none of them are working right now. I have tried to look into HTML5 w3 standards also. But found that any character is now supported in anchors. HTML4 had issues. So it should actually work. I'll explore more. This is an interesting problem.
-
I am afraid you will have to make some changes in the target page as well for this. In the target page you will have to create anchor where to you to point your link to. Normally the headings work as anchors but because of special characters you will have to create anchors manually. Here is how to do it: Add the Anchor…

While you can do this by writing a small shell utility script i.e. to pull from two remotes. But if you are collaborating on a project then I will recommend using a time-tested workflow for git. Bitbucket has listed a couple of them in the tutorials, but the most impressive workflow as per me is Gitflow. Do check it out…
-
Yes. In that case and message on the top of your repository would do. In fact that looks like the only option.
-
Best is to send an email to all the repository members. Good thing is that Bitbucket provides a feature that you may utilize to accomplish this task. However, a little work is required from your end also – do explore the Webhooks feature. Go to Settings and the Webhooks. And create a Webhook for repo:transfer trigger. What…

As you've already got the acceptable answer, let me just clarify what I intended to say. If the users are used to getting notifications via email then the best way to send notifications is via emails only. As per me, in your case, the best way is to use send-email functionality.
-
There cannot be a fixed answer to this. All three approaches are effective, as per my understanding. In an organization, a unified experience is what one should aim for. You might be using other tools in your organization. How do you send notifications from those tools? How the accounts department sends notifications? How…

There could be two types of integration possible. * An App that installs Appilcation-Insights instrumentation code into the Confluence Server. This code push metrics to the remote portal where you can view the insights. * An App that enables viewing insights about a web-application into the Confluence Server. Which kind of…

I have searched and viewed a couple of plugins in detail. But none of them actually tells anything about user activity. Most of the stats plugins are actually talking about content statistics.
-
Thanks for letting me know this in advance.

Thanks for this response. Dual licensing is something I am unaware of. Is this a direct feature on Atlassian Marketplace or we will have to list the product twice to do that? PS: I'll search this. But an answer here would help the community as well. Hence asking.
-
Actually I was looking it from feedback point of view. Any way thanks for point me to right direction. I'll try that if I were to create JIRA issue. Thanks.
-
There is a requirements management plugin for JIRA - RMsis. This tool includes test case management as well. https://plugins.atlassian.com/plugins/com.optimizory.rmsis.plugin.jira-rmsis

Thanks a lot.

I have confluence confluence and jira installed on same server; but different tomcat instances. I am using war versions of both the products. * Jira asks for credentials repeatedly but confluence is working fine. * The problem occurs in Firefox only; I am using FF 19.0. In chrome it is working fine.

Did you try manual synchronization? Here -> "Confluence Admin > Security > User Directories".
-
User can log in into confluence implies that user accounts are synchronized. And the error "You are not permitted to perform this operation" appears when the user doesn't have permission to use (read/write) any space of confluence. Make sure the user belong to right group or has proper permission in "Confluence Admin >…
