People can always tell when I do that. Quality of work goes up.

There is a reason there is a brick on top of the tank cover. I was fortunate. I was nearby when I heard the crash of said cover hitting the floor pre-brick.

I worked remotely for 6 yrs solid in previous life and sporadically in this one when I needed to get some serious concentration in. This is my environment: It's all fed by a VLAN'd and gatewayed Unifi network with dual ISPs. A nice comfy place to work. Of those that might help, it could be any of these (seen here behind a…

ok... the NEXT thing to look at is your JSD project request security. That will be in the project admin -> Customer Permissions. The thing to look for is the inbound request from a given human to the group email address that Jira is trying to read to create a ticket has enough permissions to do it. For example, if you are…
-
Oh crap <head slap>, I suspect the group email is the problem. Try to do it with a generic single human email (even without the password) and see if that works.
-
Cool! If this seems to have solved it, tick the "Accept Answer" thingy and that (I think) helps this float up in searches when others run up against this same type of thing.
-
Ok... once you've done that, there should be a check connection button. Try that and see what it gets annoyed about. I suspect what you're facing is that I think Jira expects it has to pass a password and is trying even though one is not there. As such, you may well need to set one.

I have to agree on the whole Kopi Luwak assessment. EVERY time The Boss and I go to Vietnam, we stock up as it is common there and quite inexpensive (relatively speaking). HOWEVER, if you want a great South East Asian type coffee that is strong and dark yet not bitter in the least with wonderful nutty aroma and overtones,…

Nope... Project is the actual project with tickets in it. Project type is the classification you might set against a project. As such, you want "Project". To get a nice view of fields you want to look at, after you have your list of tickets, in the upper right is a toggle to switch between detail and list view. Change to…
-
A note... the stuff between <> needs to be specific to your environment if you used them directly... And yes, those ones were NOT filtering based on users; purely on the tickets in the system. To get the humans involved, it would need to be things like "creator = <userrname>" or "assignee in (<user1>,<user2>,...)" I…

Hi @Guy_Michielsens , If you are looking for something equivalent to the Horizontal Rule in word processing packages, there is, in fact the equivalent to it as "Add Horizontal Rule" under the "+" menu in the editor. The keyboard shortcut for that is "----" (4 dashes then hit enter) If you would like to make them look a…

Hello @Jonathan Do Question: What element is asking for the password? Google or Jira? Once I know that I might be able to point you the right direction....

Hi there @Santiago Pinzon and welcome! This is an EASY one to answer and I can give you far MORE than 10 thoughts. A little while ago the Atlassian Community Leaders were pointed to a discussion (which I can't currently find) BUT I can find a link to a guide that was distilled out of that. It's very good and contains a few…
-
Hello @Tiffany.Obradovich , Yes... that is actually quite easy. I'll start with dropping in a link to an Atlassian Blog about advanced JQL (Jira Query Language) to first find the issues. Then, so I don't leave you completely in the cold, here are a handful of examples you can start with in pseudo code. * project = <project…

Ah... ok... that is a bit more clarity. So, with nothing to compare to (as yet), rest assured that there is rather fine-grained permissions that can be set. One thing you can do to automate this a bit is to add a post function on whatever your "Start Progress" transition is to "Assign to Current User". That way they can…

Hi @Merve Nur Bas , I can't speak, to Bitbucket as I have never run one of those BUT it is largely the same for Confluence. The only delta is that it is a different cache blast for Confluence. In the Confluence case: <confluence-home>/bundled-plugins <confluence-home>/plugins-cache <confluence-home>/plugins-osgi-cache…
-
Hi @Aric Lister , Yes, that is completely doable. The permissions in JSD work the same as Jira Core/Software. The only extension is that you can add JSD type permissions AND you can only assign to a person holding a service desk agent license. Other than that, functionally it is identical to the rest of the environment.
-
Hi @Mike Kennedy This sounds like, (at least to my tiny mind) that you'd like a rather general service desk portal but have your agents triage and categorize as stuff comes in. Not a bad idea. So, what you want to do is actually pretty simple: Any request type you put on your portal that is NOT in a request type group is…

Turns out there is.... who knew? Australian Curling Federation

Regarding the placement of stones; consider that every sheet of ice you step on behaves differently. Even the same sheet but at a different time may behave differently. So the first couple of shots might not be good until you have the feel for the sheet.

Hi @Casey Daniell Short answer to #1 is no. The longer answer is #2 and what I ended up doing was an analysis of all the plugins I use to find what did and didn't work on Cloud with an investigation of moving from Server to Cloud. I might suggest just starting with your base set of Swiss Army Knife tools you put on all…
-
@Pedro Zabala , Nope... you understand it correctly and it is a PITA. I run into this on a regular basis. You actually just spurred me to start rooting around on the Marketplace to see if there is an app that helps this. I find this very thing to be time consuming when someone embedded in a LOT of things (project lead on…

Actually, I am not all that surprised @Tinker Fadoua . While it is more prevalent in colder climes, it's just not as popular in the US as it is, for example, in Canada where every one horse town has at least a 2 sheet curling rink.
-
I grew up where curling was a high school phys ed and community activity (Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada) and went on to skip several rinks. It's an enjoyable sport and one of the few you can play at an olympic level while standing on the ice with a beer and a smoke. I have since escaped Moose Jaw and live in Southern…

Hi @[deleted] , The short answer is "yes" but the longer answer is "it's complicated" (not to do but the effects of it all). For a given project, if you go to the project settings and then to "Notifications", you can see a notification for "Issue Assigned". You can change that to anything you want, INCLUDING not sending…
-
Hi @jreyno_sandia_gov , Short answer is a resounding YES. I have worked in a shop that was that way and Atlassian does always make a way of doing that. Since you tagged this as Fisheye/Crucible, I am dropping the link for that but... if you go HERE, you can download either the 64 bit zip file (Linux) or the Windoze install…

Hi @Shane Trumbull , You pose an interesting question and there really isn't a wrong way to do it. Both ways you suggest are viable but to fully implement the role based visibility of your first suggestion, you could get part of the way there with factory supplied functionality but might have to buy a plugin like Queues…

One could simplify the billionaire bit by taking the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy approach where one has the "Galacticard that keeps on working even though you never send in the payments". Then one can spend money without having to WORRY about money.
