You can grab all the checklists in one call by using something like this: https://api.trello.com/1/lists/:idList/cards?fields=id&checklists=all&checklist_fields=name,id Check out the nested resource documentation for the query params that might be useful. Make sure you only include the fields you actually need, that'll…

Adding "is:open" to the search will only show you the open cards. Inversely, "is:archived" will only show you archived cards. There's a full search reference if you click the "Learn more" button in the bottom right of the search box.
-
Trello's detecting this as a link and tries to hyperlink it. You can get the formatting you want by doing: [s3://my-bucket/**incoming/**](s3://my-bucket/incoming/) This will make the link explicit (instead of implicit).

No, closed boards won't be deleted automatically at any time. Keep in mind that on a free team, you can have 10 boards open at a time though, so you may have to close a board in order to be able to re-open another.
-
Are there really 2 sets of quotes in the command? If so, you should remove one set, Butler automatically adds the quotes around the "to" field. So your command should read: send an email notification to "{{%Email}}" with subject "Test mail" and message "Please call me at +xxx" ""{{%Email}}"" -> "{{%Email}}"
-
No, it doesn't expire.
-
Invite those certain people to your team, and make the board team visible, and disable the "Allow team members to edit and join" setting on the board (I think it's enabled by default). Everyone on the team will be able to view the board, but only the members you invite to the board will be able to edit it.

Strange. I couldn't find any errors with the original rule execution. Do let us know if you ever see this again - the way your rule is built should work (and I've tested a similar rule, and it's working for me). As you described, "commits are instantaneous" so each Butler action will produce a "commit" to Trello.
-
Hmm let me investigate on our side. Note that the emails from Butler come from "{username}-noreply@trellobutler.com" - so in your case "petersing3-noreply@trellobutler.com" - just in case you need to do some allow-listing for emails.
-
Can you post the command, and show us an example? Are other card members getting the email?
-
Yeah, you probably have a conflict there. You need to tell Butler to run the "To Do Today -> Backlog" rule before the "Copy 'name of card' -> To Do Today". Otherwise Butler will just copy the card to "To Do Today", and then move it promptly in the Backlog. Set up one rule to run at 1AM and the other to run a 2AM, that…

Hey @Maxime Michon I just tested these characters with Trello's board export (in JSON and CSV format) and the team export, and in both cases the characters are correctly encoded in the resulting files for me. Maybe it's a problem with whatever you are using to view the exported data?
-
@Iain Dooleynice! That's super smart, thanks for sharing. I may steal that rule and update my board 😄
-
I wrote this article about how I use Butler to keep track of tasks for Home maintenance: Using Trello + Butler to track home maintenance tasks Reading this thread, I see that @Davin Studer beat me to it and we've solved the same problem in slightly different ways 😅

No, there isn't. But if it bothers you enough, you could work around it using custom fields and Butler. The easiest would be to just have Butler remove the due date when you complete it. A rule like: when the due date is marked as complete in a card, remove the due date from the card would do that. If you want to preserve…
-
You could create a Butler rule to fill in the data you want for the new cards.
-
You could use Butler, like @Iain Dooley said. Other option would be to tell your assistant to watch the list with their account. You can't control what other Trello users are watching, so they'd need to watch it themselves.
-
If you set up rules, calendar commands, or due date commands, they will always draw from your (the creator's) quota, even if they are being triggered by another user. Board and card buttons draw from the quota of the user triggering the command. If you (the rule creator) are out of quota, your rules will stop running for…

Thanks, I just assigned it to myself. Will follow up on the support ticket from now on.

Board and Card button actions will be shown as created by the member who clicked the button. Rules, Due date, and Scheduled commands will always show up as being created by the member who created the rule. There's currently no way to make the actions appear as being created by the member who triggered the command.
-
You could set up a Butler rule to do this. Check out https://help.trello.com/article/1198-an-intro-to-butler
-
Hey @Alison Curryer That doesn't sound good! Could you create a support ticket at trello.com/contact (click on "Ask Trello Support"), so we can investigate this? I'll keep an eye out for your ticket - going through the non-public support system just means we can get more information about your account, and I can see what's…
-
This isn't possible. Your Trello and Atlassian account are one and the same, you can not delete one without also deleting the other. Why do you need to remove your Trello access?
-
Use "{username}" (literally that, don't replace it with the username, Butler will do this for you when it runs the rule). Butler will replace "{username}" with the username of the Trello member who triggered the rule.
-
Currently, no. Butler doesn't support the advanced checklist features (due dates and assignee on check items) yet.
-
Hey @Malvina Pauchard Yes, this is possible, using Butler's Variables . You'll want to create a rule like: when a card is moved into list "In dev" by anyone, add member @{username} to the card

Board and card buttons draw from the quota of the user triggering the command. So if you are out of quota, your rules will stop working for everyone. You…

Hey @Carol Rose How are you navigating to Trello? A link in an email? (If so, telling us which email client you're using would be helpful!) Or just going to trello.com via the Chrome address bar? Thanks, Felix

You can see the command log by clicking the "lightbulb" icon. Does that provide any hints as to what's going on? Has the command run? You can also force run the command right away with the "rocket" icon.
