  • Hi @Stephen Toop from the outside (Atlassian Community) with no direct access to your installation it is not that easy to pinpoint - one suggestion I have for you would be to monitor closely the log (atlassian-jira.log) to see if anything suspicious in regards to what the user observes is logged. Please find detailed…
  • For us the favourite currently is the issue collector functionality - sometimes forgotten, this little precious form builder can help teams gather feedback from external sources, like a web page! https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/use-the-issue-collector/
  • Hi @andrea price could you please tell us a bit more about your setup and can you confirm which steps for upgrading from the linked documentation you are following? * Upgrading Jira applications https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver0821/upgrading-jira-applications-1115657709.html Regards, Daniel
  • An interesting finding in regards to this I made is that a plenty of new co-workers never met in person (they started during of right-after the pandemic). They have not been able to be in touch, yet, on a personal level. Otherwise (in all of the previous years) they would have been able to establish some connection through…
  • While taking breaks and drinking enough water seems to me being an important advise, that alone does not do much for me. I found that a bunch of ideas, incoming help-requests and escalations need to be prioritized, put on hold or just delegated to a specialists - what really helped me is the article in Atlassian blog: *…
  • Perfect initiative and a very important topic. Keeping a healthy balance is so important and important also for companies as measured by the amount of co-workers suffering from mental issues due to an overload of work during the last years and similar encounters.
  • A good point to start could be the documentation for Jira Sever (aimed to developers) which you can find here: https://docs.atlassian.com/software/jira/docs/api/8.22.6/ Please also find the start page which could be of further help: https://developer.atlassian.com/server/ Please note that there are finally some Apps which…
  • In case you have a valid subscription it make sense to check that directly with Tempo support. I fear that after some time passed a proper solution would be found from Atlassian Community anymore.
  • Especially the part plugin.7239865635525481314.confirmation.aspx suggests the App download did not succeed correctly or the file is corrupted during download. At least it is not a familiar pattern how downloaded apps look like. Please try to check with the vendor of the App to make sure everything is correct.
  • Please also review https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRASERVER-62838 where you can see the progress of a version 2 implementation for Log4j within Atlassian products. As of today, version 2 is not available but a special patched version of Log4j is used with Jira, for example.

  • In an on-premise environment you are able to do any integration you are capable of realizing and that are in accordance with out company's security policy (if applicable). For any specific integration approach please also make sure you review the documentation the integration partner (in that case Greenlight Guru, if I am…
  • Apps for Data Center must pass a specialized additional check to prove they provide the reliability Atlassian defined for them, please make sure you also review the information given here: https://www.atlassian.com/enterprise/data-center/apps-and-extensibility
  • Many useful information have already been given here, as soon as you had a look into database to see that all the data you asked for is stored there it might be an important step to think about the data is backed-up. Please do not forget to refer to the article stated below:…
  • It comes without problems to run Jira (Data Center) without Internet Connection, as for the App (upgrades). It *could* be an annoyance when you rely on Application links which are not able to reach the destination, though. For error messages that state they cannot reach Marketplace, they can be turned off. So, I think…
  • Hi @erika I found some idea in this thread: * Create CSAT Report for different rating level https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Service-Management/Create-CSAT-Report-for-different-rating-level/qaq-p/1283104 Maybe you want to use that combined with a filter subscription so you stay informed about very poor or poor…
  • Hi @Kenny Kwon and @Jan Denny I fear this has been answered with "won't do" as of a Suggestion back then with Atlassian. Could you both kindly confirm this is what you are facing? * Results should clearly identify sprint status when filtering for opened sprints where an issue is also associated to closed sprints…
  • The message suggests you need to use "Enhanced Search" in that case - this is special to Jira Cloud: https://docs.adaptavist.com/sr4jc/latest/features/scriptrunner-jql-keywords-functions/scriptrunner-enhanced-search-jql-queries Going there is should be perfectly possible to write the JQL queries you are interested in.
  • For the error shown above I'd recommend to take a look into log files assuming it is a Confluence server (not cloud) because it differs from the initial effect the user observed. If it does not help I would further suggest to open a new post here in Community.
  • Hi @Amir Katz (Outseer) thanks for the great article - we use it meanwhile regularly. While I totally agree for the part of the contexts... Note that in most cases, the context count (CC) is 1 and it actually means that it's the 'global' context (meaning that the CF can be used in any project, any issue type). * That does…
  • Reading the error message I would think this is a permission-related problem for the directory the installation should go into. Have you checked if the user which is used by the bamboo-installer is able to write to that directory properly?
  • One idea would be that the issue in question resides in a different project where the executing user does not have the "Schedule Issues" permission.
  • A change back to old view, by design decisions, is unlikely to happen. I dare to doubt in 8.13.13 there was the old view, most likely this was a caching issue in browser. Indeed, also for version 8.13.14 (and coming ones) the improved (despite some project administrators now do not seem to like it) view is/will be valid.
  • @Shanmuka without using Webhooks you would have to have a look into Marketplace offerings or external cloud solutions which promise a sync between Jira and Service Now. A first idea could give this link to Marketplace: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/search?query=service%20now
  • Is my assumption right, that with copying the comment, she is not copying the screenshot, but only its reference? There is a trick, please check if it works for you. 1.) Go to the "source issue". 2.) Right-click the attachment, choose "copy link address" (or similar named) 3.) In the destination issue add a comment and…
  • Hi @yogesh_devi no - there was a Suggestion with Atlassian - but it was closed some time ago: * Bitbucket Pipelines for Bitbucket Server https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/BSERV-9245 The recommendation of Atlassian to use in an on-premise setup is Bamboo. Regards, Daniel
  • Hiding it from portal keeps it available for selection in Jira Service Management, that is true - I have just checked it. You are right when you say deleting it would affect filters. I was not able to find any option to disable a Request Type in a way it would become unavailable to users, same time not visible in Jira…
  • I would not worry too much about the deprecation label. In case it will be removed there will be likely a endpoint which will act as an successor. To date it would not be known to me the endpoint goes away by short notice.
  • From last experience it is very true that an authentication problem can cause the message even if the field is present on the screen. Also, like added to the last comment here, missing permissions (even when authentication is fine) can lead to the error message which can be a bit confusing, yes. There is a bug open with…
  • For a first diagnosis I would go with "Permission Helper" from "Admin Helpers" - just to rule out the account in question is lacking permissions: https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/jira-admin-helper-938847791.html
