I gave a talk last year about how we can leverage both confluence and Jira for better management of our projects and there are some interesting real-life use-cases which I have shared in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7-5NojGjJCE

Atlassian SDK is for server platform, for cloud platform it's Atlassian connect. https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/jira/platform/integrating-with-jira-cloud/

Hello @Smita If you are using REST API to update the field, then you need to field on the edit screen while updating and create screen while creating issue. Since Jira doesn't have field level permission hence this is an open ticket for jira cloud, wherein you can hide the field for specific groups/roles…
-
Hello @Nath You can add the code in the script and refer that file/script in the conditions section of all transitions.

Hello @Kurt Callebaut Currently this is an open ticket Ability to manage permissions in next-gen projects https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSWCLOUD-17159
-
This is for custom field value cfValues['Some Custom Field'] != 'Some Value' If the custom field is not the value "some value" only then the user be allowed to see transition button otherwise user will not see the transition button if the value of the field is "some value"
-
Hello @Nath If you don't want the user to see the transition button, then just add the script in the condition section. And that's it. Use "Simple scripted condition" option in the script runner's conditions options.
-
What I suggest to you, is to have a custom field only on the view screen and give the ability to the user to update it via transition screen or have some login in place to update the field via transition post-function.
-
Hello @Smita What you want is not possible "OOTB JIRA Cloud " Also, why do you want the custom field to be available on the create/edit screen and still not being editable? Isn't it just going to confuse the user? What you want can be somewhat achieved using scripted field which are not fully supported yet on cloud. Please…

Hello @Ognyan Jira for project tracking and project management, and it's not a great tool for content/document management. That why, people use Confluence for content/document management, both Jira and confluence are so nicely integrated hence you can have the jira ticket linked to the confluence page having the required…

Hello @Cesar Bistron This is the complete overview of the Jira permission schemes https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirasoftwareserver0713/permissions-overview-965543151.html You have project admin permissions and the next level is Jira admin permissions. You will need Jira admin permission to delete screens or to do…

Hello @Brandon Little Rank is locked internal field which Jira manages by it's own when you drag and drop the issues on the board. Thus, the position of the ticket on the backlog is a signification of it's Rank. But you can still add the "Rank" field on the issue view screen of ticket by configuring that in the board but…

The above query returns all sub-tasks which have parent - OK-3 and which are not done. I think this is the best you can do on cloud out of the box, if you want more complex things then you will need a plugin.
-
Hello @Gil on Cloud you can use something like parent is not empty and parent = OK-3 Here OK-3 is the parent issue and thus it returns all the sub-tasks as JQL doesn't just return the status but the issue. Hence if you want to see "not done" issues you can change the query to parent is not empty and parent = OK-3 and…

If you feel my answer has helped, then please accept/upvote so that other users are also helped.
-
Hello @markbutterfield You don't need to use initializer, instead as I mentioned before please have separate mapping for both fields and that should do the trick. If it works, and you feel my answer has helped you then please accept/upvote the answer. thanks.

-
Hello @Adam Clark I don't think you can do it using the default JQL functions, but using plugins it's possible to write such JQL. If you have the paid plugin script runner then it's quite easy to get the results issueFunction in parentsOf("assignee = currentUser()") and sprint = x and assignee != currentUser() The above…

Hello @priyanka By default you can't have the velocity chart of the scrum board which shows historical velocity to be available on the dashboard. You can use plugins like this - https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1215768/agile-velocity-chart-gadget?hosting=server&tab=overview Or reporting plugins like eazyBi or…
-
Hello @Rajesh Ramankutty I have implemented something similar to your use-case using Script runner plugin and some custom scripting. There are paid plugins available for your scenario like "Backbone" And "Exalate" as mention by @Dave Bosman _Inetum_ in his answer. But generally it's bit of an overhead to have two different…
-
Well I am always for "skills over certifications". But yes certifications do help in getting your CV shortlisted and more visibility in the community. I have been doing Atlassian related stuff for almost 10 years now and I personally feel that even though number of Atlassian experts has increased exponentially in the…

Hello @[deleted] I am not sure exactly what you mean by "create link from a JIra issue to Confluence list item"? Are you trying to link jira issue to a confluence task? You can link a complete confluence page with Jira and if you mention an jira issue in a confluence page then on the jira issue you see "confluence page"…
-
Hello @Buchari Muslim On your space home-page, you can add the macro called "Recent activity" which will list all the activity of all the users across that space and hence will give you a clear view of the changes being done by your users across the space.
-
Hello @sarika Ch You need admin rights on the Jira instance to install the apps/plugins. Once the relevant apps are installed only then you can see their option in the top right corner. You have to install add-ons from the UPM interface…

Hello @markbutterfield If there is a behaviour mapped to the second field then in that behaviour if you use the code getFieldByName("My Custom Field") Then you should be able to get the value of the of field with value coming from convertToSingleSelect . Hence I feel for the first field you should have one behaviour…

project = ALPHA and ! (key in ("ALPHA-729") or "Epic Link" = ALPHA-729) Try this query, it will get all issues but epic 729 will be ignored and all stories which have epic-link 729 will be ignored as well.
-
Hello @Kirsten Achtelstetter Could you please elaborate as to what you expect on the second board, do you expect all the epics on the 2nd board because if the epics are not there then you can't use swimlanes by epic. Hence you would need epics in the search results but you can't use the epic link field as that will not…
-
Hello @Kirsten Achtelstetter The problem is in the query project = ALPHA and "Epic Link" != ALPHA-729 Epic-Link exists only on stories/tasks and not on epics so automatically you have excluded all the epics. Try the query project = ALPHA and key not in ("ALPHA-729")

Hello @Thilo Brause The issueType description is global and thus same across all projects. Currently, it's not possible possible to modify them. Feel free to raise a improvement ticket for the same.
