By looking at one of the stack traces there, we can see a possible issue related to SSL in Confluence: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target It seems that after inserting…

Just to implement, you can convert this into a date through a third-party page: http://www.onlineconversion.com/unix_time.htm Kind Regards

Hi Yusuf, From past cases, the issue was that we had added the gliffy file with the name of the parameter not found (in your case "T20287..." to the wiki page, so while we deleted the file, we didn't delete the link to the file (so it was throwing the error that it couldn't find the file). Can you check if editing your…

Hi Will, This could be a tricky one. To start checking about it, have you confirmed if this is happening in other pages and also different browsers? The way that the CSS is being rendered could be related to how the browser is retrieving such information. Also, do you have any specific CSS customisation that would affect…

I'm not sure if I understand your toughs, Mike, but, since Confluence 4.x was launched you can insert attachments on comments on a page via Add Comment > Insert > Attachment > Post. You will get a url to get access (download) to the attachment. Hope it helps you! Kind Regards

You might want to choose one of the options for a Call center: https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/confluence-use-cases-283641068.html However, if you want to implement it for specific purposes, can you let us know a bit more on how you want ot use it? Cheers, Giu

Hello, You won't be able to import an XML backup from a 3.2 instance to a 4.* since they are not from the same major versions. The way to go would be upgrading your old 3.2 instance to match the new one (4.2.7) and then proceed on exporting/importing the space XML backup.Hope that makes sense.

https://developer.atlassian.com/confdev/development-resources/confluence-architecture Perhaps this one? Just found this question in Google, while looking for Confluence structure diagrams.

Hi Riaz, I'm afraid that we currently don't have it implemented in Confluence, but, we are already working on that. You can ask some questions and look for suggestions through the following report, which I also suggest you to vote and share your thoughts through comments: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-30812…

It's recommended to use the 1.8 version, according to our supported platforms, sir.

Heya Stephen, Before opening a new case with support, this seems to be the situation described in this bug report: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-31026 Basically,it's related to the Storage format for the macros and links from JIRA, which have changed with the modification of the instance. For example:…

Hi Ahmet, Would you mind to clarify the request with an example of your current JIRA configuration? I'm sure that this will help us. Regards, Giuliano Confluence/Crowd Support

Heya Shreyance, Generally Confluence crashes could be related to many symptoms. In our case, it could be related to external plugins, customisations, content ocnsuming too much CPU or memory errors in the instance, which we may need to increase. So, to first start taking a look at this, without the logs, you might been…

Hao, The Statistics tab and information is retrieved from a module of the add-on. To disable this tab to appear, you can go to Confluence Admin (cog icon) > Manage Add-ons and search for the Questions add-on, through the User Installed Add-ons tab. There, click on the Confluence Questions tab and search for the 227 of 227…

Hey Alexander, For the "given credential..." issue, can you confirm if the JIRa user is from an external directory? It could be related to the permissions being retrieved by the system. For the "Spring Aplication.." issue, you can take a look at this KB article that will have the information based on the permissions to…

Hello there, I'm not sure if is it is the same problem, but, we have a Feature Request talking about table column's width in export to pdf. Could you please take a look at the Feature Request? https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-11825 Cheers

Just as Nic suggested, for Confluence you need to start with the 'confluence' (or any dedicated user for the instance directories), but, also remember to remove the <confluence home>/plugins-osgi-cache/felix before attempting to restart with a new user, so we can avoid any mismatching of permissions in the instance. Some…

Hey Akbar, Bein honest, Crowd will give you better SSO experience and will be able to also manage the users. However, in this case we can see that you're using LDAP to authenticate, which should not be related to the Crowd usage. Only if you use Crowd too, so the authentication would pass through both applications. Can you…

It might be worth to check also the possibilities related to credentials and also the configuration of the directories, such as described in this KB article: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRAKB/JIRA+is+Unable+to+Connect+to+Crowd+due+to+Application+failed+to+authenticate Hope it helps you, Patrick! Regards,…

Hey Steve, As Confluenc eis not loading and retrieving the data from the older instances, it could be caused by Confluence not being able to connect to the database: the credentials set in your confluence.cfg.xml file are not valid. Another possibility would be that the database password had expired, and would need to be…

In addition to the suggestions above, you need to have in mind the following files, that are responsible for modifications of content in the login screen: * login.vm (inside the <Confluence Install/confluence> folder) * login.vmd (inside the <Confluence Install/confluence/decorators) These are the main responsible for such…

Hey Chris, As this is affecting only a few pages (specific ones), may I know if you are using any third-party add-on/macro there? For example, check if it will happen with a new one or try to remove the content (copying it all before deleting) of the page and see if it will save the changes. Sometimes, it can also happen…

Hi Jeremy, Not sure if it would help you, but, you can find some codes in this doc, you can find some options on how to disable the download for specific attachments or for the whole space. Cheers, Giu

Heya Kristin, As the App navigator is related to the App links usage, after modifying the main page to be accessed, have you tried to recreate the App links? This could do the trick. Otherwise, can you clarify if the Media Sales Home page is from a Confluence instance as the DaddyNet one? if having two instances linked by…

Hayley, As the Remote API is enabled, we could be having issues related to the connection/configuration of the Application Links with your Confluence instance and JIRA. With that in mind, can you take a look at the atlassian-jira.log and see if the stack trace is still related to the API usage? If so, we might need to…

Hi Ralph, That would be a good request. As we don't have it implemented yet, we were working through an improvement request (https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-37712), but, to be more specific, we have created a new Feature Request based on this question: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-37926 I suggest you to…

Just like you, I don't have any idea why "Freedom is not Anarchy" have posted the answer. However, let's proceed with our conversation: 1) About the Hyperlink. From my thoughts, it's a good idea, since you just have to click on the link and select "remove link", but, it's only my opinion, I know that it could be better for…
