Hi @Darya Koyfman This could be implemented using a scripted validator on your workflow transition. Where the check is done on both the checkbox and the field to ensure that both or neither are filled in.

The first step is to find who the owner of the filter is. As an application administrator go to <yourhost>/secure/admin/filters/ViewSharedFilters.jspa and find the filter you can then change the owner of the filter to someone who can then update to meet your requirements. If required you can then allocate it back to the…

You are correct that JIRA uses a shared field "Ranking" to keep a track of all rankings irrespective of which board they are present on. To change this you need to define a new custom field for your project rank and then amend the board filter to use this field rather than the global "Ranking" field.
-
I would try not to split the project in two as it will make reporting on a single client more complex. You can always base a Scrum (or Kanban) board off a filter rather than a whole project and that then means you retain the full project context but can work on whichever parts you need to in an Agile approach. The spilt…
-
Many of the principles are unchanged and indeed V7 really just automates a lot of what can already be done in the earlier version.
-
JIRA is configurable in such a way that it will support the purist Waterfall or Agile approaches, but in reality most organisations use a hybrid of Waterfall and Agile. JIRA as of V7 comes with a number of useful project templates that will provide you with out of the box configurations that match different methodologies.…

Hi Mamoru, Your question seems to imply that you are not restricting access to your portals to users with credentials. If you refer to https://confluence.atlassian.com/servicedeskcloud/configuring-the-customer-portal-732528918.html and the section on managing access to your portal you will see that there are other options…

Hi folks, Be aware that you can define any issue types at the same level of story, task, etc (standard) and similarly at sub-task level. These you can give any name that is appropriate to your business context. Unless you put some effort in with your create transition and the use of extended functions you are reliant on…

Hi Pushkant As you have found when your teams work within the same sprint the velocity and of each team is mixed together. If the two teams are not sharing the estimation approach and therefore the same story points are not allocated to work of a different level this becomes messy. I would approach this by having the…

I can certainly still see the facility to add attachments on JIRA Cloud. Here are the details of my version image2016-1-5 9:19:20.png If your version is similar then you should still have the permission to add attachments. I would check to make sure that the permission scheme in use on your projects still has the correct…
-
Hi @Bhavan Mahal It is not possible to show a Kanban board to a client as to access the board they would need browse project permission which immediately gives them the ability to read the detail of the ticket. An alternative is to use the integration with Confluence and provide a version of the Kanban board on a…

The permission that the user needs to have in order to change the ranking is "scheduling permission".

You can use any of the templates already defined within your instance or follow the instructions at https://confluence.atlassian.com/jira/customizing-email-content-185729653.html to amend/create new versions.

Hi Belinda, You need to set a post-function in your workflow for when each transition occurs to trigger an event that sends the appropriate email. You should review the Knowledgebase article…

Hi Jim Apologies for missing your reply to my earlier comment. I wonder how you got on and whether Team B has now disbanded? Phill
-
Jim, So from this information when team 2 is disbanded the following will happen. Overall velocity will reduce (due to less team members) Velocity of Team A will increase. Therefore you would expect the calculated end date to be falsely reported immediately after the disbanding of team B, as it will still report based on…
-
The only other thing I can think of to consider is the impact of when backlog 2 is completed and what does Team B then do? Do they get redeployed on other projects or swap to dealing with issues from Backlog 1? Depending on your answer t this will impact what happens to your sprint velocity and therefore your predictions…
-
Hi Jim, So if you are willing to accept that Backlog 2 will be covered very quickly, then you could just look at the information for Backlog 1 and treat that as your project backlog. Certainly having a 3rd board would allow you to see some progress reports but would lead to potential conflicts between the sprints on each…
-
Hi Jim, I would set up two Agile boards based on the following filters. project = <key> AND (team is empty or team = "Team A") project = <key> AND (team is empty or team = "Team B") Using this both teams see the shared backlog of issues not yet allocated to a team and all items allocated to their team. A refinement is to…

The most manageable approach that I know of for this is as follows. * Look at the roles for each project and check that you have everyone covered in the image2015-12-5 11:45:28.png This example shows that all users are in the role for this project. Amend this to match the group for your individual project. 2. If you are…

@Thanos Batagiannis [Adaptavist] can you help here? Have you got an example script that you could share with @mel vega
-
You could action this with a script as a post-function action if the changes are only going to be made during transitions. But if it could be altered using the edit functionality you do indeed need to use a listener. One option for you is to use ScriptRunner and you may want to review the documentation…

Please refer to here and check the JIRA version that you are using. https://translations.atlassian.com/dashboard/dashboard?lang=pt_pt or https://translations.atlassian.com/dashboard/dashboard?lang=pt_br for the Brazilian Portugese

Hi @Lea Sauer You would not normally see the anchor on the display when you save the page but if you inspect the page source you should see that it is present. I have an example here where an anchor is on the heading Tangible Benefits in the document entitled ROI. <span class="html-tag"><h3 <span…

Here is a link to a few suggested approaches. http://superuser.com/questions/112095/automatically-do-capture-screen-daily-on-a-website.You can also achieve this with curl and command line instructions but that would be very dependent on your system that is going to do the automated process!RegardsPhill

Hi Jayshree I assume you are referring to a dashboard gadget. If so you will need to look at an external tool that can access a webpage - convert that into a email and then send to your recipients. The other possibility is if you want the results of a filter you could look at setting up a subscription to a saved filter but…

Hi Helen Congratulations on setting your screen up that is often the hardest part - working out what to include/exclude. (You may like to watch the Atlassian University training on fields and screens. https://university.atlassian.com/uac/2.0/courses/administrator/jira/v62/fields-and-screens/field-configurations) So your…

Whilst this page refers directly to the current cloud offering the principles apply for all versions of JIRA. https://confluence.atlassian.com/cloud/add-ons-and-plugins-744721612.html As previously stated on other questions v3.12 is no longer actively supported and you should be looking to move to a more recent version to…

@Emily Loew I would suggest start simple and then build in complexity as you need it. Subtasks may well be the way address your requirements along with the different views for different people.
-
An alternative approach to is to use subtasks to represent the tasks undertaken by each department. So the story remains as the complete activity and then the (sub)tasks are undertaken by each department. You can then look at the subtasks assigned to each department by the use of quickfilters/swimlanes without losing the…
