Well there is one piece of functionality you may not be aware of from Atlassian Labs which allows you to run sprints in parallel. https://confluence.atlassian.com/agile/jira-agile-resources/jira-agile-faq/how-do-i-have-multiple-or-parallel-sprints-running-at-the-same-time Although be aware of its downside impact on…

Yes you can import links to other JIRA issues with a CSV. See https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRAKB/How+to+Import+Issue+Links+from+a+CSV+File for more instructions and test in your development environment first.

Firstly the fact you are hosting in Cloud restricts your options on how you can add plugins to extend workflow actions. If you were hosting behind the firewall one approach (and there are plenty of other approaches). This is just a framework and you could of course adjust and adapt as appropriate. As you want each approval…

Have you looked at the inbuilt function "clone and link"? This sounds like it would do what you want. This was a recent release so check the version you are on against 7.1.0 released to cloud on 7 February.…
-
Further to the comment from @Steven Behnke He is correct that the values you are retrieving are all integers hence why when you do the calculation it returns an integer. I believe although I am not an expert in the formats for Misc Custom Fields syntax that the syntax you should be using is <!-- @@Formula: double val =…

If you always wish to assign to the same person you can add a post-function on the create transition in the workflow to allocate the issue to whoever you wish.
-
Hi Todd Parson In line with all JIRA versions the approach is the project key followed by a sequential number. For example. ABC-15 would be the fifteenth item created in the project with key ABC.
-
To flesh out the answer from Jeremy a little more when an issue is created the following post-function events occur. * Creates the issue originally. * Re-index an issue to keep indexes in sync with the database. * Fire a Issue Created event that can be processed by the listeners. If you create a hidden user field that is…
-
The easiest approach is to clone the initial issue for each occurrence and edit the details for each user. In this way you will automatically get links to the original issue as well. You can enhance this through the use of Bob Swifts Clone Plus which would allow you to update the impacted user on creation of the new issue.

I assume you are using either JIRA software 7.X or JIRA Agile for earlier versions. One way of seeing your flow is to use the ranking field that the backlog uses for managing which items are considered higher priority. So adding ORDER BY rank should show you the priority flow. If you want to use some other order then you…

Hi Christian, It would be good to hear from your experience of implementing and whether you needed to adjust any settings. If you could accept my answer as well it will help others who ask similar questions to find the response. Thanks for the feedback

Hi Christian Majewski The first thing to say is that there are so many different configurations out there that a single one-size fits all approach is never going to work. Atlassian provide the guidance on sizing at https://confluence.atlassian.com/enterprise/jira-sizing-guide-461504623.html but you should also consider the…
-
Hi Michelle, The script engine runs in the server and does not readily communicate with the users browser making it more complex to have windows/pop-ups open. However, if the information is already captured in the main issue you could populate this directly in the sub-task. Similarly you are restricted to a single level of…
-
The following suggestion may be inappropriate to your organisation but if you were to allow the support technicians to pick the next priority ticket rather than assign you would be able to focus on establishing the priority of tickets at all times and always making sure that the next ticket was picked up by the next…

@Kevin Bushman Here is an example of two routes between statuses which are available for different conditions. image2017-3-16 12:31:19.png Here I have two different transitions to Done from In Progress one which would offer the resolutions associated with the work being completed and the second which would be used for a…
-
Hi Kevin Bushman You can achieve what you want very easily with the standard JIRA workflow functionality. No need to write groovy script or anything. The key aspect you need to know is the property on resolution during a transition. Full details of the available properties are…
-
Further to the response from Prakhar Srivastav you can share a permission scheme across all projects by defining a project role of client. Then each project lead can allocate clients on a project by project basis.

If you want to see bottlenecks in your process (ie when issues get stuck in a particular status for extended periods of time) you should look at the Cumulative Flow Diagram to see what is happening.…

HI Aaron, Another option is the SpaceAuditor plugin which provides you with a lot of information about how your site is being used. See https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.vertuna.confluence.plugins.spaceauditor/server/overview

To answer your question about translations and when will they be ready you can look and assist in the translation process by visiting https://translations.atlassian.com/dashboard/translate?lang=de_DE#/287/12179/All Groups/ALL/ this shows you the current status of translations for any combination of…
-
Hi @Dmitriy All translations are provided at https://tranlsations.atlassian.com for JIRA Service Desk you need to look at https://translations.atlassian.com/dashboard/download?lang=ru_RU#/Service Desk 2.x/2.5.9 This will then allow you to select your version. You can also submit suggestions for better translations on this…

Are you importing your classes in advance of this section of script? If not this could be the cause of your error. Eg import com.atlassian.jira.component.ComponentAccessor

If you change the way of thinking about what you are trying to do. So instead of adding an attachment to a comment but think of it as adding a comment when you make an attachment you will find that this functionality is already present. When you add the attachment JIRA provides you with the opportunity to add a comment.

Check out the Balsamiq plugin for wireframing available for both JIRA and Confluence. Alternatively you can use Gliffy for some wireframing. HipChat pricing is described here - https://www.hipchat.com/pricing

This was finally resolved in 7.1.6 Server

This is now showing as fixed in version 7.1.5

Hi Karl, I assume you are creating a CSV file from Excel which you are then using in the JIRA import Manager. Create a column that contains the epic reference number and then map this field to the Epic Link field. I hope this helps. Phill

The first thing to check is that they are looking at the same board as you an that the board is shared. If you look at the board URL it will show something similar to this .../secure/RapidBoard.jspa?rapidView=7... this refers to board number 7. If the co-workers are indeed seeing board 7 then for the swimlanes you need to…

Further to the reply from @Nic Brough [Adaptavist] there are lots of reports and other actions built around the story points and these would not function if you used a shirt-size approach. In particular you may consider the scope size for a sprint, the epic/release burndown report...
