Hi Karoline Brugger You may be interested in this open suggestion with Atlassian on Clone permission that has been around since 2005. https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-8497 As a requirement it has not yet received many votes and so will not be highly featured on the list of desired functionality for Atlassian. There is…

Hi Krisan You need to either select an identical layout for your table to match the number of columns/rows being copied across or not copy into any table in which case Confluence will then create the table for you to the right size.
-
If you do inline editing then only the single field is updated with the changes made by the last person to save. If you open the issue for editing and make multple changes then this is saved as a single change and will overwrite any other changes that have been made.

You could display on a wallboard a filter result showing all employees and the issues assigned to them along with due dates. But you would need to consider how best to order this list.

My approach would be to create this structure (without content) in a suitable space (possibly even my own personal space). I would configure it with any content that is standard across all usages. This may include such things as the children macro on the top page. Then I would use the treecopy plugin to generate a copy of…

So if I understand you correctly your use case is to copy the structure of the pages but not the content of such pages? Does the navigational structure vary that you wish to copy? Or is it more like a template that you apply repeatedly?
-
If your use case is to copy a tree of pages from the current page you may like to look at this plugin. https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.nurago.confluence.plugins.treecopy

In addition to the "Edit permission" you also need to have "Set Issue Security" permission. As well as manual edit you could set a field value as part of a workflow transition, or as listener event that fires a script.

Check your permission settings to make sure you have administration rights for your JIRA instance as the first step. Then check that the new project lead has permissions to administer/browse the new project based on the permission scheme that is applied when you create. If you are receiving an error message then please…

Sorry it is bad news.

Hi Michele Your licence is for a single instance and if you wanted to split this way you would need to purchase a licence for the second instance.

If you wish to exclude any items that are already allocated to a sprint add the following condition to your SQL AND sprint is EMPTY so this becomes project in (xx, xx, xx) AND issuetype in (Bug, Epic, Story, Task) AND status = Open AND assignee in (membersOf(jira-users)) AND sprint is EMPTY ORDER BY Rank DESC Alternatively…

You can achieve this by the following method. * Create a filter which shows all the issues from all the boards you wish to have on your common backlog. * Share this filter with whoever is appropriate * Create a new board based on the filter you created. * Configure the board as appropriate. You will now have a common…

An easy approach is to create a dashboard on which you can display the equivalent entries as are on your agile board. This has no requirement for any additional functionality although you are limited to three columns but these could match "To do" "In Progress" and "Done". If this is not sufficient then you can always use…

Hi Craig, At some point someone will have to manage your list to cater for new arrivals, changes of role and departures. So you could be considering how best to handle this. You presumably have a user management process in place? A few approaches will work. * Define the list of users in the filter query - means the owner…

Hi Bala Please raise your request with support.atlassian.com so that they can quickly assist you. This forum is for end users who may have come across your problem but would not necessarily have full access to the resources to resolve.

This question appears to duplicate the other two questions that you have raised. I suggest you either rephrase the question or review the answers already provided.

Hi John Not being able to attend a course does mean that you are exposed to a lot of different approaches. Some good and some not so good. Here in the UK you can pick up a copy of the book Practical JIRA Administration by Matthew Doar on ebay for about £12 which will give you a great introduction to the different schemes…

It is worth reviewing this page https://confluence.atlassian.com/servicedeskcloud/managing-access-to-your-service-desk-732528940.html if you have not already done so as it describes the different ways of managing access. Essentially a user who only creates tickets in service desk does not get setup as a JIRA user but they…

Your Service Desk Project will have the issue created and available to anyone with the appropriate permissions to action upon creation. However if what you mean is you wish to clone a request to another JIRA project upon issue creation you should consider why you want to break the relationship between the issue raised in…

They are independent of the main task in terms of workflow unless you write an automated post-function to also close them.
-
Hi Corinna Can you check that you have removed it from the Create Screen associated with your task issue type. You may need to create a new create screen for your bug workflow if you want to keep the resolution in there.

Unfortunately Atlassian Cloud only allows internal management of users. It cannot be shared with other applications. One of the drawbacks I am afraid. Here are the links for managing external user directories in Bamboo - https://confluence.atlassian.com/bamboo/integrating-bamboo-with-crowd-289277217.htmlBitbucket -…
-
I would suggest that you nominate one of your Crowd instances as your master and manage all users/groups in that one instance rather than try a Master-Master pair. The second (and subsequent) Crowd servers are then just local copies and you can also use the same approach for an individual application without the…

Hi Graeme Kelly There are some tricks to working with a wallboard the one most useful to you in this instance is to use the gadget header colour to determine what is scrolled and what is displayed at the same time. Gadgets with the same colour are scrolled whilst ones with different colours will be displayed together. You…

If you only want to add a comment and not change the status of the issue use bulk tool but select edit rather than transition. You will then have the option to change any field and add a comment.

Maybe Atlassian are trying to Smplfy the English language too?

Hi It is indeed possible to have JIRA send an email (using a special format) by the use of a number of different plugins. JETI, ScriptRunner4JIRA and others are all possibilities. Each comes with its own pros and cons. To look at your problem and how to solve it I would actually break it down as follows * Detect the set of…

Hi Carmen, I would certainly never transfer to a lower version of JIRA so I would look to upgrade the destination instance first. With regard to who upgrades this should be your system administrator as they will have the appropriate permissions to undertake the upgrade. If you do not have a current support licence then you…
-
It is not an absolute requirement but it makes life a lot easier. If you do not have exact matches and the destination instance is higher than the source instance then you are best taking your information through a third instance which you upgrade to match the destination instance. Remember downgrading an instance is not…
