Rick, When you mention: it is being rejected by the search filter Is there any error messages returned? Please share that with us. Also, are you using any context for the custom field "Group Assignee", such as restricting for certain projects or issue types only?
-
Hi Susan, This is actually the current behavior. We are tracking a suggestion to allow users to use mentions within custom fields as well on https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-32563. I'd advise you to vote on this suggestion to increase its popularity and add yourself as a watcher to receive any further updates…

I do not know if this is possible in OnDemand due to the restrictions in the platform as you mentioned. My suggestion would be to transform your comment here in a question here in Answers, so that anyone else would be able to see. Jelly scripts could possibly do that I think, but again I'm not sure if it works in OnDemand.

Hello, It is possible to do so by using a post-function from a third-party plugin to run a scripted post-function to add the comment. These are the steps needed to use this: * Navigate to Administration » Plugins » Find new Plugins, search and install the Script Runner plugin. * Create a <tt>.groovy</tt> file (script file)…

Donald, I'd actually advise you to upgrade JIRA to the latest version which has this feature: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA062/Auditing+in+JIRA There is a (paid) third-party plugin that you can use for this on JIRA 5.1: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.plugenta.jiraauditor I hope this helps! :)
-
Steve, we did not receive the screenshot or the CSV file.
-
HI Manuel, Just to be sure, are you importing the CSV file through the Issues » Import Issues from CSV link in the top Menu? If so, could you give it a try using the Import External Projects page inside the JIRA Administration instead - Administration » System » External System Import » Import from CSV? Cheers

Hi Vinutha, Could you try running a disk access speed test? https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRAKB/Testing+Disk+Access+Speed Also, try increasing the memory available for JIRA: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Increasing+JIRA+Memory This doc may also provide further help:…

MarC, There is a plugin named "jira-help-tips" under the System Plugins (Administration » Plugins » Manage My Plugins » Show System Plugins). Perhaps disabling it will remove the popup tips? Cheers, Matheus Fernandes

This is also a feature request for JIRA, see: Rules Governing Passwords - Password Policy. There are some workarounds mentioned in the comments of the feature request that could possibly help you.
-
I believe this can be done using the Create on Transition for JIRA from Bob Swift; but I'm afraid this isn't possible by default.
-
Hi Erkki, Rather than modifying JIRA's database, I'd indeed advise you to use its API to do this. You can use the /rest/api/2/user call using the PUT method to do this.
-
Szymon, This is actually a restricted function in Atlassian OnDemand: The JIRA 'System Administrator' global permission is not available in Atlassian OnDemand. The 'JIRA administrators' permission is still available. You can see a list of differences between the two administration types here. I hope this helps. :)

Hi Manish, This is actually a bug in the JIRA Importers Plugin, see: * https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-39006 * https://ecosystem.atlassian.net/browse/JIM-1343 Upgrading it to the latest available version should fix it. Cheers, Matheus

As of JIRA 5.2.2: Administrators can now disable autowatch We've implemented a new JIRA option that allows administrators to disable the autowatch feature (introduced in JIRA 5.0.3) for all users. To configure autowatch for all users, navigate to Administration > User Preferences (in Users section) > Default autowatch.…
-
Anthony, JIRA will automatically add an user as watcher if: * The setting 'Autowatch' is true on the user's profile; * And if the user creates an issue or comments on one. That being said, if the user adds a comment while attaching a file, he'll be added as a watcher; but if he only adds the attachment without adding a…

What about updating to JIRA 6? It will come with JIRA Mobile: You can now view mobile-optimised versions of JIRA pages on your iPhone or Android phone. The JIRA mobile interface is designed for viewing and interacting with issues on the go. Simply browse to your JIRA server's URL using your mobile browser to bring up the…

Hi Kevin, It seems you are facing a known bug (<tt>GHS-5502</tt>), which happened due to jira.atlassian.com not delivering the correct resource file when requesting. From Renjith's comment in the bug report, a hard refresh should fix this issue (<tt>CTRL/CMD + SHIFT + R</tt>) should fix this issue if you are the only one…
-
Anthony, Deleting an Epic is the same as deleting other issues, so the 'Delete Button' will be displayed under the 'More' menu: Please note though that this option will only appear if you do have the 'Delete Issues' permission on the project. Let me know if this helps.

Alex, access is the actual stem (root) of the word accessibility or accessible :P http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/accessibility?s=t Indeed there is no way to configure this to work differently so my sugestion would be to disable this if needed.
-
This actually happens because JIRA, by default, stems words; which makes the JQL searches retrieve issues based on the 'root' forms of words instead of requiring exact matches. You can see more regarding Word Stemming here, and I'll quote below part of the text mentioned there: For example, if you search for issues using…
-
Evan, I'm afraid this isn't currently possible in JIRA - this is actually a feature that is being discussed here: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-1369 There's a commercial third party plugin that implement this, but is not available in OnDemand :( :…
-
Oliviu, This happens because - in JIRA Service Desk - only Agents are assignable users - Collaborators can only: * View issues, comments and attachments * Add attachments and delete their own attachments * Add internal comments to issues and delete their own comments * Watch and vote for issues (JIRA Service Desk…

Michael, Try using the start/end of day functions, like created >= startOfDay(-15d) and created < endOfDay(-15d) Cheers, Matheus

To display these characters you'll need to ensure that UTF-8 is set in the webwork.i18n.encoding, application server and database, so in order to do it I'd advise you to follow this knowledge base article: * Internalisation and Encoding Troubleshooting Also, check if the Indexing Language is the same as in JIRA 5.1.6 as it…

To install add-ons without needing to restart JIRA, please install them through the Administration » Add-ons » Manage Add-ons page. There is a 'Upload Add-on' link that you can use to browse local files - in that case just remove the jar from the installed-plugins folder before uploading it through the UI.
-
After you have copied it to this folder, you'll need to restart JIRA.

Hi Tom, This is being tracked at jira.atlassian.com: JIRA interface is broken in Chrome v.22. Appearently, this is a problem in Chrome, and it seems it is going to be fixed in Chrome v.23 as per Stephan's comment on the bug report: Because I needed to correct some issues on my dashboard, I installed chrome v. 23 BETA. My…

It looks as sub-test is not a valid issue type for this project. Try browsing to Administration » Projects » HM » Issue Types and make sure that Sub-Test is listed there.
