Hi, Andrew Thank you for your comment. As a support organization we aim to provide the best customer service, and in this case we understand removing email as a channel is a step in that direction. We actually use Jira for our support, and using a contact form allows us to validate the user's identity providing more…

Hi, @Mark Sanders / @John Di Ciurcio It looks like you are hitting into a bug in Jira when mapping the Issue Type field during the CSV import: JRACLOUD-68491. As a workaround please try removing the issue type from the mapping option. Alternatively, you can try importing the CSV using the Import to Jira Project option…

Hi Bryan, It isn't possible to configure the board to do that without changing its filters. However, you should be able to do it by simply adding "AND issuetype in (Story, Epic)" to the board's filter. e.g.: project = DEMO and issuetype in (Story, Epic) ORDER BY Rank ASC I hope this helps!

You should be able to, but according to https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/281688/webhook-not-giving-events-to-slack-com Slack may not accept that

I've just been testing this here and I found out that this happens if you, for example: * Create a new Custom Field; * Set the context to the "Test" Issue Type; * Delete the "Test" Issue Type. JIRA will automatically remove this field from any contexts and remove the context if it doesn't have any other issue types in…

I'm glad to hear it! :)

Hi Alexander, This unfortunately cannot be done using the native JQL functions. Currently the 'linkedIssues()' function of the JQL only works basing its search on an issue key. However, there are a couple of plugins that can help in this case, depending on what version of JIRA you are using: * The Craftforge JQL Functions…

Do you have any proxy in front of JIRA?
-
Try saving the image as .png or jpeg and uploading it again. Also, make sure you are accessing JIRA through the same URL as defined in the General Configuration (Base URL). :)

Hi Kevin, I'm not sure I completely understood the problem you're seeing. So, the 'My Changes' notify me isn't working anymore after upgrading JIRA to 6.2.4? And this behavior is only occurring in some projects? If so, are you using JIRA Service Desk 1.2.5 or below (see JSD-323 / JSD-446)? Cheers

Alternatively, you can use the Change Issue Reporter or Assignee plugin. I've never used it deeply, but I've just tested and it seemed to do the trick. ;)

* Accountability, as you mentioned * Reporting * Well.... tracking! It is so much easier to track when you can actually search for an user * Related to reporting, but you can see real time how much work is assigned to each person, to better balance work distribution. Also, it may be a good point to ask "why would assign to…

Jacob, I've seen a similar case where the person was able to enter the license key using Internet Explorer. Could you try that? Just make sure the Compatibility View is disabled on IE.

It's not currently possible to export comments to Excel/Word from the issue navigator, this feature is actually being tracked at jira.atlassian.com: * View comments as a field (eg. in Excel view). Looking through the comments by the users in the feature request, there are several suggestion of workarounds to have this…

Hi there, The Scrum board does not include the Subtask in the Plan mode - for detailed view of the Subtask, the Work mode can be used. You can also see the Sub-tasks when seeing an issue's details in the Plan mode (the panel on the right side). You can see the entire discussion regarding this on GHS-6825. I hope this…

Create or update the 'JAVA_HOME' environment variable directly, and point it to the Java 8 home: https://confluence.atlassian.com/jira/installing-java-185729673.html#InstallingJava-2.SettingtheJAVA_HOME
-
Sure thing! Let us know if you're able to start JIRA afterwards. :)
-
Vedran, Yes, that is correct. JIRA 7 needs Java 1.8 in order to run as per the JIRA Server 7.0 Supported platforms docs. Please install the latest version of Java, update the JAVA_HOME to 1.8 and try to start JIRA again.

Hi there, I don't think it's possible to achieve that without actually customizing JIRA's source code or creating a Java Script to override it. I had created an Improvement Request for JIRA a while ago regarding this, which you can access here: - https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-34229 I think is the same thing as…

Gustavo, Please take a look into the following knowledge base article regarding this problem: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRAKB/JIRA+Functionality+Fails+due+to+Incompatible+magic+value+0+in+class+file+Error Cheers, Matheus

Unfortunately this is not possible by default in the On Premise Atlassian Products. Although other customers have asked for it, it requires significant effort from each product to be able to support this feature, and at the time being there is no ETA for this. What I've found that may help you, is a third-party plugin…

Hi Serkan, It seems to me you're facing the same problem as described on JSD-337. To confirm this you can run the following query: SELECT * FROM schemepermissions WHERE perm_type = 'sd.customer.portal.only'; If anything is returned, please follow our KB regarding this: JIRA Stops working after Disabling or Uninstalling…

Sure thing. :)

Is the Resolution field being updated when the issue transition to Resolved? I believe the Resolved Date will only be updated once the resolution is.
-
Anytime! let me know if you have any further doubts regarding this. :)
-
Hi Alicia, It isn't possible to make fields required during a transition only by default, but you can possibly achieve this using the JIRA Suite Utilities. That is, with this plugin you can make the fields required only on transition, and with this you can: 1- Add a new transition to your workflow, which can be a loop…
-
By default, it is not possible, and we're currently tracking this here: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSD-40 There's currently a third-party plugin that should also achieve this: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.intenso.jira.plugins.jsd-extender I hope this helps!
-
Anytime! :)
-
Roger, you should have a Enabled Projects page in the JIRA Administartion (which is provided by GH) and that lets you choose which projects will be able to use GH classic boards. :)
-
There may be something in the atlassian-jira.log or catalina.out (or stdout-******.log in Windows) if this is being caused by another error. This is most likely though a client side problem, so the development tools would be the best place I think. :)
