That's great. I think having an "undo" would be a good mitigating control.

Like the saying goes ... "You have a problem and you want to solve it using Regular Expressions. Now you have two problems." : )
-
Would this work then? {toc:exclude=.*(pen)?(banana)?(fred)?(sky)?(blanket)?(etc)?}
-
I cannot seem to find away around the pipe issue. But what about if you rewrite the expression to this ... {toc:exclude=.*heading(ABC)?(DEF)?}

Have you studied in depth how easy it is to accidentally move a page, or are there any mitigating controls to keep that from happening. I would suggest maybe paring the click and drag with a keyboard combination to keep people from accidentally moving pages.

Love Dominion! I've got all the expansions.

I found all seven that way. Great idea!

We recently ran into this very issue. I have written a user macro for ConfiForms that will limit the number of entries per dropdown field option. This may not be exactly what you are looking for but the concept could be adapted. Macro Name: confiforms_limit_dropdown_options Macro Title: ConfiForms Limit Dropdown Options…

The attachments macro lets you specify which page to target. Is your macro targeting the page it is on or a different page?

@Monique vdB Does liking questions and comments count toward the badge or is it just comment/answer likes?

Thanks for taking the time to do this @Thomas Schlegel. You sir, are awesome!

Unfortunately, that isn't easily doable. You could probably set something up with Power Scripts for Confluence or ScriptRunner for Confluence. Another workaround would be the Include Children user macro I created a few years ago. I will include the code below. You could put the macro in space B and space C and reference a…

In Confluence Administration -> User Macros create a new user macro with the below setup. Then you can go back to your page and add a Current User Profile Picture macro to your page to see the current user. In essence what the user macro below is doing is it has the storage format for the built-in user profile picture…

Power Scripts for Confluence (free app) was just released recently and I set this script up in our environment. I've set the script to run as a listener (see below screenshot). Whenever a page is created, updated, or moved and is under a certain tree in the navigation an editors restriction will be added to the page for a…

The created date/time is automatically set when you create an entry. It is a hidden field called created. You don't need to create a new field for that it's already done for you.

If you put a long table on a page the header row should stick. However that is assuming the top row is a header row and not a row with a background color. You need to use the header row button. There are other things that will break it. You can read about them in the link below. It's at the bottom of that page.…

Have you tried the "Content Report Table" macro?
-
Are you on server or cloud? If you are server you could create a user macro that dynamically creates a profile picture macro for the currently logged in user.

What is the app if don't mind my asking. I'm not seeing it. I do see an app that does enable group mentioning, but it doesn't look to me like the one I'm seeing allows you to blacklist certain groups.

Hmm. They are relative when I create an anchor, link to it, and then copy the page. Here is how I do it. Is this how you are doing it?

It sounds like you are asking if I create a page in space A called "November 2018 Status Report" is there a way to automatically create a page in space B and space C called "November 2018 Status Report" that includes the content from space A using the include page macro. Is that correct?
-
You could do this with some CSS. You could either put it in the space stylesheet or the global stylsheet depending upon how you want it deployed. Also, of note if yo use the content by label macro you can get more inks than just 5. Below is how you can do it either way you choose. Favorite Pages Macro: CSS Style:…

If you are on Confluence Server or Data Center you could create a user macro that you can drop onto your page that will change the file links in the attachments macro to preview the document instead of downloading it. Here is the user macro. Macro Name: preview_attachments Macro Title: Preview Attachments Description: This…

I just found tickets that had images attached to them from email signatures and saved the images locally to my machine. I then just used a utility to get the MD5 hash of the images. There are a number of utilities that can do that ... even some web ones.

If you click the link in edit mode and select the Edit button and you see that you are on the Search pane as opposed to the Advanced pane then that link will not break. Typically, if you copy a Confluence URL and paste it into a page it converts it to a system managed link. In that case the URL would change from…

inks made this way will not break if you move the page or change the title. Links made this way will break if you move the page or change its title.

Have you looked into Comala Workflows? It sounds like it might be what you are looking for.

When the issue is closed are you clearing the assignee field? If not then it should still be assigned when you re-open the issue.

That I know of there is no settings for disabling notification for a particular space. Here is what I would check. * Check that you are indeed watching either the space or pages in the space. * Check your spam filter to see if it is catching it. * Check that users are keeping the "Notify watchers" checkbox checked. *…

I'm seeing the same behavior in my environment as well. A workaround, though not necessarily a great one, would be instead to attach the Word document to the page and embed it with the Word macro. That does show the paragraphs and line breaks correctly.
