If you have any scripting chops then I would recommend ScriptRunner for Confluence. You could script the restrictions on page create.

Atlassian deprecated $pageManager.getPage and $pageManager.getPages. As far as I can see there isn't a way now in a user macro to get an arbitrary Page object. Were you able to find a way around this?
-
The macro is still there and will still work. You just cannot add it via the macro browser. You can still add it by using the wiki macro and using wiki syntax to add in the macro. Not ideal but it does work.

First off you should not include the html or body tags in the user macro. That means that you would have an HTML page structure like this, which is a HUGE HTML no no. <html> <body> ... Lot's of Confluence html stuff here ... <html> -- <body> -- <h2>Outdated Pages</h2> -- <table border=1 id="t1"></table> -- Your user macro…

I don't know of any add-ons specifically that will do what you want. You could create a user macro that would conditionally show different text based on the page labels and then add that user macro to the base page layout decorator so that it would be included on every page, but that would require a bit of knowledge for…

I don't think Atlassian will ever allow user macros on Cloud. It would present too much of a security threat.

This just bit me when I upgraded our non-prod Confluence. I totally forgot about this ... which I apparently commented on a year ago. I've done a bit of testing and the html at the end of the variable can be any casing. So these all work. * html * hTmL * Html * HTML * HtMl * HtML * etc. Also, any variables just named…

This is actually using built-in Atlassian UI functionality. So, it would behave the same way with anything that uses their UI framework. A quick look at the CSS and it looks like this is the rule that is constraining the width. So, you would need to override that CSS rule. .aui-tabs.vertical-tabs>.tabs-menu { width: 11em; }

Thanks. I actually found this as well by looking at the Jira REST browser and did a GET on an issue that I knew had a Confluence link and looked at the returned JSON. After a little trial and error I was able to get it working.
-
I've thought for a long time it would be nice to have a place where people could do this ... kinda like the Atlassian Marketplace but for user macros.
-
This JavaScript should work. AJS.$('.panel .collapser').each(function(){ var panel = AJS.$(this).parent().parent(); AJS.$(panel).removeClass('collapser-open').addClass('collapser-closed'); AJS.$('.collapser-button', panel).removeClass('expanded'); AJS.$('.collapser-text', panel).text('Expand panel'); });

Unfortunately, file names are considered strings so they are sorted alphabetically. Normally when I have files that need to be sorted numerically by date I name them thusly ... YYYYMMDD_MyFile.xlsx. That way they will sort correctly.

This is my oldest piece of Atlassian swag. I also had the Karma King shirt from the old Atlassian Answers site but alas I no longer have the shirt. My next oldest would be the Atlassian Answers jacket.

@Andy - PTC Redundant Been there done that. Joint compound is your friend and covers a multitude of mistakes. : )

Yeah, looks like you need to be a space admin to see that menu item. What you did works as well ... using the REST API to view the storage format ... it's just not as convenient.
-
This is where you can see the storage format of a page. The other option would be to add in the Confluence Source Editor app. It's a free app made by Atlassian. It gives you the option to edit the page storage format while you are in edit mode.
-
You can create user macros in Confluence Administration -> User Macros. Here is an example user macro. Macro Name: custom_link Macro Title: Custom Link Macro Body Processing: No macro body Template: ## Developed by: Davin Studer## Date created: 06/17/2021## @param Text:title=Text|type=string|required=true|desc=The text for…

Do you have the Gliffy app for confluence as well? Without that Confluence will not be able to render the Gliffy attachment correctly. If indeed you do here's what I would do. Manually create a Gliffy diagram and save the page. Then look at the storage format that is created for this. (Page menu -> Storage Format). This…

After writing that I realized I'm getting the same thing if I use a protocol other than file. So, I guess I would have to revise my answer to say that you would probably need to create a user macro to do this as Confluence is changing the URL and I don't think there is a way to override that.
-
You use the web link panel for this. Also, if you are trying to link to a local drive (which is what is look like in your example above) you use the file:/// protocol. One things to note is that protocol only works by default with IE. All other browsers require an extension to get the file protocol to work for security…

You can use the page properties macro in templates. Inside the macro you then put a table with a header column/row (the properties) and a non-header column/row (the values). you can even put in template variables and placeholder text to guide people through filling out the template. The second screenshot shows that you can…

There is currently no way to view the differences in attachments in Confluence. You would need to ask your team member what changes they made.
-
You could have them subscribe to the page and then they will get an email when changes are made. If they are able to check the email address in the Confluence account on their phone they could see the change there.
-
If you do not have anonymous access then users are required to have a license to view the content. You could fake it a bit by creating a shared read-only account and give everyone that account to view the content. However, that may become a but of a nightmare to manage when people leave the company as you would probably…

A couple of things to try. * Hit F12 in your browser to bring up the developer tools. Check the console tab and see if there are any errors reported. * Do you have an add blocker extension in your browser. I've seen some that have blocked Atlassian functionality such that asynchronous code(stuff that happens after the page…

Is your Confluence instance on Cloud or Server/Data Center?

This sounds to me like a good case for a smart classifier. You would create a form with a mapping between directors and projects. This form is only used to create the director to project mapping and will be used as the source for the smart classifier. Like this ... ********************** * Director * Project *…

I spent much of this month getting ready for a major project roll-out so I could not really reduce meetings. However, the project has completed now. Yay!! I'm also not great about taking vacation time and have a ton saved up. So, I decided to take a week and a half off and go camping with my daughter for a couple days of…
