We added the ability to include attachments in comments in Notification Assistant for Jira https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1211069/notification-assistant-for-jira-email?hosting=cloud&tab=overview We're working on other event types, and custom templates will come shortly after that.

You can easily configure this type of thing using our app, Notification Assistant for Jira https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1211069/notification-assistant-for-jira-email?hosting=server&tab=overview

Hi Kelly, This is happening because Atlassian is tying their various properties into Atlassian ID. This allows enterprises to control access across products. The downside is that your case is impacted. The best way to deal with this would be to use multiple browsers or browser profiles in a single browser.

We make https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1211069/notification-assistant-for-jira-email?hosting=server&tab=overview which makes this super easy.

Thanks for the recommendation Mike! @justin romeo I think you mean this https://confluence.atlassian.com/jira064/recently-created-issues-report-720416046.html right? Unfortunately we don't support this yet, but we're working on it!

I would use Service Desk for this.

You're right, I got mixed up. I also went ahead and verified the config on our end and got:
-
Is this for a single user? Will you get the recipient from a custom field? The easiest method may be to use an app focused on Notifications directly rather than writing custom scripts. Take a look at our app: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1211069/notification-assistant-for-jira-email

1100 if you do a domain claim.
-
You can access the Name property that's being returned there. However since you will also need to manually maintain this across every Jira upgrade, I would recommend you use a third party app like ours that allows your customizations to persists across…

We make Notification Assistant for Jira (https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1211069/notification-assistant-for-jira-email) that makes it a lot easier to configure which fields show up instead of trying to hack on the VM templates.
-
Do follow up emails from Nagios have the Jira issue key in the subject? I don't see that anywhere.
-
If you can't get this working in ScriptRunner, you may want to try our app which is built to support this UX from the ground up: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1211069/notification-assistant-for-jira-email

Have you tried saving them as a Jira attachment? It may be easiest to set up an admin notification project or something where you add one of the core groups to a notification scheme and drop comments in there.
-
Hi Fredrick, When you say a "system email" who do you mean as the audience? Boris
-
We're working on it! The first version should be out shortly but won't address this use case.
-
We also support this in Notification Assistant for Jira
-
We only support admin configuration at this time but hope to expand this in the future.
-
Yes we support comma separated email addresses in this field.
-
You could create an empty notification scheme?
-
Hi Derek, We support this in Notification Assistant for Jira. You would configure a notification to Assignee and set it to run based on date time fields. Thanks, Boris
-
What about domains without SPF configured at all?
-
The best thing I can suggest is to have an issue called "order more hard drives" which I am calling IT-123 in this example then link a bunch of hard drive issues to it. Then use a JQL for something like (untested) this and send an email when it's true: key = IT-123 and issueLinkType not in (blocks)

What other plugins do you already have installed? It could help us come up with a solution for you.
-
We support the inverse of this in Notification Assistant for Jira (https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1211069/notification-assistant-for-jira-email?hosting=server&tab=overview) where we send a notification when there are more than a certain number of JQL results. If you could reframe your logic in that manner, you…

Hi Brian, This is not possible with out of the box Batch notifications. However if you use a third party app like Notification Assistant for Jira (https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1211069/notification-assistant-for-jira-email?hosting=server&tab=overview) which we make, then you can configure notification based on JQL…

Or our app ;) https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1216597/in-mail-handler-pro?hosting=server&tab=overview

This isn't possible out of the box. We make a third party app called Notification Assistant for Jira which is built to help customers send customized emails. But even with our app it would be a real challenge to do something like this with good UX for your Agents and Customers. The hard part is really ensuring that the…

Hey Jesse, I want to make sure I understand this. Your goal is for you to add a user to a ticket, and when they get added, you want to ensure they're up to speed by emailing them a complete ticket history? Did you want only the comments? Boris
