HI Drishti, We support this in Notification Assistant for Jira with a similar approach to what was outlined above. You run a scheduled notification, and use JQL to filter it to the right issues.
-
You could use a combination of JQL and our app Notification Assistant for Jira for exactly this. Set your custom field as the recipient, and then adjust the JQL to limit the notification to the right tickets. Then set the trigger as Field Updated and pick your code reviewer field.

Thanks for the recommendation @Matt Doar ! @Jim Stewart we are in fact both an Atlassian and monday.com partner. monday.com has created an integration from their side using automations and we discussed this functionality in a past…

We support the admin specifying recipients in Notification Assistant for Jira
-
Hi Jan, depending on what you mean by "original text" in 4 then yes Notification Assistant for Jira will do this.
-
We support custom templates in Notification Assistant for Jira

Hey @rina d we support this functionality in Notification Assistant for Jira

I don't think you can do this natively in JSM Cloud. However we support this in Notification Assistant for Jira
-
We support this type of configuration in Notification Assistant for Jira
-
Another option would be to use our app, Notification Assistant for Jira
-
The only way to bypass entering your email would be to have the user start from the SSO tool. For example, clicking the chicklet in Okta or something.
-
You could create a custom field with an email in it, and then reference that custom field in a notification in a third party app like our Notification Assistant for Jira so the email is notified the way you said.
-
Hi Arthur, Ah gotcha. Well yeah that is how Atlassian licensing works. You're flagged as being on a free account in the Community which is why I expected you would be charged $10. The best thing I can suggest is to consider using our app in other ways so you get more value out of it. Thanks, Boris
-
Hey Arthur, Our app, Notification Assistant for Jira supports attaching files directly to emails and should cost you $10 a month.
-
We support attaching files directly to emails in Notification Assistant for Jira
-
We support this in the Send Email from Issue functionality in Notification Assistant for Jira
-
I believe this was an intentional decision by the Atlassian ID team due to GDPR. It's not a monday.com only problem, this comes up in all kinds of scenarios.
-
Hey Sean, Do you have a field that specifies when the CR will go live? If yes, then you could use our app Notification Assistant for Jira Cloud with JQL like: exampleDateField > startOfWeek(1) and exampleDateField < startOfWeek(2) And send a list of all matching issues to the appropriate recipients.
-
Hey Richard, that is correct. We make this app and sell it on the Atlassian Marketplace. If you need some help getting it set up or talking through costs, feel free to book my time using https://app.hubspot.com/meetings/atlas-authority/boris-30
-
@Jason D'Cruz this is really great. Do you expose this via any API? Specifically I would care about: * Get configuration* Is this enabled at all * Recipients * Acting user inclusion * Notification content * Update configuration* Enable / disable this * Set recipients * Set notification content * Get approval link per issue
-
Hey Paul, If you can't get it handled in Automation, we handle this scenario in Notification Assistant for Jira as long as you set it to email each user individually.
-
We support emailing custom field recipients in Notification Assistant for Jira Cloud
-
We support the created date in our Templates in Notification Assistant for Jira
-
We definitely support this within Notification Assistant for Jira

We support this in Notification Assistant for Jira

We support this in Notification Assistant for Jira Cloud. You would use a Field Changed trigger and set it to the sprint field. In the near future, we will release custom email templates so you can customize the message to the user.
-
If you need a top down way of setting this up. Take a look at our app, Notification Assistant for Jira where you could set it up with a recipient of Assignee and the JQL shared by Walter
-
If you're ok using something other than native Automation, our app, Notification Assistant for Jira would let you set up scheduled notifications. We released the first version of our Template functionality today, and plan to release further end user ability to customize it in 2-4 weeks.
-
While not an automated method, if you work with an Atlassian Partner like us, we help manage and monitor this for our customers. One of the things we do to help make this easier is co-term your licenses so there is only one renewal a year you need to worry about. Feel free to book a call if you need more info.

I think you can do this by editing the core templates at https://confluence.atlassian.com/servicemanagementserver/managing-service-project-notifications-939926348.html If you can't get it done with the core app, we support a broader set of functionality in Notification Assistant for Jira
