Hey Matthew. Before we dig any further, I just want to confirm your excel file extension was a typo. I don't think any excel document can be .xlxs but it should be .xlsx... Thanks

Hello John, If you open your board configuration (Board > Configure) and then click on the Columns option under the configuration choices, you should see the Kanban backlog on the left side of the screen. You should also see your workflow statuses mapped to columns. You can simple drag and drop any statuses into the Kanban…

The dynamic release was not working because some issues related to the future release were already in progress. After watching the YouTube video again, I noticed the only difference was the 'Initiatives' level that was created. All in all, I was trying to control the release dates and times instead of letting JIRA…

I figured out the licensing issue but it took me a while. For anyone who reads this post, here is what happened and here is my solution. What Happened: JIRA notified me of an upgrade that was available for both JIRA Software and JIRA Core. As a Project Manager, I like to keep my project management software set for the…
-
Correct, I understand that JIRA Service Desk is an app that is installed in the JIRA Software, but the installation is unsuccessful.
-
There are the only two log files that are updated upon installation. I have a valid license for this and I can't get in contact with anyone from Atlassian to resolve this issue.
-
Currently have JIRA Software and Core 7.2.6 with JIRA Service Desk 3.2.6 which should be compatilble via Atlassian's Matrix guide (https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjira/jira-platform-releases/jira-applications-compatibility-matrix) The messages are in the log file. These are completely meaningless to me. 2017-12-07…

There are a couple of customization you need to make within the board configuration to make your board look like your image above. * Create a new workflow with 4 steps (To Do, In Progress, Code Review and Done). I always select the option "Allow all transitions to status" * Associate that workflow with any given…

Hey Stephan, Thanks for the reply. I reviewed the live examples and user guides and documentation but I need a "free" way of getting this done. We cannot purchase any add-ons at this time. I may go about the free add-on and have to purchase at a later date. At the same time, I don't want to implement this and have to find…
-
Ahh, I have no created any add-ons. I'm on a time crunch to get this done and I just assumed that Atlassian had a way to allow the system to create a main and child pages based on one click by the user. I will have to review that document in further detail and see what the best options are. * Create a new blueprint *…
-
Ok, so I am looking for the src/main/resources/atlassian-plugin.xml that I edit to add a blueprint and I cannot locate it. Would it be named something else by default?
-
That's alright, I'm trying to figure out the most efficent work around that can be done... Thank you
-
I do not want to create a new space, I want to create a template with a series of pages that are generated within an exisitng space.
-
This was all very helpful, it took me a couple tries and I had to setup a test account, but it works! Thank you!
-
I did notice a few things is Confluence behaving different after the changes but we created a backup prior to any manipulation and reverted back. Everything is fine now but I just expected an easy way.
-
I understand, I have already disabled the user so they cannot log onto the system, but it would be nice to have the ability to delete users.
-
Yes. We have modified the database with this SQL Query already and changed all pages create by this user "xyz" to a currently user "abc" however, the page still has an "Author" field which cannot be changed for some reason.
-
I'm (almost) 100% sure that you can not change the Announcement Icon. I believe it is embedded in the source code.
-
That's unfortunate. I have a solid base of users that should only be able to edit and I turned off the ability for them to delete anything. If they can't delete anything why can they restore an entire page? Weird... Thanks!

Are you linking Atlassian with your Internal Active Directory? If so, Atlassian uses your Active Directory for requests and all other requests will not come through. If not, that gmail account is probably not linked with an Active JIRA User. That being said, I believe if the email is not contained in either Active…
-
You'd think the "Created by anyone" filter would allow users to see other request based on some sort of Admin feature..
-
Hammad, you should open these questions up as a new question
-
I believe so. I'm not sure what you mean about the search sidebar, but if you go into edit a page and you clock on the macro you can see Search Options. Just change the "Restrict to this Space Key" to the key of your Knowledge Base or Space.
-
Formatting a Confluence Knowledge Base is completely up to the users and creators preference. The only think I can really do is give you an idea of how I formatted my Confluence Knowledge Base to work with JSD. Although, it would be easier to do this over some sort of chat, I will do my best to explain... Confluence is…

You will have to go into the Service Desk Project and click into the project settings. * Go down to the "Screens" tab (towards the bottom) * After you click ont he Screens tab, you'll see the screens associated with each operation * Click into the associated screen (in my case, ill click on JIRA Service Desk Screen for…
-
You could use a label too but I don't think you can see that label on the main Kanban/Scrum Board, you'll have to click into the issue anyways... However, if you have the ability to filter issues, you could filter by label = John C or whatever you enter.
-
Have you looked at the Notifications for your JIRA Service Desk Project? I changed the Notifications under Projects > Service Desk > Project Settings > Notifications and then turn on the Issue Updated feature to allow specific groups or individual service desk customers.
-
It's very simple, but hopefully someone else will have another solution.
-
If you have any other questions about going this route, let me know!

If you are interested in adding a new "Priority" Type, you can go to: * JIRA Administrator > Issues * Locate the Priorities Tab (its under Issue Attributes) * Under Add New Priotiy fill out the information (Name, Description, Icon URL and Priority Color) * Here is what I used* Name - Block * Description - This is optional…
