Hi - the first two things that come to mind: * If you run Atlassian Users from Active Directory, the user may be deactivated in your organizations Active Directory OR: * Go to JIRA ADMINISTRATION > User management and find the user that is having issues. Click 'Edit' and make sure the 'Active' checkbox is selected. Hope…

Hello - I would recommend creating a 'Screen' with the Resolution field populated and integrating that into the specific workflow. This will allow a screen to pop-up with a comments field for users to type a comment before resolving an issue. * Go to JIRA Administration > Issues * Go to Screens > Add screen - create a name…

I've used SQL Server 2016 for all JIRA instance versions 7.* and had no issues. The only hold up for me was the ODBC configuration changed during versions.

Just doing a little extra research, do you have the following option selected in your Service Desk Settings? All JIRA documentation states that these permissions should overwrite all other permissions in Confluence, if this is enabled and you are still experiencing issues, we will need to get others involved. * Project…

Kelly - I believe when those links are clicked, the system attempts to route users from Service Desk Portal to the Confluence space that is linked. I confirmed in my version (JIRA - v7.12.1, Confluence - v6.6.0 and Service Desk - v3.15) will route me from the portal to the literally confluence page. Do you have this same…

Hi Kelly - Can you try to go to your Confluence Knowledge Base > Space Tools > Permissions. Go down to Anonymous Access and set Anonymous view permissions. This will allow anonymous users to view anything in your knowledge base. Be advised, if your site is public than users outside of your network would be able to view…

Did this fix your issue?

Hi Fabian, My initial thought is the workflow you have configured contains some transitions between steps that is clearing / requiring this field. Please go to Administration > Issues > Workflow and select the workflow that is being used for the specific project. Once you find that workflow, go ahead and select 'Edit'. You…

If you go into General configuration > Custom HTML, you can hide objects on pages across the entire Confluence platform. I do not have the "Export to CSV" option but I do have the "Export to Word" option. To remove this, I did the following: * Go to General configuration > Custom HTML * <style type="text/css">…

The Confluence Knowledge Base needs to have correct permissions set in place so 'anonymous' users can access the information through JIRA Service Desk. * Go to your Knowledge Base > Space tools > Permissions * Scroll down to "Anonymous Access" and click "Edit Permissions" * Only select the option for anonymous users to…

If you go into User Management and apply the filter for Application Access to be JIRA Software, you'll get a view of all users that are currently using a license in your system.

Do you have confluence linked with your active directory?

Hi Shannon, If you go into the project(s) for the issue's you released, you should see a 'Releases' tab on the left panel. In that releases tab, you'll see the release you created. If you click into that release, you'll see all the issues that were associated with that release. You can always undo your release if needed.…

I also have the same issue on JIRA Core/Software v7.9.1 and JSD 3.12.1 - I can't connect using POP or IMAP for various errors... When I go into secure/admin/SDMailInfo.jspa the file does not exist and brings me to a 500 error page (Admin Settings > Applications > Jira Service Desk > Email requests

This permission would only apply to that specific space. You can check your anonymous permissions by logging out of your confluence instance then clicking back into your confluence site without being logged in. If your permissions are correct, you should see the space.

Hello Francesc, I followed these posts but none of them actually worked. I ended up having to do the following: * Stop Atlassian Services * Stop SQL Server * Restart Server * License was automatically populated and installed. Very odd but worked!

Hey Tim, You can try to switch the permissions on your Knowledge Base, see my screenshot below. Go to the Knowledge Base > Space tools >Permissions > Anonymous Access > Edit permissions and allow all anonymous users to view the knowledge base. If your site is public facing, we may need to take a different approach. Let me…

Pretty sure this is it. The bold text are fields you will need to replace with YOUR VALUES. project in (ADHOC) AND status = "Ready To Do" AND assignee is EMPTY AND assignee changed BEFORE endOfDay(-1) Does this help?

The sprint length should be 10 days, it is configured to only use 'working days' by default. you can change this if you'd like. To change it: * Go to your board configuration * Left panel, select "Working days" * Select the days and outliers of your choice

Hopefully you created both a JIRA backup and a Database backup. You can uninstall the services (if they are on your services list) and attempt to complete a new installation. As long as everything was backed up, you won't lose any data. Addition - don't forget to perform server reboots upon installation of new software.

Hey James, There is a couple ways to achieve visibility of projects in JIRA, but this is how I did it. * Create a group and name it something meaningful by going to Settings > User Management > Groups and Add Group. Place your users and yourself in this group * Create a Permission Scheme by going to Settings > Issues >…

I upgraded my JIRA instance (Software and Core) from version 7.1.9 to version 7.7.0 with little to no issues. The biggest issue that occurred during my upgrade was SQL database connection string in the XML configuration file. The format changes during the upgrade due to a new SQL Driver but the format change in the config…

Hello, Upon completing a sprint, if you already have other sprints in planning (on the backlog) you will have the option to move the issues to the backlog OR to the available sprints. The question you submitted is similar to the questions raised back in 2015 (Similar Question) and has gone unanswered to this day. However,…

I would assume that your Project is using some sort of Permission that is restricting access to any users that are not associated with the Project Permissions. To change this, you can either modify the existing Permissions or create a new Permissions Scheme. I would recommend the second option. Recommended: * Go to Admin…

In Admin Settings > General Configuration > Space Permissions you should see all spaces. Once you find the space that you are having trouble viewing, click on Manage Permissions and add a group of users to view the page. If this doesn't work, I have additional questions to try and figure out why you cannot view the space.…

The last think I can think of (if that doesn't work) is to go to Project Settings >Issue Types and click on the Field Configuration for whichever issue type you'd like. Once you do that, go down to the Attachment Field Configuration and make sure the action is set to Show. Once this is complete, repeat what I stated above.

Looks like in the 3rd image, attachment is already a screen. It may just not be displayed on the user side. Go to your Project Settings > Request Types and then select the Request Type that you want to associate the Attachment Option with. Next, click on Edit Fields. See below. You should be able to add the Attachment…

Hopefully someone else will respond to this last question you surfaced. I think you may be onto something because 'Error in the JQL Query: Expecting either 'OR' or 'AND' but got 'Implementation”'. (line 1, character 41)'. This line in bold makes me think that JIRA recognized 'In' as a function instead of an actual workflow…

Hello Beth, Depending on which version of JSD you are using, the configuration may be a little different. Here is how I would add 'Attachment' as a option for Field Configuration on a JSD project. Option1: * Go to your JIRA Service Desk Project and click on Project Settings * On the left panel, you should see an option for…

Not sure why that error would occur. I've noticed this error in the past too. To avoid errors, I use the JIRA system drop down to select any suggested values it may have instead of free-typing the filter. Mine worked fine: project = "Project Creation" AND status changed TO Done DURING (2018-01-01, 2018-02-01) Glad it is…
