Hi Natalie, Just to verify - is this a Jira Software space? Or Jira Service Management space? And can the user select people in another People picker field that is not tied to a group?
-
Hi Rico - Welcome to the Atlassian Community! Did you ever get this figured out? If so, what did you do?
-
Yep, understood - thanks for the update.
-
Agreed - this is the route to go!
-
Hi Sonja - Welcome to the Atlassian Community! Personally, I am not a fan of using sub-tasks as it makes it harder for automation rules and reporting in my opinion. As well as how the work items show on boards - it is very clunky.
-
Hi Cindy - Welcome to the Atlassian Community! For a Kanban board, if you want Backlog functionality, you need to go the Board Settings and place a status in the Backlog section under Columns menu option of the Layout.
-
Hi Emerico, That is correct - there should be no additional costs depending on how much functionality you want to do between the two.
-
This is a duplicate post of here: https://community.atlassian.com/forums/Jira-Service-Management/On-Call-Rotations/qaq-p/3216979 Please provide answers there.
-
That's weird - you should probably go ahead and open a support ticket.
-
Hi Keerthika, You should be able to use a simple Automation Rule to send that if you have that app loaded.
-
Cascading fields only use a single select picklist/dropdown. Not multi-select nor checkboxes.
-
Hi Foster - Welcome to the Atlassian Community! I am going to mark Shalini's answer as Accepted. Please let us know if you still have questions.
-
Hi Diallo, The only way I know of to be able to do this with a third part app like ScriptRunner Behaviours.
-
Hi Karl, Outside of trying a different browser or trying with Incognito or Private window mode, I would say go ahead and open a support ticket.
-
No, that is not permitted for end users to submit CSV files to bulk create work items. That would be a dangerous practice.
-
Hey Ken - please respond in line to the thread so users can follow the conversation. Yes, that is why I created the automation rule, because the sync wasn't doing what I wanted it to do. You can set the rule up for creating the incident when the alert gets created - just change out the trigger and add any needed…
-
Hi Mark, See that link below for guidance on importing from a CSV file. You will need to be an administrator to be able to do that. Also note that dates should be in the format in the CSV (and during the import use the same format) of YYYY-MM-DD.…
-
Hi Ken, I recently created a manual automation rule that will be executed from an Alert that creates an Incident in a JSM space and links the two automatically. It also includes input prompts in the manual rule so that I can select which Work Type it gets created for.

Hi @Srimithun B. - Is this phone call that happens to notify On-Call schedules?
-
Hi Brandon, Let me see if someone from Atlassian can come here to check on this and maybe escalate things. Is there an Escalate option on any of the open support tickets that you have? Please have that list of ticket numbers/links handy.
-
Hi @PLaksh11 I suggest you try one of the many third party apps in the Atlassian Marketplace for Time In Status reports. Some are even free. https://marketplace.atlassian.com/search?query=Time+in+Status&hosting=cloud
-
Hi Lingala Please provide more information. With exactly what product are you needing help with? And what have you tried so far?
-
Very good - thanks for that information. You should go ahead and open a support ticket with Atlassian in my opinion to find out what is going on. Please post back here with the solution/advice for future readers. Best of luck! https://support.atlassian.com/contact/#/

Hi Juliana - Welcome to the Atlassian Community! This is an end user community - not support or sales. You will not be able to schedule a meeting with anyone here. That being said, I suspect you are referring to functions in Jira Service Management and not Jira, so I have moved the question to that group. And having said…
-
Hi Iryna - Welcome to the Atlassian Community! Where you able to get this resolved?
-
Hi @FrancoB Cascading fields are a pain to work with inside automation. I use JSON in the More Options section of the action for Creating or Updating work items if that is what you are doing. For example: { "update": { "customfield_10893": [ { "set": { "value": "{{triggerIssue.fields.customfield_10893.value}}", "child": {…

You said you were browsing work item - what does that mean? Did you come to the work item from a filter, for example? Or did you query the work item directly in the search box? How did you get to the work item and what does the URL look like?
-
Hi Guatam - Welcome to the Atlassian Community! You need to create a support ticket for Atlassian to check on it for you.
-
Just to clarify - we are not Atlassian support. We are just end users like you, so we do not have access to your Atlassian site to see things. That's why you need to post screenshots. So, based on what you have posted, it looks like it might be related in how you came into the work item. Is your process that you arrived at…

Hi @Lakshmanarekha_Basu These types of errors are often associated with browser problems. Please try another (different) browser, try with Incognito or Private window mode, and clear your cache are all ways to first try to troubleshoot.
