Yeah, that is what I feared as well. Thanks anyway, I will have to see what to do, seems like the manual job cannot be skipped here...

Hi @Marc -Devoteam- , I know that if I have a text attribute in the asset I can get the value of that attribute and copy it to a custom field. I am not sure though that I can make a text asset attribute that will have as value the name of the asset object type automatically, that is what I cannot figure out how to do.
-
Let me see if I understand you correctly. The idea is to have an attribute of, let's say Text type, named the same as the Object type? How do I fetch that name in the postfunciton afterwards? The postfunction extract attribute values, not the name of the attributes, right? What am I missing here?

Hi @Marc -Devoteam- , I use the Name attribute of the objects for the real name of the object, so I cannot place there the object type name. I do not want the users to have to select the object type name in an attribute when creating an object, but I cannot see how this can be done automatically, any ideas?
-
Hi @Marc -Devoteam- , I cannot seem to find the right "object attribute name" to use to fetch the name of the object type. I tried with "Object Type", "objectType", "objecttype", etc... but nothing seems to work. I am starting to think it is not supported at all...

Hi Marc, Thanks for the quick response. However I could not understand what automation rule you refer to. The Automation I use to automatically create a ticket when asset is created belongs to the Assets automations, not Jira automations. I do not think I can use either to fetch the name of the object type and copy it in a…

Good to hear that worked. For some reason I do not have this problem with the dates, maybe it is the date format...

So much about community support for Cloud Free instances...

@Darryl Lee Thanks for the update, obviously I mismatched the Organization here, it is not the Customer Organizations, but the Cloud Org, which sounds promising. However the fact, that it only works for Managed accounts means, that it would only be useful in some of the cases (in our case it is not). Keeping fingers…

@Darryl Lee You are right that when you call the rest for your own user it will return the e-mail as well, but have you tried calling it for other users? In my case the rest I am calling returns a JSON result, that only contains e-mail for my user, for all the rest it would not have the e-mail. I have not tried the…

@Bill Sheboy Yes, the deleting of issues and recreating them is currently in 1 rule, which indeed can lead to throttle situation if you have thousands of users in the instance. In this case you can separate it in 2 different rules, one to delete and then one to recreate, by properly scheduling them. If you still get into…

OK, almost a year later let me answer to myself. The answer to my question is in the Assets Automation rules, where you can setup a rule to run when an asset is updated and run a Groovy script. In the Groovy script you can describe which attributes you want to copy over to the connected ticket and do it, but pay attention…

Go to my.atlassian.com, find the subscriptions that your primary billing/technical contact for, change it to some other person, or cancel the subscriptions, then you should be able to delete your account. Cheers, Boyan

This option hides the attribute only from users in the "insight-users role". That is all it does.

Hi Manuel, Using our app mentioned above it is possible. Out of the box unfortunately it is not. Best regards, Boyan
-
Hi Tobias, Unfortunately no, as everyone else I can only rely on the Atlassian Roadmap, which does not provide more precise dates. BR, Boyan
-
Hi, If the out-of-the-box functionality is not enough, you can try Advanced Portal Reports app we made. Cheers, Boyan
-
Hello Galib, Currently this is not possible, according to Atlassian roadmap it should be available in Q2-Q3 2022, so really soon for Cloud. Cheers, Boyan
-
Hi Ben, I don't think you should be using Jira Automation for this. Looks like your best option is to use Workflow Triggers as explained here: https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/configure-workflow-triggers/ Cheers, Boyan

Hi Pramodh, Thanks for the quick reply. I know each of the products has separate license, but the question here is if I can mix different types of licenses on the same instance. Have you tried running one with DC and another with Server license on the same instance? Cheers, Boyan

Hi Ingo, Unfortunately this is not out-of-the box functionality. We have an app - Advanced Portal Reports - that can customize the columns for the user, let him export result to csv, sort, etc. Feel free to check it out and if you have any questions get back to us. Cheers, Boyan
-
Hi Antonio, We have this feature in our roadmap, but I cannot yet confirm when it will be implemented. Cheers, Boyan

Hello, If you need to customize the Portal Requests view, out of the box you have very limited options. We have created and app for this - Advanced Portal Reports - which shows a customizable issues view, where custom fields can be shown, sorted by, filtered, exported to Excel, etc. You can give it a try. Cheers, Boyan
-
Hello, We creared the app so we are using it too, as well as numerous Atlassian customers. Feel free to give it a try and if your security team has any concerns we will gladly address them. Cheers, Boyan

Hello, If you are referring to the "My requests" page or the View Request pages on the portal, out of the box you are very limited. You can try the app we created - Advanced Portal Reports. It will allow your portal customers to view many fields on View Request and My Request pages on the portal, also to search easier,…

Hello, I don't think it is possible out of the box. You can try with the app we created - Advanced Portal Reports - it will give you the possibility to show this info (and much more) to the customer on the portal - both in issue view and in the Report view. Best regards, Boyan

Hi Stephen, That sounds normal, as you have exceeded the Free plan limit you are now on Standard trial. You can keep adding the necessary users and you will have to start paying once the trial ends. Sometimes the email limit does not automatically get removed when you transit from Free to Standard, you can ask Atlassian to…
