Hi @Serial Founder You need to go to your workflow. In the transition from "To Do" to "Done" or any other transition you want, Add post-function "update issue field", choose the field you want to update (in your case "resolution"), give it a value, than "save", than "publish" your workflow changes. That's it, give it a try.

add the following to import: import groovy.json.* Add this line after all the code i sent you: def parsed = new JsonSlurper().parseText(response) parsed.renderedFields.description

Hi Daniel, I'm Happy the problem solved. As i assumed it was SSL problem from your side and not something related to the code. Any way, from Jira side i gave you the solution. Sorry but i can't teach you how to code... As this is general question of how to read and use JSON. I suggest you will use some google for this.

Works! Thanks @Alexey Matveev :)
-
If you are on server, you can do it with ScriptRunner But you will have to know code and how to write scripts in groovy
-
I don't think the "baseurl" is the issue... It makes more sense that the issue the REST API method, is there any chance you are blocked from performing REST API calls on your server? Something your IT/System/Security department did to your servers? I'm adding one of my champion colleges, maybe he will know... @Alexey…

I'm not sure of the error... Maybe it's related to security/policy or some other company restrictions?

import com.atlassian.jira.component.ComponentAccessor import org.apache.commons.httpclient.Credentials; import org.apache.commons.httpclient.HttpClient; import org.apache.commons.httpclient.HttpStatus; import org.apache.commons.httpclient.UsernamePasswordCredentials; import org.apache.commons.httpclient.auth.AuthScope;…

So in your script listener, Write this: //get the base url of Jira def baseUrl = ComponentAccessor.getApplicationProperties().getString("jira.baseurl"); //rest api request HttpClient client = new HttpClient(); GetMethod method = new GetMethod(baseUrl + "/rest/api/latest/issue/" + issue.getId() + "?expand=renderedFields");…

@Jackson Farnsworth Try also ".size()" or ".size"

I will guide how to use REST API. Do you have Jira server or Cloud? here you want to run the script? as a post-function in your workflow?
-
Hi, Using the REST API you can do it. so you need to get your issue data via REST API, like this: /rest/api/latest/issue/{issuekey}?expand=renderedFields The important part is the "?expand=renderedFields" In the JSON response that you will get, you will have "renderedFields" entity, all rich text (wiki render) fields will…

Hi @Jackson Farnsworth Yes, Jira use velocity. If both $var.size() and $var.length() comes with the same error, Then you better check that you pass/access your "var" correctly...

It's a very general and unclear question. I guess you want to build a plugin for Jira using Jira SDK... Start here: https://developer.atlassian.com/server/framework/atlassian-sdk/getting-started-tutorial-faq/ Once you finished, start with this tutorial:…

no, From your project notification scheme, there is event called "Issue Updated" Make sure no one is set there. If no one there, no one will get notification when update is made (no matter who do the update).

Hi, From your desktop computer, go to cmd.exe in your cmd write the following command: ping <my-company>.atlassian.net doesn't matter if the ping success or not, you will have this message: Pinging <my-company>.atlassian.net [11.111.111.111] with 32 bytes of data. [11.111.111.111] - is the IP for your instance Go…

Hi, You can use "Time Tracking", this is built in feature in Jira. Go to your screen configuration, add "Time Tracking". This will add 2 new fields to the screen, "Estimate" and "Remaining". After you create the sub-task you can also log your work and the remaining will be updated according to your original estimate and…

Hi, I don't think it's possible not to send notification if specific user or group made changed on the issue. You can stop notification if anyone made changes and not if specific user made changes.
-
Hi @Karthikeyan N You would have to create an issue, grab the issuekey then attach the attachment using /rest/api/2/issue/issuekey/attachments
-
Hello @Karthikeyan N and welcome to the community! Your connection with the Node.JS to Jira seems to be fine, otherwise you would receive a different error. As the error says "Summary : it is not on the appropriate screen or unknown" You need to check your screen configuration, make sure that all the fields you mentioned…

Hi, The strikethrough happens when an issue has been resolved. So as long your "resolution" field is empty, you will not have the strikethrough. You want to have the strikethrough, set the resolution field with a value.

@Pablo Please mark my reply as the answer so this case will be marked as closed

Hi, The fields you want to keep their data, need to be in the "view issue" screen of both projects.

If i understand you right, you have 2 customfields of type DATE and you want to compare them and return the furthest date? For example: Date A = 01/Nov/2018 Date B = 01/Dec/2018 if B>A return B? If that is what you want, here the code for this: import com.atlassian.jira.component.ComponentAccessor def customFieldManager =…

Hi, Why do you want to do it programmatically using groovy? It will be a lot of code work, you have a very friendly and useful UI to do it with no problem

Hi, I don't think it's possible @Nic Brough -Adaptavist- @Daniel Yelamos [Adaptavist]
