Always a pleasure to share a table and some time! I loved getting to hear you speak about how you all built up the community in Madrid. I took away many learnings and am already picking your brain about how we can implement some of those things in Málaga - stay tuned ;)

I fully support this!

Thanks so much for this summary! Great to have an idea of some of the themes that are coming through. In Malaga, I've personally found that our members want more hands-on events which aligns with the "More deep‑dive technical content (not just high‑level overviews)" point here. We've tried to keep point points to a minimum…

Final answer from Atlassian: Unfortunately, the integration does not function as an automation process. It can either perform one action or the other, but not both at the same time. Here’s what occurs: it receives the incoming request from the integration, identifies the "create" action, and simply executes it. It does not…

Thanks so much, @Bill Sheboy ! Your answer helped me a ton to get to the final answer :) I wrote out what my final solution was step by step above if you're interested. Thanks again!

Awesome to see more features be released for Goals! So much potential here! Feedback from my use case (some have been addressed by other comments below): * Control read/write access for Goals* Only some users should be able to create Goals - I've already had to police this * Ability to delete a goal - not just Archive *…

@Marc -Devoteam- is it possible to have groups as approvers instead of individual users? I am also looking for an answer to this same problem - I don't need customers to see what individuals in my organization approved changes, but if they could see that "Engineering" approved it, that's fine.

I've been using this structure - similar to what you're describing: Goals → Epics → Work * Goals → Owned by exec members. Something we want to achieve in the org and the key results that define what success looks like are in the description. Pretty broad.* Sub-Goal → These are owned by senior leadership members. These are…

I have a list of all the countries I've visited, scuba dives I've done, and lists of random Italian phrases that I learn so I don't forget them as I continue to learn the language. Back in 2018 I did a lot of travel, and I had an excel with all the flights I had taken, how many kms and miles each were, airports, company,…

Oh, I love this throwback! I used to collect sea glass from walks on the beach. I still have quite a collection and every walk I go to on the beach, I end up finding a few pieces. Now, I need to figure out what to do with it all! Suggestions welcome 🤗

I can also highly recommend using this site to get the ics file for whatever country you're in: https://www.officeholidays.com/subscribe/usa Just change the country after the backslash. I've just added all bank holidays in our various locations in a few clicks to our SLA calendars in JSM. So slick!

Hi Laura! The way I have seen it used so far is the following structure: * One Goal per Objective (with measurable Key Results in the description) * Business Unit Level Key Results as sub-Goals * Jira Epics linked to the BU level KR sub-goals In this way, executives can own the Objectives and report on them quarterly for…

I'd love to see this as well! I use emojis to help visually differentiate between content, and having them at the folder level would be amazing! Has anyone requested this officially to Atlassian?
-
Nice article! I'm interested how you feel about showing SLAs to customers via the portal? I've seen both sides discussed and arguments for each - I guess there's a time and place for both, but I thought it was an interesting point to discuss with this too!

@Angelie Stephens Yes! Let me link a few of my favorite movie soundtracks I like to listen to to get motivated and focused: https://open.spotify.com/track/1NvGR6fvdTsHsTAvsvpj4h?si=318f983e8cb34e98 https://open.spotify.com/track/6NbAq7GsybFBjQUr1JUONn?si=e04cb17b3a074014…

In the same way that JSM projects automatically rank service requests/incidents based on the SLAs, so should other work be prioritized based on due dates. I use Plans to keep all the work that my team is doing prioritized by end date. Priorities change? I can change the date and update the rank of all issues so my team…

When you're not sure ask - this is so important! But it also requires us to build an environment where those questions are encouraged and not looked down upon. Encourage your teams to be curious! Test out new ideas, see if it works, learn, and do it again.

This is a great use case for Loom - especially for teams in different time zones. In our weekly meetings, we each go through what we're working on and any wins and/or blockers. It makes sure we're all aligned, and I can set priorities for all when they change.
-
You've hit the nail right on the head. Specific, actionable, timely. I couldn't agree more!

I have set a standard within my team to put a POST on every invite they send. Purpose What is this meeting about? Objectives What do we expect to accomplish during this time? Structure In person? Virtual? Maybe there's an agenda Time How long are we meeting? I found this makes it clear to everyone what we are doing, why we…

This is so important! It's all about balance - great read! :)

I love doing two truths and a lie with groups so they get to know a little more about each other! It gives each person the ability to share what they're comfortable with and it's always good fun!

I really enjoy classical music or functional music when I need to focus. I have a folder of a few lists in Spotify that I switch between. brain.fm is another great resource!
