What plan are you on for Opsgenie? Do you use JSM and if so, which plan? I know they are migrating Opsgenie into JSM directly. I wonder if that would streamline things a bit on the automation.

Hi @john.monteith , I tested this and recreated a custom field single-select drop-down with values: "Yes" "No" "TBD" - Then, I used the following RegEx for the workflow field validator ^(Yes|No)$ This worked for me successfully, as intended. I noticed your RegEx in bold has spaces between the other RegEx characters. That…

Hi @isabel_p_cardoso_hotmail_com , I tried to test this out on my own and made this work with a simpler approach not needing variables. For me, using the Start Date and Due Date fields, I did the following: WHEN: Value changes for due date / start date THEN: Log work * Time spent: {{due date.diff(start date).days.abs}}d *…

Atlassian just rolled out (2 days ago) deleted logs to show up in the Jira System Audit log. See the completed JAC suggestion here. Previously, you would've had to write a global automation when an issue is deleted, that writes a value to the audit log, usually capturing things like key, summary, etc. via smart values.

We ran into this with integrating another Atlassian product to a private Teams Channel. What we ended up doing, is using webhooks to send out from the platform into Workflows (or PowerAutomate) which then can shoot a message in a private channel on your behalf, or by means of the webhook. This support guide walks through a…

While this is very cool and exciting, it seems like this is only available for customers using the new Atlassian Home / Platform Experiences. I see the save draft option when I open my sandbox environment which does not have the old Atlas experience. Our production site is using the old Atlas and is does not have the…

Great update! I know this was standing in the way of Atlas customers being migrated to the experience. Is there a date or time period when we can expect that transition rolling out? We're very eager for this move! Also, is the ability to switch a project or goal's visibility between public and private on the roadmap?…

Hi @Gayathri B ! This sounds like a very interesting use-case :-) Would you mind sharing a screenshot of what you have set up so far in your automation? I'm trying to understand where the count of linked issues is being stored in your case.
-
Woohoo!! I'm so glad. It is a little daunting at first, but we're all here to support each other. You'll be a pro in no time!! Happy automating! :-)
-
Glad that's working well! It is true that automation actions by default apply to the trigger issue, even after a "create issue" action. For any actions to issues created as a result of a different trigger issue, you'll want to add a For each branch, choose Branch rule / related issues and select All created issues for the…

You can now use form fields in automation as smart values, even without a linked Jira custom field. Check out the announcement and support docs for more details!

Form fields are now available in automation as smart values without needing a linked Jira custom field. * Announcement * Support docs
-
Hi @Jared Grywacheski , great question! Atlassian actually announced in November 2024 that form fields are now available via smart values in JSM without needing custom fields tied to them. We've used these a bunch since then, so I'm happy to help. They are a little tricky to figure out even reading through the announcement…

Ahh, thanks so much for that screenshot @Paula Hípola ! Looks like this is technically a number field in Jira, but it is through the Jira issue details field in Confluence DBs. The native number field in DBs (and others support this). There is an open suggestion to support calculations on Jira issue details fields that…
-
Hi @Paula Hípola ! Interesting that it is not showing. I just recreated it on mine and can get it to sum. Can you show a screenshot of what you are looking at (blurring out any details if necessary) so we can better give advice?

It's a bit odd that it isn't external automatically. That is the default for forms that are linked to request types and submitted through the portal. I'm wondering if your users are submitting through the agent view OR if you have an automation running that makes them internal by default? One quick solution, that would…
-
Hi @kamal.a.nayan , try moving your IF statement between the WHEN and THEN items. The automations run sequentially, so it is triggering already when the sprint value changes and then checking for the IF variable afterwards.
-
Hi @Andrew Schmidt , can you confirm in one of your tickets that the form is set to be "external"? Internal really means only agents, but sometimes we want our "internal" (like in the company) customers to see it and for that you'd need to make it "external" - it would still be only visible to the reporter and request…

I know that the following suggestion is being rolled out: * JWMCLOUD-555: Allow bulk changing issues from the List view for Business Projects Might this be relevant to the specific kind of Jira projects you're using?

In the Confluence automation template library, there is one that sounds close to what you're describing: "Add specific labels when a page is published by a certain author" Could this be what you found before? You can find these at https://yoursitename.atlassian.net/wiki/admin/automation#/tab/rule-library

I'd be interested in providing a quote for sure :-)

It's quite basic at the moment, but I added a screenshot to my original post.

It's me on the leaderboard! @Harrison Ponce Thanks all for a great event. Love these!
-
Thanks @Shivam Sharma - Optimizory and @Andy Gladstone - that makes sense. I'll take this as the answer for just making sure to receive credit. Still think it would be nice if the email would link back to the specific event or at least have the name of the event in the email.
-
Agree with you, but sometimes I do get event missed emails for ones I actually attended (e.g., YouTube live events). It seems like there would be a somewhat easy way to just add a variable for the specific event name in the email. Maybe not.
-
Hey there - I'm not sure what your suggestion is exactly. I attend the events by RSVP'ing with the same community profile. It won't work to attend from different accounts as there are so many events.
-
Hi @Tim Tesluk , great question! The new JSM Operations API developer guide can be found here and the way you create the API key is similar to how you would for all other Atlassian products. These two guides below should help: * Basic auth for REST APIs - get an API token * Manage API tokens for your Atlassian account
-
Hi @Emma Chang , this is awesome!! I'm super excited to take this one. However, I noticed that vouchers are not applying successfully for this ACA exam. Is that intentional? The ones I have available work to schedule other exams but not this one.
-
To add on to @Rudy Holtkamp 's answer. I would agree and recommend using the object attribute as the way to "organize" and "classify" your employees. If for your business processes require or work out better with different object types (personally would not recommend), or you would like to have this ability for other…

Hi @David Sanchez , can you attach a picture of what both of these emails look like (blurring out any important stuff)? I have a hunch that the emails are being generated from different sources (e.g., customer notifications, internal notifications, or automation)
