And she is still out there every day checking on them and scaring off any insects
-
As can be seen from her arm and shoulder
-
The flowers are taller than her now!
-
More picture of my daughter's garden (plus likes for trees!)
-
Thanks @Tejasvita Madan capacity planning is always on of the things that slips through the gaps across teams so improvements in Jira would be welcomed.
-
I try and get extra movement and exercise after the school run and pick up, but since mu daughter breaks up for the summer next week I'm going to be using the time I would normally be sitting in a car with her to extend my exercise periods.

Not only were there interesting articles, etc. for JPD June, there were also lots of opportunities for Liking in July!
-
It has been amazing how much JPD has helped us with our planning, and with getting some teams off of hiding there ideas and objectives in obscure word documents!
-
Thanks everyone for the interesting questions, and the JPD for the detailed answers
-
Great webinar, and good insights
-
I don't think I could persuade our CRMs to change to JPD, but this is a great way to use JPD
-
I'm just about to go into an objectives review session where we'll definitely be using the roadmap to confirm what we're doing for the rest of the year
-
For high level estimation of effort we've added fields for: * Number of team members from each team (e.g. DataOps, DevOps, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, etc.) * Approx Number of Sprints (using Fibonacci so 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, too many, etc.) We can then break that down to a granular level when tit's approved, but this…
-
We're currently using JPD for a few purposes: * Objective tracking and setting across teams (including resource requirements) * New product ideation * Bug tracking* *The team that is using JPD for bug tracking has agreed in principle to use Jira instead so we only have one ticket that can actually be assigned and tracked
-
Roadmaps and hierarchies will be top of my list
-
@Andy Gladstone the first few days of likes for trees are not too bad with round ups like this, but in a couple of weeks we'll all be trawling through whatever necro-posts we can find!
-
We're having an issue with this at the moment; we've got a new tech lead on one of our teams and he hasn't fitted in as well as we'd hoped. We're getting good detail from our PO as ideas in JPD on why we're doing a piece of work, with business value and high level deliverables, but translating that down to workable work…

Thanks for letting us know about this @Jaime Netzer

Hi @Ei Pyae Pyae Phoo It's good to see that you are interested in learning more and taking certifications. The learning path 'Get the most out of Jira' is one of two recommended learning paths for the Jira Software Essentials exam, along with 'Apply agile practices to manage your work', if you have not yet done the second…

Hi @Brita Moorus welcome to the group and community, it's fantastic having you with us!

The plants have now had time to grow and been repotted, so here's an update on my daughter's windowsill plants and her stony garden (the pots at the front were sown later so they're only just starting to get going, but we wanted to space things out to get a longer flowering season):

My home office has north facing windows so no direct sunlight, and it's on the lower ground floor so it's naturally cooler. This means that I'm wearing cool weather clothes, but as soon as I go outside it's like opening an oven. So I bought myself a hand fan (which should arrive today), and a wide brimmed hat, so when I'm…

Thanks @Alex Ortiz

Thanks for the videos @Alex Ortiz , I'm going to be working towards ACP-620 later this year, and I was just wondering if you're going to be adding all the sessions to your ACP-620 playlist?: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLIEqOdk4liYu-p6aYbWUqRiWJL99Avlrc

Hi @asadiq Imagine the process for creating and releasing a new application: * Product Discovery * Scope / requirements refinement * Development * QA / UAT * Marketing * Release * Feedback Each of these steps is carried out in an Agile manner, but they follow a logical sequence, so although individual aspects of the work…

Glad to hear it, and you're not the only one to think that the Kanban and Scrum views should share the logic, there have been a few discussions here about that across these forums.
-
For a Kanban backlog, which is what you're asking about, in-progress items are, by definition, not in the backlog - you've started work on them, so they're on the board. So, as I stated, the Kanban board backlog is working as expected. On the other hand Scrum board backlogs show all work items that are not done (or were…
-
Hi @Matteo From the information you provided to @Anandhi Arumugam _Cprime_ it looks like the Kanbam board is working as expected. The backlog view shows what tickets have not yet been started, in your case work items in ether Backlog or To Do, to remove an item from the board you would have to transition it to Backlog or…

Since DevOps works with both our technology and the wider business we employ a number of different ways of keeping stakeholders informed: The very basic one is a dashboard that shows what DevOps is working on and what the priority list is. This also includes statistics such as created vs resolved time for incidents Due to…

Hi @AS thanks for the article. Whilst I agree with many of the concepts that you've listed, you need to be careful not to fall into the trap of saying Agile is Scrum. Instead focus on Agile being an approach to delivering value to customers quickly, adapting to changing requirements and receiving feedback throughout the…
