Thanks for the article @Ajay Adhikari My thoughts on this are: If you're regularly interrupted by unplanned work then maybe sprints are the wrong approach, our DevOps team uses a Kanban approach instead so we can focus on the current priority work items and keep stakeholders informed of what our priorities are rather than…

Hi @AS JSM is focussed towards Service Management, i.e. working with customers, while Jira is focussed more towards work delivery. It's difficult for us to give you a use case for JSM for your specific job as it will depend on whether or not your role will require the service management way of working of JSM. That is…

Hi @Natalia_Kovalchuk_SaaSJet_ welcome aboard!

Welcome to the group @AS

Although I have lots of feel-good memories of my dad, but one which really stands out is a return trip we took to New Zealand when I was about 11. We went to a beach near Auckland, where there were large rocks at the end of the beach behind which was a naturally filling tidal sandy pool, and as the waves hit the rocks they…

It looks like the new supplier is set up, I was able to use 'Claim Benefit' yesterday

You're lucky @Jimmy Seddon , we did a major migration 3 weeks ago and there are small issues that affect just one person out of 1.2 million and there are enough of them that our outsourced contact centre can't cope. But on the good side everyone who's having trouble with the contact centre is reporting it. But on the bad…

Until you've taken an unexpected Stag Beetle to the face while standing up to get a beer in a pub garden you've never known true bug related horror. We were doing a week long trip on the Thames on a friend's parent's cabin cruiser. We'd stopped on the final night and gone for a pub meal and drink, as it was getting dark.…

Thanks for putting this together @Jimmy Seddon

I'm using a small child for reminders, she can't remember what she did at school but she remembers anything I say, even if it's 4 years later

We have a farmers market within walking distance every Sunday, plus 2 more a short bus ride away, we also try and buy meat from local butchers who obtain their produce from local farms. Although living in London, local farms means 20+ miles away.

Those 3 are among my daughter's favourites (the junior versions of Carcassonne and Ticket tor Ride), so we play those regularly along with Game of Life.

Hi and welcome to the community @Akanksha Shukla

@Evan Fishman - Quely for Jira The question isn't normally “When are we actually going to hit our sprint commitments?” It's more like “Are we ever actually going to hit our sprint commitments?”

Chives Since they have hollow leaves we used to pick them and try and use them as straws before eating them. Later, as a mid-teenager, one of my friends used to pick them and then try to look 'cool' by pretending to smoke them, although nowadays there is a very different view on whether smoking is 'cool'!

Thanks for the update @Ahmud Auleear

It's been a while since putting down these goals, so it's time to follow up on progress (and get 🎉 Bonus points): I was going for Atlassian Certified Agile DevOps Specialist, which I now have after completing all 4 of: * Jira Essentials * Jira Board Configuration * Atlassian Cloud Foundations * Confluence Essentials I'm…

Congratulations @Gerusa Lobo

Hi @SilkeS More issues with linking accounts and profiles; my Atlassian certifications are displayed on my personal account profile, but since Tuesday or Wednesday they are no longer displayed on the profile for this account.

Thanks for expanding on that @Kevin Dickson it makes a lot of sense, I'm very much in favour of using what works, so although our general hierarchy is: * Theme * Initiative * Epic * Story | Task | Bug * Sub-Task We could easily change the names, after all they're only ways of grouping the work, in fact for our marketing…
-
Hi @Kevin Dickson One of the issues here is your use of the term 'correct hierarchy', and I'm not having a go at you for saying that; in your experience that is the hierarchy that you are used to and which makes sense for you. For others, like your Jira admin it may be different, especially since PI Planning etc. is part…

Hi @SilkeS For the progress on learning path activities it would be nice if we could reset the progress (or at least reset the questions at the end of each lesson) especially if revising before taking a certification and wanting to re-do questions without seeing previous answers

In that case literally just save the filter I mentioned, make sure that everyone who needs to see the board has view access to the filter and change the board filter to use that filter.

The information on the portal has been updated: NOTICE May 6, 2025: Atlassian is in the process of migrating vendors for the benefit T-shirt and orders cannot currently be processed. Please check back in two weeks for an update. We apologize for the delay.

Hi @Brandon Garrett Is there any reason for not using a filter? The simplest solution would be to create a new board in the same project with a saved filter as the source: Project = "MyProject" and IssueType = Epic
-
Yes @emilyhueg this is the same as adding a rule, unfortunately we all assumed you were using a company managed project rather than a team managed project, but for you the steps are: Add rule The result of doing this is:

AI suffers from a very simple issue: Garbage In, Garbage Out Where a human would recognise that something is daffodil right, an AI would tulip. In my example, the AI would rose recognise that every time I typed "not" without quotation marks it has been changed to the name of a flower, while a human pauses and wonders what…

Hi @Debanjan Banerjee It will depend on your project's workflow whether or not you are able to revert back to the original status. You may need to get your Jira admin to look at it for you. Another option is to clone the user story and use the new copy.
-
@Bill Sheboy , we have an Agile Information space in Confluence with a section for Jira / JSM settings which gets updated over time. This is also mirrored into the appropriate team spaces using excerpts / labels. In addition, since Jira is a Production environment, we have a CAB Change Type for changes to Jira settings,…

In your original images you showed Story Points on your work item layout, that is the one you need to be using:
