@Jimmy Seddon I have a Kindle and Kindle Unlimited so as soon as I finish one book I just download a new one and move on. The only downside of doing this is if I'm reading a series and I read the last available book but the series hasn't finished, or is never finished - here's looking at you George R. R. Martin!

Sorry to hear that @Dave Mathijs hope you and the rest of your family are ok

Unfortunately I don't have any photos of the house I first lived in in New Zealand, but this is my parent's house where I lived from the age of 7 (with my car), my 8 year old daughter loves going there and playing in the places I played at her age. We're not going to be able to visit them there much longer as they told us…

Have you tried using log action or a comment to see what the smart value {{#issue.customfield_10294.Manager}}{{Jira User.ID}}{{^last}}, {{/}}{{/}} is returning?
-
Hi @Ondrej Holubovsky If I'm reading this correctly, you have 2 automation rules: * Change the status of a ticket to in progress when a comment is added * Transition linked tickets when a ticket is transitioned What you want is for the second rule to run after the first rule, but this isn't happening. If I understand the…

Hi @Gerrit Wahlers Probably a silly question, but have you checked to make sure that one of the managers you're trying to add isn't actually an inactive user?
-
Hi @Josh Jordan , I think this is probably a bug since Jira is expecting either Story Points or Original Estimate rather than a custom field and the tooltip may not have been updated when custom fields were allowed for estimating, or the bug may be allowing you to select a custom field since the documentation only mentions…

Hi @Natarajan, Durai We normally get asked about this where tasks disappear on a Kanban board when Done tasks were set to Done more than 2 weeks ago. There is a way to change this so that Done tasks never disappear from the Kanban board, but then you run the risk of overloading the done column, so first try clicking on…

Welcome @Tom Zhu and thank you for the interesting introduction!
-
Congratulations @Chance Webb !
-
Welcome @Louis-Pier Alie - Okapya and thanks for your thoughts
-
Hi @Charlotte Ediker I do something similar, you don't need the lookup issues, create variable or even the branching conditions: Keep your trigger and IF statements but move your edit condition to directly after the IF and change it to Grandparent = {{issue.parent.parent.summary}}

@Ramesh Krishnan for completed sprints you can look in the reports section from the left sidebar and choose either velocity or sprint reports
-
@Ramesh Krishnan this includes the current sprint as well as upcoming sprints
-
Congratulations @Jimmy Seddon all that hard work paid off!

* Big Boss: ”Well it says here that you should do it, so don’t let me catch you cheating again, or I’ll call in the Scrum Police!” This highlights that Scrum is a framework to help deliver business value, and actually provides for good practice rather than prescribing a rigid way of thinking that must be followed.

Hi @Mary Kelly Work item keys are automatically assigned by Jira in the format "ProjectKey-NNNN" where NNNN is an incrementing number for each project. There is no way to set up the work item key in the format you've asked about ie. "ParentKey-NN" The simplest way to be able to view subtask keys would be to put…

How about modifying your workflow to add in a transition with a condition that Procurement Strategy Type is null which brings up a transition screen with Procurement Strategy Type on it (other transitions would also have to have a condition that Procurement Strategy Type is not null)
-
You could expand this to add your users to a group and subscribe the group to the filter. This would need to be set up by an org admin: https://support.atlassian.com/user-management/docs/create-groups/
-
You don't even need the IF statement, without it all that happens is that the task story points is set to 0 rather than none
-
Will the Procurement Strategy Type be the same for all the story-level issues under a Level 2 Epic?
-
-
Hi @Amanda TAY Rather than looking at subtasks and pushing story points up to Parents, why not try it the other way round? In your schedule JQL try something like: Project = MyProject and Type = Task and statuscategory != Done Then for your next condition use IF {{smartvalues}} condition {{issues.subtask.size}} does not…

Hi @Seenivasan K Jira issues can have 3 screens associated with them; Create, Edit and View: * Create Screen: Used to create the work item with a defined set of fields available * View Screen: A view that shows the fields associated with a work item * Edit Screen: Used to edit / update existing fields You can use the same…

For me personally, working asynchronously has meant taking meetings out of the calendar and letting people contribute when they have time. For example, before I joined my current company we had a Change Advisory Board (CAB) process where every fortnight there was a meeting with all the engineering team leads, department…
-
There are some good points here @Nazarii Sobchuk _Grandia Solutions_ We very rarely use a simple "What went well? What didn't go well? What should we change?" approach to our fortnightly sprint retros, instead I try and use targeted questions about different aspects of how we work and probably about once every 3 months the…

Hi @Laurynas Stoma I see the same thing sometimes, normally a page refresh fixes it but sometimes it lasts for a while but if I come back later it works ok, it feels like latency issues to the database
-
Hi @Praveen I'm not totally sure what you mean, can you please provide some further information? Ideally we would need to see a screenshot of your (1) your workflow and (2) the column set up of your board from the board config screen, e.g.: I suspect that someone has edited your workflow to change status names, but seeing…

Thanks @Patricia Modispacher _k15t_ I've never used blogs in Confluence (mostly due to our recently-left-the-company CTO 'disapproving') but I did have fun playing with Karma last week

Rather than a meme, I found this song in my downloads folder:
