@Hua Soon SIM _Akeles_ this looks correct to me. what I did to test this was set the scope to only my private space. ( I have notes that have never and will never be updated in there) and then I ran it so see if I got an email, and then I was able to also see what the email was going to look like before it went out to…

@Hua Soon SIM _Akeles_ looks good but without seeing individual ones, like what's in the email, and what's in the page branch I cannot be sure.

@Tami Dubi thanks for the well thought out comment. Yes I do use labels to rule out pages that won't need updated. These are most often pages using the insert page macro, because the content is being updated from the originating source. We dont use automation to update the ownership of a page. At the moment I work with…

@Debbie Jolley I am in a unique position, that I get to do confluence 40 hours a week, for a relatively small ammount of users. So I move pages from inactive users as they leave. If I couldn't always do that I would use an automation to handle those

@Stavros_Rougas_EasyApps Hey, thank you so much for reading and for sharing—it means a lot! I know it’s a bit of a deep dive, but my goal was to save others from the same headaches by putting everything in one place. Regarding page statuses: Automation does work for updating them. The challenge I ran into is that changing…

@Jonathan Smith absolutely. The multiple emails was the number one complaint I got from my colleagues when I started all of this. Some of our users own hundreds of pages, they don't have time to sift through that many emails.

If you are on Premium or enterprise you can send a batched email, Here is an article I just published that walks through this process in depth. https://community.atlassian.com/forums/Confluence-Cloud-Admins-articles/Keeping-Confluence-Content-Fresh-with-Automation/ba-p/3024065

thank you Ill look at this, I am on Premium.

Hello, This has moved. See my screenshots below then let me know if you have any questions. There is an i in a circle bottom right of the page, that opens details.

5 years later, and still they cant save a draft like the entire rest of the content? oof.

Wherever they're needed

when will you be adding the ability to transition a folder into a page?
-
@Filipi Lima the code barrel link you have given just says I do not have access. can you confirm if it is still not possible to copy weblinks from one issue to another using automation? and how about the links to confluence content?
-
incase anyone else who cannot figure out how to export the list of users finds this old thread, here are the directions: https://support.atlassian.com/organization-administration/docs/export-users-from-a-site/

yes you are on data center based on that photo. I am a cloud admin so I dont know much about Data center. I would say change your tags to data center, I know when I am looking for some questions to answer I scroll through looking for the cloud tag, and they probably do the same for the data center tag. I hope you find the…

Hello! It sounds like this may be a team space, Rather than a page. Can you confirm if it is just a single page, or if it is a space with multiple pages? If it is a Space in Confluence, you can see who the admin of that space is by clicking on "Space Settings" Then Selecting "Users" under "Space Access" and seeing who is…
-
Hello, I think I can help with this but I would like some more information here. When you say table to you mean like: When you say Folder do you mean like the folder in a the Content Tree, or like a folder in One Drive? What is happening when you try? Have you tried other links or just one link? Can you SS what is…
-
You can share the page publicly but the database would not be viewable by anyone who does not have access to it specifically. All permissions will work this way, imbedding any other Atlassian content via a smartlink will only show that content to those who have access to the original source.
-
Hi, I was just looking into this and it appears there was a bug causing this.but that was fixed this week. Can you try it again now and see if that is still an issue for you?
-
the ability to create a new space is a setting that the admin makes. In our Environment anyone used to be able to make a space, now only admins can make a space because it was just out of hand. You will want to talk to your Atlassian Admin. They will be able to work with you to either create a space for you, or give you…
-
The easiest way to achieve this is to just create a copy of the blueprint as a space template, edit it the wayyoud like and save it with a slightly different name.
-
even if you have a lot of questions, the former will work. heading makes the question larger than the answer so its easier to read through and seperate question from answer. Personally even if its 50 expands, I would use the expand for the answer. you do not have to put the question in the text of the expand though you can…

For this, I ask users to submit a Jira ticket for any changes in Confluence that would need my attention. in that ticket they can put the link to the page, and an explanation. It also has the added bonus of being easily trackable work.
-
when in edit mode, on any confluence page, if you click the image there is a spot under the image to put text. See where it says " Add a Caption" Is this what you are looking for? I added a caption and exported to be sure and it does show up.
-
No, they will not see anything they do not have access to. It acts like it does not exist for users with no access. Keep in mind that if they dont have access they also will not have access to any children pages either.
-
If I understand your question here, the answer is yes. you can create a group and then only give that group access to the space you are intending them to have access to. I do wonder what the use case for this is, however. Managing groups can get to be a bit much when you have a lot of them, and there may be an easier way…

I know that this is possible, maybe not through API, Im not sure of the specifics. but I know for ours, it scans and adds the admins to every space, and I believe will add admins back if they are removed as well. I am not the one who wrote this script however, so I am going to ask my coworker to take a look at this…

Agreed, I would be willing to answer more questions if I were not assaulted by the brightness whenever I open Atlassian Community.

Hi! Great Questions. I can help with the First part. And Ill try with the second part. If you navigate to Confluence Administration > Configuration > Global Templats and Blueprints > Scroll to the bottom > Select Edit next to Default Space Content You can change the Bluprint applied to spaces in which you choose "Custom"…

You can prevent Confluence from automatically converting text to emoticons by disabling Autoformatting in your user profile You do this by selecting your picture in the top right - selecting Personal Settings. - select Editor - check Disable Autoformatting.
