Nice work, Bret. I hadn't realized the standard search bar skips comments, which explains a few "I know someone mentioned that somewhere" moments. Putting the whole thing in a bookmark is a clever way around it, with nothing to install and easy to tweak. The p:, w:, j: and r: prefixes are a great touch too. Thanks for…

Thanks, really appreciate the admin perspective. It matches what we hear from DC customers: the move itself is usually manageable, but proving the cloud setup meets the same compliance bar takes the time. A couple of things we see come up a lot: Every app in the stack has to pass the same security review, so vendor…

@Kelsey Van Scoy I can't. It says they don't exist as tags. The one I entered was the only one I could get it to accept. I seem to remember the same problem last year and the year before. Are you able to enter the devops and collab tags. Regards Paul

Hi David For the Jira data center version of Watch It it does have it's own custom field. To set it up you do the following: * Create a custom field on type "Watch It - Watchers Field" * Add the custom field to the appropriate create screens of the create issue page. Once that is done, the user can then enter users in the…

In case anyone is interested, we have an app called Watch It that allows you to add a Watchers field to the create issue page. The app has very similar functionality as the Jira Watcher plugin for the data center app and a smaller subset of the functionality for the cloud version. This is a paid for app and available for…

Hi, if anyone is still looking I have an App called Watch It that allows you to watch components in a project and to add watchers during issue creation. It is available on Jira server, data center and cloud. You can check it out at: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1213851/watch-it-for-jira Regards Paul

@Alex Koxaras -Relational- Thanks. There isn't currently any condition/validation/PF support but it would be handy to have. I'll add it to the to-do list. Thanks for the idea.

Why do you have a "View Projects" permission giving access to one project when it indicates multiple? Shouldn't that be "View Project" (especially if we are trying to reduce confusion)
-
The change mentioned above is only for server and data center

Hi Chris, not sure if you are interested but there is a paid for app called "Comment Security Default" that handles the defaulting for you. You can specify the different defaults for new Comments and comments in the edit issue, log work, assign and transition dialogs. Also to make users aware of the default you can set the…

Hi Simon SorrySo am not aware of any confluence apps for comment history and I'm not working on a confluence version of comment history Thanks Paul
-
Hi Astrid The plugin should be working for JIRA Agile and comments created within the agile story board. Sorry for missing this earlier but the add-on tag is missing a "t" (should be addon-com.redmoon.jira.comment.security-default). Let me know if you have any problems. Thanks Paul
-
Hi, I realise you have found your answer but for others looking for an answer where they don't have to edit files or want a project level default then I have a paid plugin in the marketplace called comment security default (https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.redmoon.jira.comment-security-default). This allows…

Hi Francis, Version 1.9.0 of the Comment Security Default now has the ability to color comments depending on if the comment is viewable to all users or for all other restrictions.
-
Hi Francis. Just taking a look at this again. How would you anticipate that the plugin would know if a comment is visible to the customer. Would this just be when "Viewable to All Users" is selected?
