I think you have run into this limitation: https://support.atlassian.com/cloud-automation/docs/limitations-in-team-managed-projects-for-automation-rules/ User picker fields in Team managed projects can't be set in automations. Are you a Jira admin? If you create a standard user picker custom field for Manager name and use…

Ok, I am more used to Company managed, thats all. So can you not find your manager name field in the automation if you just use the edit issue action? This is a test (from my company managed test project)

Hi @Vanessa Scherstrom , Do I understand you correctly that when the request is created you want to: 1. assign the request to the user picked in the field "Manager name" 2. also have the manager be the approver of the request. In order to be assigned to a ticket the user needs to have an agent license. Maybe this is not…

Hi there Upgrade to Jira Service Management premium to unlock the Asset management feature, In Assets you can create a CMDB and use it in jira software tickets as well. One thing to keep in mind is that Schema developers and managers needs to have a JSM license. br Lisa

Hi @Aditya Mohanty , I believe this will do the trick...but be sure to limit it with conditions to ensure it not get out of hand. Also remember that links have a direction (Clones vs is Cloned by) and look closely on the cloning routine to ensure this is really fulfilling the need. All the best /Lisa

Hi @ANTONIO GABRIEL LOMEÑA MORENO , Welcome to the community! Since there is no way to identify who a user is that is just reaching the portal you can't provide them with previously created requests just by When you set your portal to "Open" instead of "Restricted" it means that the portal can be reached by anonymous users…
-
HI @Lokesh Siddappa , I have had the same need in the past and I have never been able to solve it nice enough so I am too curious if there are other ideas out here on how this can be solved. What type of field are you using for product & "dimensions"? is it a cascading field or a select list field? I see you are on…
-
Hi @Nana , Welcome to the community! I see two options: 1. If you are using the default Description field in Jira the Jira admin cannot actually delete it. The Jira admin can hide the Description field in more than one way: * Removing it from the view screen. Adding it back to the screens will make it appear again. *…

Hi @Ryan Bullock , Are you trying to update an object in Assets or are you trying to fetch objects in a custom field (application?) on the incident/change? Could you screenshot your automation and your Asset Schema please? I am curious to see the relationship between affected services and application. br Lisa
-
Absolutely @Natasja Eloff , you can keep your employee record in Assets and skip the integrations to other directories. Same improvements can be achieved with automations.

I also recorded a Loom for this https://www.loom.com/share/8ee1e0bf922347c1a2045d111ab5c1a0

Hi @James Mehlman , Welcome to the community! To create groups you need to go to Settings > User management > Groups br Lisa

Hi @mirey , Welcome to the community! Its normal that IT operations work in a separate project than for example People Operations /HR. I have set up Jira service management for the onboarding and access request purpose many a times :-) I can see a few obstacles with trying to "match up" tickets in project B and project A…

Hi @Nickolas N , Welcome to the community! Yes you can create company management project on Standard Plan, you do not need to upgrade to Premium (even though premium contain more features) You will not be billed per project, you can create as many projects as you like. br Lisa

I am doing a similar thing, but I am using an automation to attach the additional form, not the workflow. Also you should be able to avoid havoc playing by adding the "Service Project Customer - Portal Access" to the security level. take care Lisa

Hi @Davide Cascapera , I've had this need too...but the domain based restrictions is not at the project level. Found this feature request https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSDCLOUD-8644 best regards Lisa

Hi @Myles Boyd, I second @Rik de Valk _Brainboss_ on the solution. Utilise Assets! * Establish a list of Hardware and Software in Asset * Create an asset field for the hardware (make it multiselect) * Create an asset field for the software (make it multiselect) * Create a Form that contains these fields (in settings - Keep…

Hi @Joe Johnson , In one of my clients sites we automatically communicate to senior stakeholders as soon as the toggle goes on so the consequence of toggling it on by mistake is quite large. We landed on the fact that it is important that operations should have the toggle close at hand, and that it is more important to…

Hi @Emma Gunning , Welcome to the community! Yes I believe this can be achieved Use the "Schedule" trigger in the Automation. Let it run like once every night and finding the tickets based on a JQL When: Scheduled (on the interval of your choice) with JQL "Due date" <= now() and Status = "appointment booked" Action:…

Hi @João Rita , Welcome to the community! Yes all Assets have an activity tab so for your laptop XPT that have changed f ex the attribute owner, you will be able to see that in the history See my dummy example below all the best Lisa

Possible workarounds? 1) use validations in Jira to ensure the data is completely filled 2) Have a two step approach in the automations. Step one: Create the object with the fields you know will always be populated Step two: If field X is populated, then action "update object" to complete those attributes of the object.…

Hi, I think I know what you're after. The sprint report will list all issues going in to sprint (ie "prioritised") and then split these prioritised issues by - completed - not completed - removed from sprint Then as an addition you will get the asterix which displays the issues that have been added to sprint after (= they…

I can't see a Jira user attribute on your object on the second screenshot. See an example here: Pio has a article for how to automatically map user objects with their jira user attribute: https://piosoftware.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/WS/pages/22937661/Mapping+Azure+AD+Entra+ID+Users+with+Jira+Users+and+Jira+Groups br Lisa
-
Hi @Chandra Mouli , I think I know what you are looking for. The user object of the license owner (Test3) needs to have an attribute for their jira account, otherwise the automation would not know where to send the email. What have you used to sync Azure AD to Assets? Any of the pio importer addons? br Lisa
-
Hi @eugen_raschow , If I were you I would investigate what automations are running in your project. Look at the automation panel of an example issue br Lisa
-
Hi @[deleted] , Hm do you mean the committed issues when sprint is starting or before going into sprint planning in which the team decides what's going into the sprint? sprint in futureSprints() would give you the issues that are added to a sprint but the sprint is not started yet, but as soon as it starts then the JQL…

Hi @Silje Falch Welcome to the community. What kind of projects are you working with? There are a few tricks to try to get it as translated as possible: 1. Default language on your site (settings> system > default language) 2. All statuses can be translated. If you have default language english you can add norwegian…
-
Hi @Wayne Yang , You seem to be on the Free Cloud plan. Check out the Jira service management premium plan in which you have the Asset feature. When you have Assets you can also utilise addons to sync in users and devices from other sources all the best Lisa
-
HI @Stefan Larsen Welcome to the community! I think you should create a Jira Service Management project with the HR template to get going. It is shipped with 7 common request types and it will serve as a good start. Of course you can add and remove request types, fields and also tailor the workflows to your needs.…

Hi @Fabio Cerullo Question is if you have Jira Service management premium? Premium is bundled with Assets which is exactly what you describe; a database within Jira :-) Here you can create and design your own HR database and link objects (employee records) to issues in Jira (events) Look into if your company have an AD…
