Helpful article, thank you. Do you know if there is any way to make the portfolioChildIssuesOf function a dynamic filter on dashboards? In my project, we have Features as a top level type, then Epic, then Task. I have manually set up filters on a dashboard to fetch all child issues of specific Features, but it would be a…

Update: I unwatched all my created tickets, changed every notification settings I could find, and I'm still inundated with notifications. Clearly something changed Jira side?
-
I did. But why did these notifications start being sent when we didn't touch our settings?
-
Super old thread but confirming that this actually works, as using "NOT worklogDate() > startOfDay()" isn't reliable for some reason.
-
@Anne Saunders thanks, so do I now if I re-embed them! Though now databases cannot be embedded inside of folds or tables (so you can have them next to each other)....
-
Wow, it did exactly what I wanted. I had to go back and forth a few times to refine it and correct some display issues, but it got there in the end. Thank you very much @Tomislav Tobijas I had no idea this was available.
-
Hi Tobi, I'm open to third party apps, but not willing to spend money just to display this information. I was hoping a custom ratio might do it, but can't see a way to input data myself rather than track dynamic issue data. There's a few widgets to show custom countdowns, it's a shame none can do this simple job.
-
Still no clean database embed here, has anyone got this change in their spaces?
-
@Yashodip Jadhav I am using the standard Jira worklog function. The time shows on the parent task solely because I have ticked 'Include subtask', but it seems to just be a UI indicator, it does not edit the Time Spent value on the main task. If I use ∑ Time Spent, it does not recognise logs on the main task. For some…

@Christina Ristevski Are these changes shipped altogether or one at a time? My site now has rich text and swimlanes, but the embedded databases still look the same.
-
Hi, this sounds helpful to visualise prioritisation & dependencies between features, we've had to use whiteboard software recently. However I'd rather not share my site URL publicly, can it be DMed / sent in a form instead?
-
Hi, same problem here. Our workaround is to embed the whole database, then edit the link to the desired row of the table. @Arkadiusz Wroblewski is it working for you now? It seems to be a problem with Atlassian rather than anything we can solve.
-
@Christina Ristevski can you give us an update on this? It's still very much needed to use large databases
-
That's great, though can we not create stand-up set-ups in advance? I have several teams using the same board, so right now I would have to manually select each person in the stand-up before starting the meeting.
-
Beyond the fact that this change is horrendous for all the reasons mentioned in the 8 pages of comments above... I just found out about this change after it was rolled out to my product. I follow Atlassian's updates as closely as I can and I didn't see this announcement at all. This kind of change needs to be communicated…

@Tami Dubi Because I want a report with decisions in Confluence and not all of them lead to Jira tasks.
-
+1 for the ability to freeze columns, it's hard to use big databases right now because of it.
-
"In fact, nearly 3 million users are now using the new navigation, and fewer than 1% have chosen to opt out." I don't know if that really means 2.9M people are happy with it, considering everyone will have to adopt it sooner or later. Opting out only delays the inevitable, doesn't it? These users simply have bitten the…

This is still a very annoying issue. two years later. Anyone know a workaround?
-
Confluence struggling to load / loading error pages (code: jg306i) in the UK. Our team cannot work with our documentation inaccessible.
-
Thanks, that works. I would argue Ctrl+V into multiple cells should also work to mimic every other spreadsheet program but at least there is a workaround.
-
Hi @Bill Sheboy , thank you that worked perfectly. I wasn't sure how variables worked but that solved the issue. For anyone else reading, it did not remove prior labels and it only added the current sprint as label, even if the issue had been in several sprints before.
-
@Jenn Sherman would you mind sharing how you set up your automation?
-
Is there any way to use the new labels with a coloured background rather than the ones with the coloured outline? It really decreases visibility of issue status now.
-
@Utkarsh Agarwal thanks for your reply, you're onto something. I do find it odd that it would list Epic first then Feature, when in my project hierarchy I have another type first, then feature, then epic. I guess only epics and features are hard coded to be at the top.
-
@Saiprasad Sankaranarayanan did you ever figure out how to do this?
-
Same here, extremely useful feature but almost all the fields I want to hide can't be. Any reason for only allowing some fields to be hidden?
-
Thanks for confirming this @Danut M _StonikByte_ . I can't turn off time tracking because my team still finds it useful. It looks like the gadget is bugged. I am actually already trialling the Great Gadgets app, so I will be using that instead.
-
Hi @Nic Brough -Adaptavist- when I check the report section and select burndown chart, it displays the correct information with story points. It's only the dashboard gadget that doesn't work as it should.
-
Did you ever find a solution for this? I'm trying to build a dashboard and I don't think I can put a JQL query as statistic type.
