Use it while you can! 🙁

@Inactive Stephen the "what did you change?" comments have been removed in the new editor on Cloud, so that's no longer a viable ongoing solution.

I'm not sure how you deal with this using the Page Properties Report macro. I've previously build a customisation to deal with this issue - it generated a report by polling the API in batches. The results were then displayed in a single table, which include additional dynamic filters so you didn't need to page through the…
-
There are likely a couple of ways of doing this using a combination of standard macros, like the Include Page Macro, page naming conventions, and a custom User Macro to dynamically set the macro parameters to retrieve the appropriate task, domain, and version pages. How were intending to pass the task, domain, and…

If you are trying to do this using the Atlassian Companion app, then unfortunately this won't work. It would be better to create a master page (not a template) and then get users to copy it.
-
Ah! Like Onlyoffice or GoEdit maybe? (I'm not sure what dependencies they have)
-
Don't know if this will satisfactorily answer your concerns, but in a summary from an AMA with Atlassian's Chief Information Security Officer he said: On Australia’s Assistance and Access Act and what that means for Atlassian customers: The law was written in such a broad fashion that it effects all of the major cloud…
-
This isn't possible, as Atlassian doesn't currently distinguish between what you consider to be external and internal users. Anonymous users are just that, unless you license them as named users.
-
You'll need to attach it to a page in a space, then link to it from the template.
-
I'm seeing this too - it appears on blogposts published using the old editor, so could be something related to backwards compatibility but having said that, it doesn't look like it was something that was intended or is ready to be released so could be a mistake. Maybe @Avinoam can shed some light on this?
-
Confluence should be quite happy to do this, assuming you have the capacity to host it on your server. But you said: * We currently can't (reasons still unknown) upload (to our Confluence server (version 6.15.6 by the way) any .mp4 over about 25Mb (approx. 2 minutes). Do you mean you haven't changed the default attachment…

No, its not a bug... I recently discussed that same issue here https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Confluence-questions/How-to-create-this-folder-structure-in-a-page-space/qaq-p/1154327
-
There are some Office 365 related apps in the marketplace to help you achieve this.

@John Dunkelberg I think it would be pretty tricky for Atlassian to write something definitive and convincing on this topic. However, your question reflects a widespread challenge that most enterprise-size organisations aren't 100% aligned with a single vendor. Some of the consulting work I do is specifically about…
-
Choice would be great. I suspect, from a support and support documentation perspective, they'll want a single UI pattern. However, I would actually like more options to customise the Cloud UI than is currently supported by themes - maybe not as extreme as server but more flexibility than we currently have.
-
Actually another way to do this in your case is to create a space for contractors. Copy the pages you want to share into that space, but don't delete the original pages. Use the Include Page macro to mirror the content from the contractor space back to each of the the original pages - this way, your users can continue to…
-
But you could collapse the sidebar before?
-
I'd agree this is probably the easiest approach if you want to use page permission, as it keeps it simple. The only issue might be if having two groups of pages will make it difficult to navigate for the employee users.
-
Page permissions are the only way to achieve this, but as @Muhammad Ramzan_Atlassian Certified Master_ points out it could be tricky to manage and you might need to be combined with the Include Page and Excerpt Include macros. You could try Visibility for Confluence, but this will only work if they have read access and you…
-
The Include Page and Excerpt Include macro still respect permissions, so this will only work if the 'contractor' user also has access to the source spaces as well. But this means they will be able to browse all the other content anyway.
-
Just to clarify, I don't work for Atlassian - I'm just a long time user. Completely agree it would be great to have absolutely no constraints on how you name and organise content in Confluence. Unfortunately Atlassian evaluated this idea back in 2011 (after it was raised back in 2005!) and argued that the technical changes…

If you look through the history of enhancement requests for Confluence, you will find you aren't the first person to ask for this feature! However, it is important to realise that Confluence doesn't store your pages in a hierarchy / folder structure, so the unique name requirement is a legacy of that approach. Instead, it…

Try copying and pasting the image instead. The instructions are out of date because Atlassian is in the process of introducing a new editor, which has changed how files and images are added to a page.…

Each page within a space needs a unique name.

If you split up the table, then you might be able to make use of the Content by Label macro (e.g. use a label for each ID) or the Page Properties and Page Properties Report macros. There are some CRM solutions in the marketplace that might solve for your example…

That could work, but bear in mind that the usage in Cloud isn't retrospective (unless Atlassian have changed how the analytics works, now that the add-on is part of their premium offering, although it still probably wouldn't capture views from the past).
