Oh sorry! I did not pay enough attention to the tags on this question. Yes my answer is for cloud No lookup tables on DC indeed so you will have to do an if/else for each different status

Hi all! I've been using JSM since it existed (JSD previously). I'm glad to see how it has evolved from a plugin to a full blown and mature ITSM solution today. I'm here to participate in discussion and answer questions :-)

Hi! We are still saying Twitter right :-) I wonder if it is related to changed in Twitter/ X regarding API's. Someone from Atlassian also mentioned a bug in this answer https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Statuspage-questions/Twitter-integration-not-working/qaq-p/2428787. The bug is not publicly available unfortunately so…

Hi @Roshna and welcome to the Atlassian community! What kind of changes are you looking for? Changes from change tickets in Jira or changes Atlassian is rolling out on Atlassian Cloud?

What is the trigger for your automation rule? sprint can return multiple sprint so you might have to use something like {{sprint.endDate.last.jiraDate}} as explained in this answer. However I think it should be {{sprint.last.endDate.jiraDate}}

In theory epics are for multiple user stories. So you shouldn't use this to group design, development and testing of a single US. Personally I think design and testing should be part of the US (especially testing). Testing a new feature is often part of the definition of done. Sub-tasks will be annoying because they are…

Hi and welcome to the Atlassian Community! What you are trying to do is not possible I'm afraid. It has been requested in this open feature request: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-72469

Hi George, welcome to the Atlassian Community! It has been a while since I performed a fresh install of Jira. But doesn't it show you a field to manually enter the license? You could copy the license from https://my.atlassian.com/ to the machine without internet. There is also a way to enter the license directly in the…

Yes you can! Here is how I would do it. I assume you want to sync statuses between linked issues but that part is not very important for my example. * Your trigger will be issue transitioned without any from and to status. * Create a lookup table action for your status mapping (screenshot) The table is called statusTable…

Hi Kelly, Could you share a screenshot please? I'm not sure if I understand what you are seeing.

Hi Henning, Jira automations can be triggered from a POST request: https://support.atlassian.com/cloud-automation/docs/jira-automation-triggers/#Automationtriggers-Incomingwebhook The problem is you need to porvide the issue keys in the payload. If you can extract the issue key from a commit message in Azure Devops you…
-
Hi Henning, In short you need to have the Jira issue key and if Azure Devops is able to perform a PUT request you can update a custom field on the Jira issue. This is assuming you use Azure Devops for your code and builds and Jira for issue tracking? How are you linking the pull requests with the Jira issues? Last time I…

Hi Chris! What you need in theory is a wildcard search where you can put the wildcard in front of your keyword. Like this: text ~ "*example.net" Unfortunately Jira's search engine does not support wildcards as first character. You will get: '*' and '?' are not allowed as first character in wildcard query. If this is a 1…

I personally never developed a Jira Data Center plugin but there are some guidelines about this: https://developer.atlassian.com/server/jira/platform/developing-for-high-availability-and-clustering/ Perhaps the developer community will be a better help: https://community.developer.atlassian.com/

Not me but I'm curious about what you'd like to manage with Jira for your home? I have seen people using Trello which is more light-weight and often more convenient than a full blow Jira project for simple TODO lists.

You want to make sure people do not start working on a ticket when an older ticket is still unassigned? Ik kanban a general rule is that users pick the top most item in the column and start working on that one. It is only a best practise. I'm not sure how you would enforce it technically. Blocking the assignment won't be…

Hi @Naresh Kumar Kethavath Did you manage to construct the regexes properly? We're trying to do the same.

Hello! First question: does you workflow allow status transitions to all statuses? Secondly: your transition action will not work. You chose "copy from issue" but the "issue" in scope is the actual issue that was created. What you are doing here is copy the status from the current issue and transition it the the same…

Hi! No OpsGenie is not an full ITSM tool on its own. The main focus in alerting and on-call management. It does not have a portal where users can raise requests, no SLAs, etc. The incidents in OpsGenie are good for internal usage when you link alerts with incidents. But if you want to serve a user base you should use Jira…

I don't think you can have a space after the "=" in JRE_HOME= /usr/lib/jvm/jre-11-openjdk/bin/java Can you remove it and try again? If it's still not working I will take a more in-depth look :-)

That JQL will not take into consideration holidays. If you are on Jira Service Management you could configure an SLA for this. SLA's support calendars where you can add holidays. In the JQL you filter for the SLA being almost breached and add the comment. If you are not on Jira Service Management I'm afraid it won't be…

I'm aftaid you can't in. Here is the feature request: BCLOUD-10471

Do you use the organizations in your project? Because that setting means users can only view users in the same organization. I'm not sure why the "Any customer or organization" option is not available to you.

I assume you are following the Bamboo wizard in your browser to make the connection to the database? This will always try to create a new Bamboo instance on an empty database. Instead you should manually set your database configuration in the bamboo.cfg.xml file and point it to the right DB. The easiest way is to copy the…

This sounds quite advanced for Jira cloud to handle and I'm not aware of any apps that can process the contents of email attachments. Ideally your process the xml outside of Jira and perform a REST API call to create the ticket.

Hi! You might be happy to hear Atlassian is rolling out a custom domain option for the customer portal. You can read about it in the weekly blog post: Atlassian Cloud changes Aug 21 to Aug 28, 2023 Search for Add a custom domain for your help center. I'm not sure if you'll be able to solve your reverse proxy issue. And…

Here is the general page for Jira Cloud's REST API documentation: https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/jira/platform/rest/v3/intro/ In the navigation bar menu on the right you can open the api docs for specific things. You're probably looking for Issues where you'll find Create Issue. If you want to use the Jira Service…

Hello! Team calendars is bundled with Confluence Data Center since version 7.11. You don't need a license for it. See: How to get Team Calendars bundled with an existing Data Center instance

Hi! By coincidence I was looking this up yesterday. The users in the field that are visible to other users depend on the sharing settings of your JSM project. Sometimes they can only see users in the same organization. Here is a similar post with the answer. And the official Atlassian documentation.

Hi! I'm sorry I did not get back to your question sooner but I couldn't. That's script is indeed what I had in mind. I'm glad you sorted it out! While separate build tasks are easier to setup sometimes scripts are more powerful (and easier to migrate if you would ever move away from Bamboo).
