Wouldn't running a Regex to delete empty p tags take care of it? Run things maybe in this order: * Manually find the br tags in heading tags and delete * Search and delete all span tags * The S/R br tags with </p><p> * Search for and delete all empty p tags (and maybe h tags)

Hello Robert, I suggest removing the span tags as it overrides Confluence styling. Basically it is philosophical/best practices issue. In order to keep the formatting of documents consistent within Confluence, I remove these low-level formatting overrides. If you need some special formatting, I believe it is better to wrap…

Is <h.>/s+</h.> a typo? It should be <h.>\s+</h.> A slicker version that deletes empty and p and h tags, try this: <[ph]\d*>\s+<\/[ph]\d*> But looking at the code, here is the offending structure: <h2><span style="color: rgb(0,47,90);">Grafiken für directfax verfügbar machen<br /></span></h2> Here the break tag should be…

Sure, I wonder if you are clearing out all tags with your regex. Does your regex account for class names for example. If it doesn't, you could end up with open tags. As an example, the following regex will clear out all span tags, both opening and closing with any number of attributes, in one go: </?span.*?> If you are…

Well maybe this is a job for the web proxy, set up redirection there. For example, using mod_rewrite rules. That would be far easier to set up and respond more quickly.

I was thinking about something similar (I think) regarding having variables with the mutliexcept macro, so that I could have the same description appear multiple places, but replace the product name as appropriate. My thinking on how to solve this (short asking the vendor to implement, or provide access to the source code…

This sounds like what happens when people copy and paste content from another HTML view of either a Confluence or web page. Sometimes, I have seen this happen with Word imports. At any rate, I have saved a set of ReGex expression that I can use to clean up a page. Or you have to highlight all text and clear format, and…

I am not sure what the exact answer is but the call you are making convertWikiToStorageFormat(token, content) is not for attachments, but for converting page content. The script was developed some time ago, and originally just output to wiki markup (old Confluence format), the method above converts that wiki markup to the…

IRC, there was a page redirect macro within Confluence, but was recently deprecated. I see on the marketplace that someone has jumped in to fill that void: redirection-for-confluence
-
The multi-excerpt macro is available for the cloud. It is probably not installed on your cloud instance. Follow the link in here to download and install.
-
An (untested/unverified) solution could be to spin up a local server instance of Confluence. Then develop and test your user macro there. Then package the macro as a plugin, so that it can be installed in the cloud. I am not sure what would prevent you from using this method.
-
Are you saying that you want the macro to display new content dynamically and not require a page refresh? If so, that is not possible. Or are you saying that a page with a matching label is not appearing in the macro, even after page refresh?
-
A simple, your Lordship, would suffice. ;-)
-
Are you copying the table from the HTML view of the Confluence page? Then pasting that version into an Outlook email?
-
You verified that the image files referenced are indeed attached to the page: * Alice Ferrari.png * Passport Photo Alice Ferrari.jpg If they are attached to another page, then they need to be reinserted to point to the source page.
-
In a word, no. The contents of the Include macro are render on the page before the page is displayed. Here is how the page code appears <div class="conf-macro output-block" data-hasbody="false" data-macro-name="include"> [include page content] </div> So no parameter to reset.
-
Here are the high-level steps. The easiest way to start is create a page with you links an formatting, then look at the storage format to extract the XHTML of the macro settings. This code will form the basis for your macro. Assuming you don't want a static list, you can replace any of the parameters in the link macros…

If you are running the server version and it is not behind a firewall, then yes. You just assign a subdomain of your domain name to point to the IP address of your Confluence server. If you are on cloud, then no. See this (still open) request CLOUD-6999 Yet another plus for the server version. ;-)

Antworte ich auf English, da es schneller ist. There is a commercial plug in here: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1213755/macro-usage?hosting=server&tab=overview
-
Why do you want to embed Confluence? My suggestion would be to just have it as a subdomain (e.g., confluence,example.com or help.example.com), then work on branding to give it a similar appearance to your website -- works much better.
-
Or you can use my approach: * Set up the new version of Confluence on a new server (fresh install). * Do a site export/backup of the your old server. * Re-import into the new server. * Update DNS to point to the new server. This method has some advantages: * If it does not go well, you still have the old server running. *…

Well you can set confluence-users to have view only rights. But they could still copy text from the HTML view of the page.
-
Yeah, the free source editor has that limitation, Not sure about the commercial version. I have also done the same thing for more complex routines, copying back and forth between notepad++ and Confluence. In Regex, it works for find, but you cannot use it for replace. And it does take a while to come up to speed on it.…

Starting from back to front: Transferring content * Cloud does it make a bit more difficult, but you should be able to copy all on the server view of the page in edit mode and paste into a new page (server to server I would go the the source code view to do this). * The other way is to do all of your work in a special…
-
There are two problems with that solution: * It may get stripped by Confluence at some point * Requires a lot of manual effort. A more durable solution would be a user macro to apply a class to all the contents of the body's macro, then you can have the CSS styling in the space/global stylesheet.
-
What pixel width are the images set to? In the past, I have seen that when images are sized to something like 250 pixels or less, the will appear blurry.
-
Well you have to perform this task on the source for the page (XHTML) and not in the normal view. And the free source editor supports RegEx which is really helpful as you will get tags with additional classes, IDs, style, etc. (even for </br>). A lot easier to search for <br.+?> then all the combinations. ;-) As far as the…
-
In short, no. This is philosophical difference in that Confluence being HTML based and not a word processor. And Confluence chose to have items like spacing set by CSS at the global/space level. The editor just doesn't support this kind of local formatting control. My suspicion is that you are pasting in carriage returns…

I vaguely remember discussions that .renderConfluenceMacro was being deprecated (or at least no longer present in the velocity context), in favor for: convertStorageToView('<ac:structured-macro ac:name="cheese"></ac:structured-macro>;')<br> It may be that either issues with that method or deprecation of the wiki markup for…
-
I assume you are trying to do this as a user macro? If so, I would take the other route and just configure the storage code version of the Include macro: <ac:structured-macro ac:name="include" ac:schema-version="1"> <ac:parameter ac:name=""> <ac:link> <ri:page ri:content-title="$paramPageName"/> </ac:link> </ac:parameter>…
