Are you on Cloud or Server? If the later, you could use a user macro to not allow wrapping ## Macro title: No Wrap ## Developed by: Bill Bailey, MarketCom, LLC ## Date created: 2016.06.13 ## Version 1.1 ## @noparams <span class="nowrap" style="white-space: nowrap;"> $body </span> Then you can insert that macro, adding…

Yes, I have the seen annoyance. What is happening (don't know why) is that the end of paragraphs are getting a </br> tag. Maybe this is a Confluence bug? How I handle this is using the confluence-source-editor, then edit the page, and using RegEx find, replace all </br> with </p><p> tags. If you have a long misbehaving…

If this is a generic issue (often is), then update the site or space CSS. Every install I do, I update the CSS to fix spacing issues, make H1 more distinctive, control spacing when an H2 follows and H1 ....

I just use the browser extension (also in Firefox). That way, I can highlight a section of text and get an answer. Otherwise you may be waiting years and years before Atlassian rolls it out (especially if there is a browser solution today).
-
I assume you are saying you want to also customize what now has the text of "Collapse"? If so, there is no parameter for that; it is built in. You would have to use a workaround like javascript on the page to rewrite that title, or write your own macro.
-
Well a bit more complex. You need three groups: * confluence-users (the default, but I mention it as it may not be obvious that all users have to be a member of this group. This group is then never included (meaning remove it) in any of the space permissions. * internal group - a group that has access to all of Confluence…

Did you try the workarounds listed on the page you linked to? I seriously doubt anyone has made such a plugin, and of course, not sure Atlassian would sanction such a plugin as it might be viewed as a way around paying for more licenses. The other solution might be to use a REST call to the page to bring over the content…
-
Well it is a bit involved. But here are the very broad steps: * Set up a server instance of Confluence (can be local on your machine) for testing. * Develop and test your user macro on the test instance (installing as a normal user macro). * Install the Atlassian SDK and create the plugin skeleton * Insert the user macro…

It does, but may be easier to get an admin to add a user macro than to open something flagged as a potential security risk. ;-)
-
It might be, if an admin will enable it. But it is often disabled due to security concerns. Also with a user macro, you can change the macro (style, function, etc,), and have it update all instances. With the HTML macro option, you have to manually update all instances. Here is the macro: ## Macro title: Phone Number ##…

You should be able to add a user manually, but they have to have an email address. Otherwise, they are never accessible to the system (found out when the email address was left off a record).
-
Looks like someone else is having that issue https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Confluence-questions/Confluence-Encoding-issues/qaq-p/939546?utm_source=atlcomm&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=digest_notification&utm_content=topic And just an hour after you.
-
My understanding is that you cannot have user macros in Confluence Cloud. You may be able to package the macro as a plugin and get around it that way.
-
Yes, I'll get you something tomorrow.
-
Or if the HTML macro is not enabled, you could write a user code to insert the same kind of link in the page, with the one parameter being the phone number.
-
Not that I am aware of, but you could do something similar with importing a Word document. Basically create you hierarchy of pages, then depending on where you want to break pages, select that level of heading to split on import. For example, you could split at H3s, and then H1s would define the grandparent, and H2s would…

If I remember correctly, everyone has to be a member of Confluence-users. So you need to have two sub groups, one for internal users and one for external users. Then you set your home space to ONLY be visible to the internal (and have to check all other spaces). If this doesn't help, then please provide a screenshot of…

The funny thing about the article is it gives lots of evidence that it doesn't matter how many you have, just that the first one should be relevant to the content. But later, she reverts to a long-held belief that you should only have one. ;-) This "rule" came from a time before search (and pages) were far less…
-
I think that the "only one h1 heading on page" for SEO is bogus, or rather leftover from earlier search algorithms -- a holdover from years ago. Google can find content wherever it is. Headings help, but more to the readers to understand the flow of content. Take a look at this article for some background…

The link you referenced was adding the macro to all pages by modifying the layout. Where you want to add a macro only to specific pages, you probably need to write a script (for example, using Python) that updates each of these pages using the REST API. You can see some examples here rest. If you are not familiar with…
-
If you are talking about user macros, you have three choices: * Add your formatting inline with your macro code * Add a style sheet to your user macro * Add custom class names to your user macro code. Then add custom CSS to the global/space style sheet.
-
Your issue is probably related to this bug CONFSERVER-33616
-
Your options are (if you want images as attachments): * Download the images from the page, attach to the page and insert them manually. * Paste the page first into Word, then import that Word document.
-
I guess I am confused as to what docupedia has to do with Confluence?
-
Me too. I spent a fair amount of time writing a user macros with settings, only to have to break it up in to a number of smaller macros. My guess is the same as yours: that the report macro is looking at the storage view of the page, and not the rendered version of the page. So while you can make something that renders the…

You just need some extra rights to be able to modify the stylesheet at the space level. It is a fairly straightforward process. You just need to know the classes - basically all page content is a child to the class: wiki-content. If you are concerned about messing up something, have them set up a test space and give you…
-
With that code, you have basically created nested pages. You need to delete this section at the top <!doctype html> <html> <head> <meta charset="utf-8"> <title>Untitled Document</title> </head> <body> And this section at the bottom </body> </html> Your code was confusing the browser. I am surprised it worked as well as it…

Then you are out of luck. Best to check your auto backup directory. Once you find it, I would also suggest setting up a testing server and restoring the site backup to it. Then you can export just that space from the testing server and reimport into the production.
-
I would suggest deleting the fields: ac:macro-id They are supposed to be unique identifiers. I always delete them from my macros.
-
If you are on the server version (which you can tell by scrolling to the bottom of the page and reading the version number), you don't need a plug in. You can modify the CSS stylesheet at both the space and global levels (see styling-confluence-with-css). Your adnin should be able to help you by giving you space admin…
