Oh boy. I think you are in for a hard time. And from the summary I read, it is more analogous to Jira?
-
Not sure what you mean by inline code, are you referring to the code macro? Or do you mean monospace format from the menu? I know that later places HTML code tags around the content, so not sure hyperlinks are allowed.
-
If you are just wanting to display the page in PowerPoint, I suggest another approach: screencapping the page, and pasting the image into your slide. Not sure what tools you have access to, BUT Firefox has a very good screen capping tool built in (option Take a Screenshot) It allows to capture all or part of the page (and…

If you were on the server version, I would suggest reindexing, and possible restarting Confluence. However, in your case, you will need to file a ticket with Atlassian. Viel Spass!

I know of no way to do this. And any kind of workaround is extremely limited in the Cloud version. You may have to change your release note methodology, as I think you have painted yourself into a corner by using tables. Part of this reason is due to how tables work in HTML. cells are objects wrapped by another object to…
-
Do you mean, XML? CSV is usually more common for describing tables? And where is the source for these pages coming from?
-
Can you post your user macro code? Make sure you are following the macro syntax.
-
Yes, but the syntax that is he is using is listed on the wiki markup page.
-
Then I guess it is either a bug, or that function only supports a subset of Wiki markup text effects. I would just try to bold it since that works.
-
Well I would have suggested using page layouts, but sadly, that is also not available on the cloud. and "under consideration" the last 18 months: CONFCLOUD-67648 Just add this to one of the many reasons that Cloud is not yet ready.

When I look at the following page, I don't see any nested test formatting. confluence-wiki-markup Try removing the surrounding pluses to see if there is a change.
-
Unfortunately, the anchor links are not that simple. Hover you mouse over the link, and copy the link and you will see a structure similar to /page+name#pagename-anchortext Don't ask me why they formatted it that way, BUT it is consistent with hour you need to manually enter links to anchors on other pages.

Having been a tech writer for nearly 20 years, I can recommend Confluence highly for documentation. I loved using FrameMaker, but while Confluence doesn't have the same amount of functions, it is a much better platform for collaboration. My suggestion would be to get a free cloud account to start playing with it. You could…

Is this a case of just needing to keep content in sync? In other words, you are changing content in one place, that needs to be reflected elsewhere? If so, you can use the multiexcerpt macro to have the same content appear in multiple places. If you are just wanting to know what changed, you can use the…

I have used this method to move spaces from a Cloud to server, BUT you must pay attention to compatible server versions. Typically you need to be on a fairly recent Server version.
-
My suggesting is to do a space export from your server, then restore that space backup to your cloud instance (or vice versa).
-
I would suggest check on the community.developer.atlassian.com . But for this community, maybe you could write an article about how to modify the editor. It would be a hot topic.
-
This a feature that has been requested for years. ;-)
-
You need to create a user macro with a body that is surrounded by a classed div tag, for example ## @noparams<div class="noborder">$body</div> Then add your desired CSS to the space stylesheet. Note: you place your table inside the user macro instance.

In a word, no. Not without some sort of custom solution. It was never how the product was envisioned to work. It is more a wiki, than a data entry platform. Bill
-
In a word, no. You need either a plugin, or need to develop and external script that takes advantage of the API to perform that task. It is not always elegant, but the quickest way to make the change is search for the misspelled term, and then open and edit the pages in turn. If you have time, it is a task that could be…

Thanks for running this to ground. We haven't moved to 7 yet (held back by plugin changes), so good to know as this will bite me in the rear later on. ;-)
-
Did the render options for the user macro somehow change, so that the output is not rendered?
-
Take a look at this question here. It should point you in the right direction as far as searching for a solution How-to-access-a-page-property-via-macro
-
Sorry I missed that. Let me think about it. You should be able to pull the values as java objects,. i.e., not use the report macro at all.
-
Well the user would select or enter the value when inserting the macro. At that point, that setting is saved to a variable that you can use elsewhere in the code. So in my macro code, the user parameter is set here: ## @param Priority:title=Priority|type=enum|enumValues=Critical,High,Medium,Low Now you can use this value…
-
I assume you are seeing that in the CSS? It is a standard property. See this link: what-is-the-important-property-in-css
-
So you are nesting the page properties macro inside your user macro? My suggestion is to write a wrapper macro around the page properties macro (i,e,, your user macro uses parameters to configure the macro. Then you do not need to parse it. Take a look at this article I wrote to see if this concept would work for you:…

Hello Mohamed, first a disclaimer. I hate Word. ;-) You cannot compare the the two because they have some fundamental differences. With Confluence, you are basically editing in HTML. And Confluence wisely separated out the format from the content. All the formatting is controlled via CSS at the space and global level. This…

No, there is no way to do what you want. What is so hard with user having to type 'e' to edit the page?
