In reading about it, the connector just makes it easier to access file stored in SharePoint, not convert them to Confluence. The company I work for has both SharePoint and Confluence, and we have be moving as much as we can off of SharePoint. Part of this process is rethinking how you store data (using pages rather than…

Confluence 3.2 is 10 years old. Even before my time working with Confluence. ;-) You will have a hard time finding someone that can help you, I'm afraid.
-
That is more of an apples versus oranges type thing. SharePoint is file oriented, sort of a Windows File Explorer on steroids. Confluence is sort of like Wikipedia (page oriented), but much more professional. That means that just moving over files to make them attachments is not the correct methodology. You need to rethink…

There are oddities with the Page Properties Reports. For example, I tried to create a user macro that would allow selecting some standard responses to be stored in the properties table on a page. It looks like it is working, but the reports macro could not retrieve the data.
-
Are you trying to get metadata about a page or data stored on a page? If the former, what exactly?
-
The please accept my answer when you have a chance. ;-)

I wrote an article on how do to do this: Getting Started with User Macros - Writing a Wrapper Macro Take a look to see if this would be doable, and we can go from here. ;-)
-
If I remember correctly, the renderConfluenceMacro method only worked for older style macros which supported wiki markup for entry. There is no equivalent for the newer style macros. What you CAN do is create a wrapper macro that includes and configures the macro you want using its storage format version. I wrote an…

Well the link to pages in Confluence are pretty durable (based on pageID). So you can rename the page, or move it in hierarchy within a space and not break the link. To this end, there are two forms of page links: * https://confluence.example.com/display/SPACEKEY/Page+Title *…

Generally, numbered figures and tables are a print concept, and not recommended in an HTML context. You could add an anchor in front of your figure (with a unique name, then link to that anchor). You link text can just be figure or you could be more formal as Figure:<figure_title>. You COULD create a user macro to stylize…

No, you would have to create a plugin to perform such an operation. If you are just trying to segregate pages, you can create page lists based on filters.
-
First, you can enable permissions to allow anon users to view content at the space level. Are you intending to have users visit your help site, search and find the answer they want? Or are you linking to Confluence as help pages? If you are looking for it to be a help site that documents your system, it works well for…

Then yes, a user macro that basically sets all of your conditions/parameters is the solution. You can have the macro either call a stylesheet or included the code in the macro. If there is overlap in the definitions, you may need to set a class on the iframe.
-
As I call it, Sharepoint is the solution for the 90s! Not sure it is even possible to downgrade? Convert everything to Word files?
-
Yes you could do that. But let's back up to what exactly the end goal is. For example, are you only wanting to do this for one table, or multiple?
-
I will answer in English as it is easier for me. ;-) The answer is no, it is not possible to change the author of an existing page. If it is a serious issue, then here is what you have to do: * Change the title of the page you want to change (add something like "Temp" to the end of the page name. * Have who you want to be…

I would file a bug report with Atlassian. Doesn't seem consistent with the permissions. I tried searching for any bug reports, but did not see any.
-
I think the issue with nested macros is unpredictability with the rendered output. I have always gone the route or wrapping a macro if needed.
-
The settings look correct. Have you tried viewing the pages from a different browser that is not logged into your Confluence instance (with caches cleared) to be sure what an anon user actually sees?
-
Can you take a screenshot of the permission set (at the space level) for anon users? Generally, you should only have View selected.
-
I don't. And given the risk of doing so, I would just opt for the brute force method -- not elegant, but it is safer and probably ends up being less time spent than spinning up a test instance, doing the research and testing of a database change. ;-)
-
You cannot change a space key, You can only change the space name. You have to create a new space with the desired key and then copy over the content of the old space to the new space. There may be a way by hacking the database, but I would do that as a last resort.
-
I would say no. The type of configuration you are talking about is only possible with server or data center.
-
I can also recommend the multiexcerpt macro. As the name implies, it allows you to create multiple named excerpts on a single page that can be used anywhere. I often create a page with multiple blocks of reusable content that I can pull in where I need them, but have all the excerpts controlled from a single page.
-
If you were on server, I would just answer "user macro". But they are not available on the cloud option. So you have to either develop it as a plugin (lots of overhead) or find what you need on the marketplace.
-
Why are you nesting a HTML macro inside the body of the macro? I would just structure the macro so that all the HTML is inside the user macro, and then you can either have body hold the src link, or even make it a parameter with no macro body. Then use the parameters in your code. I would also make the width and height…

I will assume that you had a doc where the number was manually set in the Word doc? When you import, you are converting to HTML. HTML requires that an ordered list be an unbroken chain of list items. So if there are any constructs between bullet items, it breaks an ordered list, "resetting" them to 1.
-
Well he is on the cloud, so could be a caching issue. Does the macro display properly with CRTL F5 while viewing the page? If so, it is just a delay in replication across the CDN -- sometimes an issue with Cloud apps.
-
Yeah, one of the reasons I have recommended against using the Cloud version -- no user macros.

Hallo Torsten, Grüsse aus Texas! There are three things I would check: * Does the behavior differ based on browser? * Are the images pasted or attached to the page? * Does it happen with only certain types of images, for example, PNGs? I have been using Confluence for documentation for 8+ years now, and have not seen these…
