There was no reference to a patch ever being available. The only option is to upgrade to a fixed version.

Just seconding @Radek Dostál answer as being correct.

I have used this plugin in the past to write workflows for documents. You could also write a workflow to ping people on a regular basis. https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/142/comala-document-management?hosting=cloud&tab=overview

No, that is not normal. You can perform an upgrade in place. There are a few files that if you have changed (for example HTTPS), you will need to restore those. There should have been questions when running the installer to point to your existing instance to upgrade, and make backups during the process. Not sure if your…

I would take a look at writing custom CSS for that field.

Since I am on the same version (6.13.23) as you, and saw the notice, I did some research. It seams that 6/13 went EOL when they released the LTS 7.13. Per the 6.13 release notes: Update: We have extended the end of life date for Confluence 6.13. We'll continue to make 6.13.x bugfixes available until the release of the next…

Not sure what you mean by alias. If you are talking about custom domains for Cloud, that is not currently possibe, but is coming (after a 10 year wait). See CLOUD-6999 On public visibiltiy, you do need to change your permissions: Assigning permissions for anonymous access Anonymous access, for all intents and purposes,…
-
In Cloud, you cannot have VPN access controlled. You just set up your spaces to allow anon access rights (under permissions). https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/assign-space-permissions/ Assigning permissions for anonymous access Anonymous access, for all intents and purposes, means public access. It's a…
-
Just to be clear, you can set it up your instance to allow anon users to view. The poster was also wanting to keep the content confidential, but still have unlicensed viewers. That model is not supported. So you can have any number of viewers, but anyone with the URL can view the information.

I am a bit confused as to why you would want to try to use Confluence like a SharePoint replacement. That is not really a good use model for the tool For Word, I would just place the document content as one or more Confluence pages. All users will see the latest version, and it also support simultaneous editing. As far as…

I think Atlassian removed the feature to view the storage view of a page. This will be more complicated. My suggestion is to take a part of your Word document, clear all the formatting and start with a simple format using the builtin in heading 1, etc. formats. THen try to import this document to see what happens. Or am I…
-
And the problem is? ;-) Can you look at the storage format and post a snippet here? That will provide more clues as to what is going on.

IFRC, the expand macro is controlled via client side script that is a part of the macro. I don't know of anyway of controlling its state via URL
-
@Matthew Beda very interesting. I think this would work very well as an article where you go through the theory of how it works to help the user community out there. Some examples of ones I wrote: * Table-Row-Highlighter-CSS-Hack * A-Child-Page-by-Label-User-Macro * Getting-Started-with-User-Macros-Writing-a-Wrapper-Macro
-
One of the issues with Cloud, is you are very restricted when it comes to custimizations. Items that would be easy to fix/control with custom CSS, with or without a wrapper macro, just are impossible in Cloud. And third-pary apps like issue-macro-from-jira-to-confluence arent avaible on the cloud. So you only two options…
-
I think the poster is looking to not just wrap an instance of the macro, but make java calls to retrieve the data and reformat as needed.
-
I guess I am confused. How are you doing backups when you are on the cloud? If you are running on server, you can't really control the memory, except to give Confluence more. But you can set up a cron job to delete backups after a set time (the approach I took).
-
You have verified that the pages are still manually sorted? You can also try changing the Sort Children By setting to see if after changing it to different options, it starts to work correctly? If that doesnt work, try to change the sort order of your pages to see if changing the sort order in the space has an impact.

High @yatindra kumar janghel , I am not a Python expert, but was just looking at what was published to figure out the error. I think if you just strip the html and body tags, the command would work. I would try that as an experiment to see if it is indeed the source of the error.
-
In a word, no. With Cloud, you would have to make pages viewable publically to only have 2 users and allow others to view. Or you have to create a third generic user login for all to use (with restricted permissions). Now that might violate the licensing terms, so be advised. If you were running on server, you could put it…
-
That is one of the major limitations with Cloud, no support for custom CSS, and no support for user macros to work around these limiations.
-
Generally, unless the configuration for that addin doesn't support that option, it cannot be generally set. I would suggest reaching out to K15t to see if they have a solution.
-
I am going to guess that it is the format of your input file. I think you may need to strip the HTML and Body tags. The command syntax is as follows confluence.create_page(space, title, body, parent_id=None, type='page', representation='storage', editor='v2') There are also some examples here:…

@Nico de Haen , it is less a question of maturity, and more of the nature of a large Cloud application, which by nature, are restrictive. What you want to do could be done with the server/data center version, but would require some code custimization to achieve #2 (was not the envisioned use model). Generally, if you want…
-
I wouldnt hold my breath on custom CSS coming anytime soon. The issue has been open 9 years.
-
@Florian Wanoschek Sure. And the other issue I forgot to mention is configuration control. With Cloud, you always get the latest version, even if it deprecates a function you are using or breaks your processes. It would have been really nice if Atlassian had addressed all of these issues before trying to force people off…
-
I have been running on server for a decade. I have had to work on Cloud for a client. It is very frustratiing as so many functions dont exist. The four biggest items missing are: * No support for custom domains (open request for 10 years) * Lack of custom CSS * No user macros. * Very limited page layout options If you were…

These kind of configurations are always fun. Did you also complete Steps 4 and 5 listed on this page: https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/running-confluence-over-ssl-or-https-161203.html If you are behind a router, you may also need to configure port forwarding for 8443 as well. Good luck!

Hello Danielle. Anchors were just recently brough back to Cloud. Are you following the format in the documentation? Link = <span>sitename.domain/wiki/Project+notes#notes-from-today</span> Notice the format of + in spaces of page names. Here is the link to the docs: insert-links-and-anchors/#InsertLinks-neweditor

As Nic suggest, check the logs. The other issue that has got me in the past is running out of heap memory. A system will work for awhile, then it will crash -- so your symptoms are similar. The other issue to check is to make sure you are not being impacted by this issue:…
