Hi @Susan Waldrip, No, for other select list custom fields, workflow properties cannot directly limit the choices available in a select list on a transition screen. This functionality is not built into the standard workflow properties for custom fields. To limit choices for a custom select list field during a transition,…

@Daniel Alonso I have the same problem...

The ACP-500. To this day the most diffcult and best test. You had to do things such as look at a graph of memory usage and determine the issue. Could be things such as garbage collector, lack of memory, etc.

I agree with this. Atlassian, please do not change nomiclature anymore. Improve things, add functionality, but simply changing names of things serves little to no value, and almost always causes more pain than good. I defer to Shakespear on this one. "What's in a name? That which we call a rose, by any other word would…

Hi @ashu patel , There is so much to Jira to get started really need some background on what you are looking to accomplish would help me point you in the right direction. The best way to do is to create a project with a Template and start using it. First are you Agile? If so, create a Scrum or Kanban project with the Jira…

@Mathew LedermanI understand—AQL can definitely be less intuitive than JQL. I have experience importing assets via CSV references. If you’re running into issues with a particular scenario, I’m happy to assist. Best, Robert

Good stuff, watched the webinar, connected the calendar. All easy peasy :-D

I would like to see app usage for cloud. The number one thing I run into as a platnium professional services architect is that clients frequently do not know if they are using the app they pay for. There is already an app usage for…

Thanks @Kinga_Getint and other who replied. This was actually the third in the series. Here are the first two: * https://community.atlassian.com/forums/JSM-News-Discussions-articles/Tips-amp-Tricks-with-JSM-Escalations-in-JSM/ba-p/3035815 *…

Started in Jira as an admin in 2014 and have built my career around it! Who would of thought, that couple of smart dudes (Mike and Scott) wanting to get out of wearing a suit to work would have created such a break-through in ticket tracking tools! My win is starting my series on JSM Tips and Tricks:…

Hi @Calvin, This is fantastic—there’s a lot of great insight here! Below are a few thoughts and reflections on your excellent points: Your first two bullets seem to center around how to define projects in a way that aligns with enterprise needs. That’s always a tricky topic, often specific to each organization. That said,…

In the end, it’s simple—be kind, and help when you can.

The one skill all children should have is basic Jira administration! Where as Bitbucket admin can wait until later in years. ;-D

Wonder if the same is true for Jira...

Hi @Joe Pursel, Thanks for the kind words! Yes you should be able to do cascading fields. The magic here is the CSV has to be formatted correctly with the "->" characters. For example: Summary, My Cascading Field Example Summary, Parent Value -> Child Value Best, Robert

Hey @Renata_Getint , Please let me know if there is any other way to apply, I have written several articles in the Atlassian space. I have over a decade of experience in the Atlassian ecosystem, am an Atlassian Certified expert, and am a lead architect for a Platnium Atlassian Professional services partner. Best, Robert

Scratch that Scriptrunner was disabled. My mistake. Thanks!

Hi @Florian BonniecI had found and tried that and this is what I got. Both times not found. Scriptrunner is installed. What am I missing?!? I am Jira-admin.

I prefer to do the later. That way all users are associated to the same scheme., espcially if you want to import from say LDAP.

There may be some new plugins that accomplish this; however, we are implementing something simliar and our parent company is developing something specific to aid in phone support via JSM; I will ping them after the holidays to see if we can make it available in the marketplace.
-
Turns out there is another solution for this that Atlassian just added called External Link.
-
Thanks Nic and Mark, Yeah I just was asked by a customer and couldn't find an apps from my marketplace searches to do it. So this led me to be curious if there were anything out there. Mark, I agree and do not have a real use case was just asked by an Atlassian customer (I am a partner architect).

you can create a custom report from a programatic standpoint using the CLI. Grab the issues through a jql and then go through each issue and grabs its history. Now you have all the data, just write a prgoram to get all the data you need and display it in say a google chart or whatever tool you like

Yeah Having multiple names for the same ID was never the problem. I really do not care what "name" it shows. I just do not want to start over losing all my points. The problem I have now is that everytime I change jobs my email id changes and everything must get moved from the old ID to the new one. Not sure if this is…

For what it is worth here is what we did. * We added a message to the main portal with a URL that redirects them. * We added a request type for that particular set of requests * We added automation to automatically close any ticket raised with number 2 giving them the corect url to fix the issue. This works but is not…
